i have the 1" tapered curling wand in black. the bottom line with this product is, it works well.by this i mean it gets very hot, and in turn it produces curls and waves that last for days. a general rule of thumb with this product is hold it for longer with smaller sections of hair for tighter traditional curls.and hold it for seriously 5 seconds with bigger pieces of hair to create a wavy and/or bigger loose curl.because the barrel is tapered, there are a few different things you can style with it. play around with it to see how your hair reacts.it curls FAST. really do not hold it on a section of hair for more than 10 seconds. i know they sell them at the mall, but i purchased mind at a swap-meet(new) for 15 bucks. it included the wand, a glove, and a dvd. be fair warned though: it is a super basic tool. there is no indicator light, no temperature gauge.only an on and off button. and because it's tapered and is made out of a slick material, it can be a little tricky to maneuver as hair can slip off. if i were to judge on the basis of the end result, i give this product 5 lippies. if judging only on the basis of the functionality, probably a 2.5-3.

This thing is amazing! I've had a Her Styler Straightener before and it worked awesome.. I was in the market for a curling iron and honestly no matter how many times I've attempted to curl my hair with a regular curling iron.. I just can't seem to master it. So I found this. Now everyones talking about the conair infinti curling wand... I tried it and didn't like it at all. I don't want teeny tiny spiral curls.. I wanted big gorgeous curls that could be turned into loose waves if I brush it out enough.. and that's what I got!! This thing heats up sooooo quickly.. and cools down fast as well. You just take your hair and wrap it around.. hold for about 5 seconds and drop your hair. Very simple and fast! They come in 2 different sizes.. I of course got the bigger one so I could have big curls. I believe it was about $60 on amazon.. Comes with a heat protective glove and in many colors! (:
