This is absolutely beautiful. I don't really think it lives up to the one-coat name but two coats will do it. It's packed with glitter! Of course like any glitter polish it's difficult to remove. Also, just take note, it's grainy and matte when you put it on, but a couple layers of top coat will fix that. It's also great for sponge gradients. A friend who saw my nails said, "It looks like you fingered the seventies!"
I have to say, this is one of the most beautiful polishes I own and looks amazing on warm toned skin. It catches the light beautifully but it isn't too much. It is fully opaque in two coats but I found that even with a top coat it starts to chip in a couple days but it is easy to touch up being a glitter.
Fabulous color for fall and winter. At first I thought It might look too old?? But its soo pretty and packed with glitter that two coats is sufficient but do three for an extra kick. The ends of your nails may feel a bit rough because of the glitter so its best to finish with a top coat.
This is a great polish. One of my first I bought, I was practically a muggle when I got it. It is pretty true- one coat does give you enough opaqueness to get away with it. But, I'm a sucker for packed glitter and do 3 coats. It's intensely sparkly and I get compliments literally every time I wear it.
The gold is not light-it's more like goldenrod, a slightly darker color. But honest, I like how unique that is and I'm often reaching for a darker gold than a lighter one.
The price is OK. Milani doesn't give you too much polish, but it's better than an OPI or Essie price tag. You do go through a lot though. I've used it maybe 3 times, for a full 3 coat mani and it's about 75% full. But hey, I have like 100 polishes so I'm not too stressed.
Definitely worth the money esp. if you are looking for that deep, darker gold.
This color is gorgeous !!!!! It is kind of expensive for a drug store brand but it's worth it.
One Coat Glitter? Yeah right you might be saying BUT ITS TRUE. Unlike most glitter nail polishes which require like 6 coats in order for the color to be seen this Milani nail polish does what it says it does. One coat is all that is needed, it dries fast and it does not dry bumpy like all the glitter nail polishes out there. Got many compliments wearing this nail polish, true definition of the color gold! Recommend this to everyone P.S buy it @ walmart, its 3.50 whereas at walgreens it was 5 bucks!
I was browsing the makeup aisle and this polish jumped out at me. I really love gold polishes but I don't have any in my collection with orange/copper particles like this one. It's very unique. One coat looks great but I did two for a little extra kick. It's not a smooth finish but I actually like the matte texture. It reminds me a lot of OPI's Suedes but with sparkle. This is the perfect fall color! It's reminiscent of autumnal foliage but with glistening, magical glitter. I only have one other Milani polish that I've had for eons and it still works like a dream. I'm definitely going to look into getting some more. If you're looking for a sophisticated glitter that is something special, I highly suggest checking this out! I can't stop looking at my nails :)
An ode to Milani Gold Glitz.
You are the best gold glitter,
You make my heart go patter pitter,
To see you twinkling on my nails,
Brings me joy that never fails.
Seriously, this nailpolish is the best thing I have found in a very very long time. I bought it on a whim because i was sick of glittering my nails with sprinkle on glitter or billions of coats of sparse glitter that were all one hue. Instead, this glitter is a mix of warm golds, cool golds and copper. It gives it the most amazing, in depth appearance that is so unique and special. And the one coat claim?! You really can get away with one coat, if you go clowly and make sure you cover all the areas. I did have to do 2 coats on my big toenail because the're wasn't enough polish on the brush, but otherwise, you could get away with one. I end up always doing 2 for durability, but it's nice to know it's possible if I'm in a hurry. Without a topcoat, this has a semi-matte suede appearance. But with 2 coats of Seche Vite, this has the most glorious glimmering shine to it. Needless to say, I ran back to my local FRed Meyer and bought this polish in every color available. No longer must glitter nails be difficult to apply! and these are pretty easy to remove too. I'm going to buy so many backups of these colors in case they are ever discontinued.
This polish is so so beautiful. One coat covers 95% of your nail in shiny glitter particles. You can put on another layer but I wanted to see how long the polish would last this way. You don't even have to be in direct sunlight to see the glittery effect, strangely it's noticeable even inside in not so well lit rooms. The only thing that bothers me a bit is the texture because it's really gritty. I guess that could be resolved with a top coat (?) but i don't own one since my nail polish obsession hasn't lasted that long yet. I intend to buy at least one other color, probably ''blue flash''.
