word of warning: this color chips like no other. i wore it with seche vite topcoat and it STILL chipped -- i've never had this problem with any other polish before.

but onto the color: it's a very clean, vibrant blue creme. no murkiness and no "muted" quality, just a vibrant, cool (purple-leaning) dark blue. (to call it "navy" would be an error in categorization -- navy refers to a muted, warm-toned dark blue.) it's kind of a deepened cobalt or royal blue.

Orly la playa was released in 2010 for its summer collection. La playa is a dark but bright blue that dies to a cream finish. It lasted on my nails for about 3 days before I noticed a chip. The only problem I have with Orly is the brush; it's too thin and dosen't move well. The formula was on the thick side but not goopey.
