This is a fun product to use, with a pleasant smell. When you first apply it, it seems perfect. As it dries to a matte, your lips will start flaking and the color starts fading. Some lip balm or gloss will help with the dryness.

I'm currently obsessed with this "bare faced, just a bright red lip" look for the past few months, & I first tried this after being given 1 as a birthday present. I like it for an easy, normal day look, it does not dry my lips like some matte lippies do but then again, the staying power isn't great. I prefer MAC's Ruby Woo or Stila's Fiery in times when I know I'll be eating/drinking loads & there will be piccies taken (with no time to retouch!) It's okay. I use it for a bright, poppy, slightly pink red from time to time. It's nothing super special I guess, it has very little staying power and the color isn't that exceptional. Maybe I'll start using it again for a pop against all the neutrals I wear, but ehhh I probably wouldn't go out of my way to repurchase.

I want to start off by saying this product smells JUST like vanilla cupcakes! It's amazing! It is a doe-foot applicator which isn't really a big deal to me, but when applying, it can make the color a tad bit streaky, causing me to apply quite a bit of product. When first applied, it feels and looks pretty creamy, but after about 10 minutes, it dries completely matte. After about 6 hours of eating, drinking, talking, etc., this lip cream did not transfer onto my teeth or drink, though after eating, it did wear off ever so slightly, but the staying power is excellent compared to most lip products I own. This is a vibrant tomato red, and I purchased it for around $5 at Ulta.

Wonderful matte lipstick alternative. These little buggers dry down to a matte finish fully in about 8-10 minutes and they aren't gonna budge (granted you aren't going to be licking your lips constantly). You can put these over top of a lip balm and still expect them to dry down, albeit it takes a little bit longer. These aren't really drying, though they aren't hydrating, but they are very comfortable to wear and a wonderful alternative if you don't want the hassle of carrying a lipstick, liner, and lip brush in your bag. The doe-foot applicator does a surprisingly good job at applying the product as long as you don't glob a lot of product near the very tip, other than that you're golden! I get a lot of compliments when I wear this!

This product is great as a single coat and double or over a sexy red lip like NYX electra

And the good thing about is that it doesn't bleed and it adheres to your natural lip color.

Tips:
Wear a little moisturizer under it or wear it a few hours before..* you should be moisturizing ur lips regularly anyway*
and EXFOLIATEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! it's important
you can use a lip liner, but I don't think its needed.
Use your fingers to blend it perfectly

beautiful lipstick, purchased it in shades tokyo and Istanbul, love love love istanbul, more impressed with it than MAC honey Love!! tokyo is a beet more sheer than istanbul but its still great for a matt lipstick, its not as drying as MAC honey love and looks lovely on the lips

A cheap fix for your red lip craving! Not an HG product but it gets the job done. Is it drying? Yep. Not surprising since it is a matte lip product. I forked over $4 for this guy and I'm content. Worth a shot and ulta has a good return policy so there's no need to be too hesitant.

This is my first lip cream by NYX and I am in love with it upon the first application. The colour is beautiful and the matte texture spreads very evenly on my lips. Often my lipsticks tend to dry my lips out if I don't apply lip balm to set first. But, this product sits so well on my lips and has such a natural look to it. You can look dramatic yet soft! Definitely will buy this over my other nyx lipsticks any day. I find this works best when using your fingers to apply, but then again, I always preferred using my fingers over any kind of applicators. If you want a deeper red, probably use the applicator that comes with it. Gonna get more colours soon!

I love the texture of these soft matte lip creams, its a very nice velvet finish that is just amazing. When applied and blended with fingers, the texture is extremely natural and has a sort of natural lip skin texture. Amsterdam is a cool toned pigmented red which looks pretty nice against my NC25 skintone. It stains my lips a bit but overall, the lasting power is not good. It fades within a few hours if you're eating and drinking, and I'm talking a light snack and not a meal. Also, its not the most convenient thing to apply. The applicator is not that useful and the formula tends to go everywhere. Using a lip brush with this is a futile effort and I find that the best thing to do is spread it with fingers. If you want a precise application, a lipliner is necessary. I won't buy it again just because its not the most long lasting and easy to apply.
