I absolutely love these! Be forewarned that if you buy the bigger size, they won't work for fine hair. I use the mini-size ones and put my hair in a twist and it'll hold all day. My hair is a couple inches past my shoulders, fine and blonde. If I use the bigger ones like in the picture, my hair falls out. But I finally found the mini ones at Walgreens and they work awesome. I got so excited when I finally found them I bought 4! Best hair accessory ever!

These are amazing! Goody has really impressed me with their ouchless/flex/metal free line. I have used several different hair accessories from these lines and really like them. The detail and thought that they put into these is amazing.

These really are a godsend. Totally a must have for me! It have been a little disappointed because they are becoming harder to find lately. I really hope they do not discontinue these!

These are basic, oval shaped barrettes. The under side has a ring of rubber. The rubber has little nubbins or teeth on them to grip the hair. The rubber its self gives it some grip as is, but the added little nubbin/texture really means that they don’t slide or move at all!

The band of rubber also ‘gives’ at the end where the metal ones would normally clap. With this application/method of closing the clip means there is nowhere for the hair to get stuck or snagged. This why I love these “ouch less” and “metal free” because my frizzy, curly, unruly hair usually gets stuck on hair apparatuses and when I take them out it is not uncommon to feel pulling and hear hair breaking. That is never the case with these!

And despite being made of rubber and flexible plastic, they really do stay on and keep my hair secure WITHOUT pulling it to tight. They lay flat on your head, so nothing will jab/poke. And, best of all, they look stylish. I can put my hair up with these and look polished and like I put some thought into my hair do while being comfortable.

And, man, are the comfortable. They keep my hair out of the way and secure but not tight – like a ponytail tie. I can sleep in these - they are that comfortable. I can lean my head back onto a chair and not be jabbed in the back of the head. Love it!

Usually they come in only black and brown, but occasionally I have found them in colors either sold for children or as part of the “trends” collections they come out with seasonally. I have seen them in 2 sizes: you either get a 2-pack of the small, or a single large.

The small ones are perfect for a half up half down do. I do this a lot. The larger ones a great for a modified French twist. This is my go to hair style for long work days, or when I am traveling because I can lean back while in the car/train/plain and still have nice looking hair when I arrive where ever I am going. I love these! Goody, please continue to make these! And if you made more stylist ones, I will love you even more!
Price: around $4
