It is pleasant and when you apply it on a cotton wool and clean around your eyes it does not rub against the skin. I also use the Simple liquid eye make up remover and I am happy with it too. The only thing is that with the cream it can get into your eyes and so I only use it to wipe off the mascara residue each morning. For a full eye make-up remover I use the liquid remover.

This removed all my eye make-up quite well, but it left a very oily film on my skin. Also it irritated my eyes quite a lot, leaving them red and watery. I used a little on a cotton wool pad. The only way to help this was to then remove that film with a hot damp muslin cloth. But even that wouldn't calm my eyes down completely....not a good look! As a sensitive skin / eyes person, I find Simple disappointing as a brand.

NIGHTMARE!!!!

Will never buy this product again! Bought this as I have used Simple products before, however this "conditioning" make up remover left me with burnt eyelids.

I appears to have had the same effect as the "eye make up remover" and alot of the reviews I have read on that item are similar to the experience I had.

First time I used this I had a sore eyes and I used a very small amount.

The next day I had sore, red eyes especially in the outter corners and stopped using the product.

The following day my eyes were worse, dispite not even using it anymore and my whole eye lids were red and inflammed. I bathed them in cold water to help calm them down.

After a few days of just cleansing my face with just water and Simple Foaming Cleanser, my eyes became cracked and then peeled, similar to sunburn,

They are now alot better and I had put in in the bin!

Looking at the reviews on the other Simple eye make up removers, it appears that there may be something they have in this item only, as I have never had problems with Simple before.

I wouldnt even recommed this item to even test if it works for you, since I only used it the one and a very little amount and had a week of pain!

Peace xxxx

It's creamy and makes the eye area really soft and supple without leaving the eyelids oily.

However I don't use this for removing eye-makeup anymore. Instead I smear it on my dark circles at night and then I cut a cotton pad into two half circles and apply these on top of the cream to really lock it in. 5 minutes later I remove the pads and my dark circles are slightly diminished. Even better, my eyecream sinks in a lot better

This is a newcomer to the Simple brand of eye make-up removers and I was so impressed with it that I had to review it on MUA. Lets be honest - eye make-up removers are only successful at removing mascara if they 'work' dissolving the type of mascara that is adhered to the lashes and can be very hit or miss. My mascara of choice (controversially) is L'Oreal Double Extension Beauty Tubes which is applied after a coat of primer and forms a 'tube' around each lash that is removable with warm water. I top this with a coat of Max Factor False Lash Effect, to seperate and even out any clumps,so you can imagine I like a full on lash look lol!!! Removal can be tricky to say the least as I have to remove the MF first and then can't be bothered to wash off the L'Oreal underneath! I need a product to remove them both and this has required, on occasion, lots of product and rubbing. Not so with Simple Nourishing cream. I bought it (a) because it was on a cheap offer and (b) you can't have enough remover right? I would describe it as a creamy lotion rather than a thick cream and it does contain an oil type emulsifier to 'melt' the mascara, however it doesn't leave a greasy film over the eyes. A little on a cottonwool pad held over the lashes for a few seconds and my mascara totally lifts off cleanly with two gentle wipes. I don't need much product and the skin around my eye area feels really soft afterwards. I wear contact lenses for long periods and my eyes get sensitive and sore, this product is non-irritating and actually quite soothing. It also doesn't leave me with dreaded panda eyes in the morning, a sign of a great remover. This works well at a very reasonable price. For me it is my new HG remover and a definate repurchase.
