This little trio really knocked my socks off. I saw it at a dollar store and the bright colors caught my eye. Normally colors this bright for this price won't show up even applied wet and with primer. But for $1 there was nothing to lose. When I got home and swatched it I almost jumped in my car to go buy out the rest. These are PIGMENTED. Especially the teal color in the middle, these are the quality of shadows in the $30+ price range. That teal in the middle is Lime Crime levels of bright. I can easily be toned down though. I used the purple in the outer corner and through the whole crease (Twiggy style) with the teal on the lid. Then I put the pink color from crease to brow. With a blending brush I blended the purple and teal out/upwards. It created the prettiest lavender spring look that is just everywhere right now. I am pleased as punch with this purchase. The next time I'm within a mile of that store I'm going to go buy more of these because it's just too good to pass up. The staying power isn't amazing, but with a primer it lasts just fine.

I got this from the dollar store and it was an amazing purchase! The colors are super-pigmented and long lasting! A little goes a long way with these products and for the price and quality I will repurchase.

I actually passed by this little trio the first time I saw it. But when I saw it again I had to get it. It was so affordable so I might as well try it! I was a little worried because L.A. Colors can be very hit or miss... But this is great! There's a light lavender purple, a light aqua blue, and a light rosey pink. They are pigmented and last a good amount of time with a base and/or primer.
Also, I realized these colors look familiar...I went through and compared it to my Too Faced Enchanted Glamourland palette(LE holiday 2010). It has 3 colors that are very similar! Not exact dupes(I swatched on my hand quickly) but close. So if you missed that this is a good substitute for those three colors!

The 3 colors in this little palette are awesome! The shadows their self are slightly larger than a quarter, so very nice amount for the $1.00 at the Dollar store if you can find any there. The colors are a lighter lavender leaning towards purple, a paler type grass green with a tad bit of aqua flavor, and a bright pink that I feel has a bit of salmon color to it. All 3 are lovely. I use UD lid primer most days but sometimes I do not. I think the L.A. shadows last all day and longer. I like it very much that there is no glitter but yet the shadows still glisten! I think these colors compare well with UD shadows as far as the brightness, quality of light that shines through the shadow, and lasting ability. I often pair the L. A. Colors with my UD colors as they are very similar and the small variance of the shades compliment each other well.
I think there are 8 different 3 color palettes that I have seen. I have only 4 of them so far, but I am thinking of adding the others to complete the set. ;-) Some of the palettes are more earthy colors & darker shades that I personally do not wear very often, but now that I see how well these blend with my UD palettes, I think I could use them all if they were in my collection.
I will be buying the rest when I find them. continued >>
