CANNOT live without! I found this on Amazon and am so glad they carry now at Whole Foods! I use for my nighttime moisturizer and love. I have very dry skin and this makes my face feel amazing without the oily feel. I tried the Marajuca Oil and went back to this, liked the texture and results much better. I also add to my hair before blow out, much better priced with the same great results than the Josie Maran/Moroccan Oil brands.
It's weird that I didn't like this argan oil. I usually buy the small bottle by Josie Maran, and that suits me fine. (I once got a sample of Kahina and was ecstatic about it, but can't justify the price!) Some people say it's all the same, and I'm really not sure that's true. This one seemed a little thick and heavy, and it smelled a little green -- or something. I gave it away, and spent the same amount for half as much at Josie Maran -- but I wonder if I'm crazy?
I have combination skin and some wrinkles in my cheeks. I was hesitant about putting oil on my face but I gave it a try. After one month my skin has improved and it's brighter and healthier. It feels so good on my skin. I would buy this again, I really liked this oil.
I'm fairly new to various oils for beauty treatments. I got this because of the general hype over argan oil. And also because it's in a cute bottle but only $12.
I use this on my face as a night treatment (alternating with my rose hip seed oil), on my nails whenever they seem dry & 2 drops to the ends of my hair when it's wet. I also use a few drops mixed in with my DD's leave-in conditioner. She has wavy/curly hair but coconut oil is way too heavy for her. Argan works nicely.
Overall, it's really nice to have on hand & the bottle is pretty enough to leave out on your vanity.
This is too greasy to use on my face, so I mix a few drops in with my body moisturizer and it locks in the moisture all day. I wouldn't repurchase this because it didn't work for the original intended use (face) and I won't use it on my hair because it is just too heavy.
I recently bought this off iHerb.com and it arrived a couple of days ago. I've been using it all over my face for about two nights and it's probably too early to say, but I haven't seen any improvements in my skin. First of all, the packaging is poor quality. Real argan oil should be stored in dark glass as light causes the oil to deteriorate. The oil itself smells like feces whereas real argan oil should have a sweet, nutty smell. Either this isn't argan oil or it has gone rancid. I was very sceptical about using this after smelling it due to the fact I've spend thousands on clearing my acne up recently. The oil does not "sink" into the skin as argan oil should - it leaves an oily residue. I tried using a tiny amount on my hair as I would usually use argan oil but when I woke up the next morning my hair had a very greasy appearance to it. The previous argan oil I used on my hair left my ends very soft and shiny. I will probably ask iHerb.com for a refund as this product is a complete waste of money. I will definitely not be using it again.
As usual, tricky labeling laws means consumer misery.
Is this 100% usda argan oil or 100% *argan* oil or what? I mean, I once bought aloe gel which had '100% gel' label on it. I assumed that means all aloe gel, but aparently that was not the case! Same thing here.....this argan oil seems to have some filler oil. It also smells awful and honestly, I did not see any difference in skin quality after using this. It caused small areas of breakouts instead.
Probably 2012 was the year of argan.....hehe
This product is amazing. And it's not expensive. I had been using this...then I ran out. I was lazy, and picked up a moisturizer (because I have to drive further and deal with stuff for Acure), St Ives Collagen, at Walgreens. I'll review that over-hyped nonsense elsewhere, but, I'm back with the Acure argan oil. It really does something amazing to the texture of my skin, it's very noticeable. I haven't used it in the summer...but, I'm still going to go for it...makeup doesn't stay on my face at all anyway in the summer. I'd say if you like an oil, you are over 35...this is the stuff.
This stuff is amazing. However, you MUST know that you have to splash your face with rosewater or and Acure organics toner and then blend this argan oil serum in while you face is damp. It makes a huge difference!
I have oily / acne prone skin. I have had bad acne in the past, so I have some scarring. My skin is alway red and sensitive. I was also hesitant to put oil on my face, but I have used this treatment at night WITH THE ACURE ROSE + RED TEA TONER and I have seen a BIG difference. My skin is glowing and repaired!
The other thing that I love about this product (and all Acure products) is that it is 100% toxin free! No damaging Parabens, Phthalates, sulfates, artificial fragrance or dyes!
I'm not sure if I'm going to buy this again. It's great around my eyes for minimizing fine lines. But I have to be careful to keep it off the rest of my face because it makes me break out. I think camellia oil works better for me as a facial oil.
