This actually does what it says. Great full lash effect, it also seemed to give a tiny bit more length. Unfortunately, it flakes throughout the day. The wand also takes a bit of getting used to....but money would be better spent on something else.

Stays on, lives up to it's name, and doesn't budge. I have rubbed my eyes with it on, I have cried with this on, and I've even been swimming with it on. It gives you amazing volume and length. It is a little liquidy but It dried. When you get it wet it stays on but flakes a little. It makes you lashes big and bold. It keeps the curl but not when It gets wet. Everything smudges on my lower lashline but not this. It stays on me forever and lasts long in the bottle. I know it expires when it smudges on me. The wand can be a little awkward to hold and apply sometimes but my fingers have a lot of friction so it doesn't slip and slide in my hands so I don't find it a problem. I love this with bold and edgy looks. It stays even if you are sweating, crying, or swimming (for me, more like drowning. At least I looked good when I was saved ;D)

I've been wanting to try Covergirl Last-Blast because of the hype, so when I finally did I realized it was waterproof...I was sad
But when I put it, I personally loved the volume a lot! The lengthening it gives...is satisfying not dramatic or OMG though. I love how it stays in place all day,nor does it smudge, even when I accidentally rub my eyes! This is my everyday mascara so far, and my friends comment on how beautiful my lashes are! :D
Taking it off is a horrible experience, so I'm gonna get the non-waterproof asap! So overall I LOVE IT, but waterproof...get waterproof only if your going swimming or gonna cry a lot!!!

probably the BEST mascara I have personally found. I have tried LOTS of different kinds...expensive and inexpensive. This one is fair price and makes my eyelashes look the most bold out of any of the different kinds. I dont like all the covergirl ones and this one I do love! Only the orange applicator I like. The yellow and purple arent as good....

Even with its annoying downsides, this is my HG mascara! I have stick straight asian lashes that are unusually short and thin.. I have never found another mascara that gives me as much volume or curls as well as the lashblast volume. The downsides are that the package is horrible. I find it tacky and unpractical, due to its shape and size. The waterproof is also extremely hard to remove. I recommend using baby oil or olive oil, but it still grabs on to my lashes too well. Now, most importantly, this mascara wears incredibly. I have never experience smudge or flaking, only on days when I yawn 50 times.. So unless you have extremely oily eyelids or all mascara tend to smudge and flake on you, just get the regular lashblast volume. Otherwise, this mascara is seriously worth a try!

I have straight lashes, wear contact lenses, and my eyes tear up a lot! I have no issue with the brush, I actually kind of like it. The tube is huge and takes a ton of space. I got the waterproof lashblast and it did curl my eyelashes BUT it smudges all over the place and removal was super tough. Almost felt like black glue on my lashes. I tried removal with micellaire lotion, lancome makeup remover, Kiehls eye makeup remover and none actually did the job of removing this stuff - as I tried lashes were coming off. I will defintely not try again.

Covergirl lashblast ran me about $6.98 at target so its pretty average as far as cost goes with DS mascaras. I bought this after i ran out of the lashblast fusion in the purple tube which i liked. So I decided to give this one a try after i had heard such great reviews. Basically the two are the exact same thing. Same brush, same tube (different color), except the fusion is water resistant and this one is actually water proof which is good.
I really liked the brush because whenever i use the pipe cleaner-type , my lashes clump and this is great at separating them and coating them. After one coat, my lashes looked fuller, darker, and longer. With two, they're insanely dramatic but in good way.
The wear is also pretty good too. I would apply at 8:00 am and no flakes or hint of dullness at 9 PM. which for my oily eyes is phenomenal and nothing short of a miracle. In all, CoverGirl did good with this mascara. The only thing that irks me with this mascara is that when I remove it at the end of the day, one or two of my lashes fall out. This tends to happen a lot more with Maybelline IME, but i guess it's just a waterproof thing. I will repurchase until i find a better one.

I received this product as a gift after my BFs mom realized she bought waterproof by mistake. I had been a faithful maybelline colossal volume waterproof mascara wearer prior to trying this. I like it better and it think it is going to be my new regular mascara. The thick brush prevents clumping and it don't notice any flaking at the end of the day. My other mascara usually caused some. I have very long eyelashes so I often have mascara underneath my eyelid by the end of the day, even with waterproof kinds, but I haven't had that problem during the 2 weeks I have been using this product. I will buy again for sure.

Overall this mascara is definitely the one to get if you are browsing through drugstore mascaras. This may sound strange to some, but I think that your eyelashes have to "learn" the new mascara. A lot of my mascaras I uses a certain one over and over again and learn that my eyelashes adjust to it. I use another mascara and wear that same one I had previously used and the results turn out the same. I say this because I like to alternate between this one and the Maybelline Falsies. Anyways, back to the product! The price is a tad bit pricey to some for a drugstore mascara. The packaging is simple and plain, but it works! Since the applicator tip is quite large, this would not be a good mascara for beginners. I recommend the waterproof version of this because it will hold your curl and won't shed of any flakiness. The mascara isn't very clumpy but you may want a lash comber in one hand, just in case! :)

This was my favorite mascara until The Falsies came out. I got used to the brush, so if that's the only thing that is stopping you from trying Lashblast, just go buy it. It's good for naturally dramatic lashes (if that makes sense), since it gives you a lot of definition without a lot of 'fake lash' look. It's pretty waterproof, a little flakey when you get it wet tho.

The brush is pretty big so it gets on my lid sometimes. I prefer fiber brushes instead of plastic ones. It volumizes pretty well and gives a little bit of length. It didn't smudge too much but it still did unfortunately. I wouldn't buy this again because it didn't lengthen enough for me but if you have long lashes then this would be FANTASTIC for you.

This mascara is an excellent, everyday workhorse mascara. While it doesn't seem to add much volume to my lashes, this isn't a major detriment as my lashes are already long and thick. I just needed something simple to darken my lashes and keep my curl going, and for that this is perfect. I have to wear waterproof formulas since I wear contacts and need to put in eye drops fairly often, and this mascara never flaked or smudged on me. My contacts were never irritated, and this is easily removed with an oil-based cleanser (I use FANCL's). I had to take two lippies off though because the mascara has a pretty potent chemical smell when you open the tube , and the wand is HUGE so if you have small eyes like me you'll need to be careful not to poke your eye with it.

This is my HG wp mascara - have repurchased many times. Waterproof and smudgeproof. Takes a little extra effort to take off but not too bad with Lancome BiFacil.

It might be waterproof, but smudgeproof it is not. It smudges horribly, even when I'm wearing glasses and can't even directly touch my eyes. I will be going back to Maybelline...

Looking at the commercials, packaging. i assumed this would be great. so i took a break from my regular telescopic mascara and tried this out. the big brush poked in my eyes allll the time, the effect was okay, too subtle.it always runs, and residue is left on my lid.
i would not reccommend it, there are better mascaras for a lower price.

I've been on a hunt for a good new waterproof mascara ever since my HG GOSH Waterproof Lift 'N Shape was discontinued. I find that most mascaras tend to crumble off of the tips of my lashes, leaving my lashes short and blunt (namely Maybelline Full 'N Soft Waterproof, which I otherwise love, and also L'Oreal Voluminous Waterproof, which I used to otherwise love), or they just flake in general from all over the place, leaving me with terribly irritated eyes. I had avoided trying this mascara for so long because I didn't think I'd like the brush, since I haven't liked plastic brushes in the past (I find the product sticks to them but won't transfer to my lashes), but I actually really liked the application of the Lashblast this morning when I tried it out. The bristles are actually rubber (not plastic as I had originally thought they were) which seem to coat the lashes more easily. The fat wand kind of gently paints the formula onto your lashes while the short rubber bristles just help keep your lashes separated without catching on them or messing them up. I only needed one coat, which was only about 3 swipes of the brush on each upper lashline, and my lashes were quite noticeably thicker, still curled and fanned out beautifully! I was impressed! I would say that if you're having issues with application, the trick is to let the brush do the work and just gently and slowly sweep it up straight from root to tip in a straight line (you can do a few light wiggles at the base of your lashes for extra thickness as well) as if you're painting them with it. You really don't need to fuss with this brush like you do with others and it literally only takes about 3 single brush swipes per lash line to fully cover your lashes. I absolutely loved the application (probably the easiest, quickest mascara to apply that I've ever come across, and really works at adding noticeable volume). It also wears very well without flaking or crumbling (I can't say for certain that it doesn't smudge because I wear a lot of eyeliner so I likely wouldn't notice if it did) and is very waterproof. But I had also read many reviews with complaints about the difficulty of removal, and to my disappointment, I had the same issues, even when using mineral oil. It takes a lot of time to gently work this mascara off of your lashes (don't want to rub too hard in fear of breaking/losing lashes), even compared to other waterproof formulas. That is the only reason I don't think it's going to work for me. I wouldn't suggest not to try it... I imagine the washable formula would be great for people who can wear non-waterproof mascaras (and the waterproof would be great if not used everyday), but I really seem to need waterproof on a daily basis because my horrid allergy eyes run like mad and keep my lashes moist pretty much all the time. Bummer!
Update: I tried the non-waterproof version today and it did not work for me at all. It didn't add as much volume, made my lashes a bit stick-like, and it completely sucked out my curl. Also, it confirmed for me that I do definitely need waterproof mascara because it was running from my lash line before I was even able to leave the house this morning. The waterproof version is definitely worth the extra effort to remove at night.
Update 10/19/2011: I ended up returning this. It started breaking my lashes worse than Great Lash Waterproof. Boo! :( Going back to re-trying mascaras that I had so/so experiences with in the past (ones I wasn't crazy about but also didn't destroy my lashes), since I've already tried most of the others and haven't had any luck. Frustrating!

This is an amazing mascara! It stays on all day and i don't have to worry about it coming off. I have it in the back version and it looks very natural. But the downside to it is it clumps if you apply too many coats. bBut otherwise this is a very good mascara and i recommend it.

I usually don't hate a product so much that i can't even find a way to make it work. With this product I can't even use it I hate it that much! I love covergirl and I heard many great reviews of it on youtube and beauty websites. First of all the packaging is way to bulky and difficult to hold on to while your applying it! The formula is way to messy and clumpy that it gets all over everything! Lastly the bristles of the wand are way to short that it doesn't catch your eyelashes well. Over all I really dislike this product and would not recommend it!

I cant believe I never tried this mascara before!!A friend recommended it to me and I am hooked:))I can only use waterproof on my eyelashes as regular mascara smudges on me,and when the mascara gets old it flakes. This mascara does neither.I curl my eyelashes for more than 30 sec.(doing 1 eye at a time)as the curl starts to go rather quickly on me.This stuff actually makes my lashes soooo long and there almost touching my eyebrows !!!Pretty good for my little bitty lashes..lol!Nice,long lashes:)I put this stuff on like 5:30am in the morning and its still holds the curl beautiffully at 5:30 pm.And its pretty much 100F here most days(not so much now thou)I will repurchase!!!

The thing I like about it is that it holds a curl really well. But over all, I hate this macara. My lashes a pretty long but thin and really spars and does not do anything for my lashes. First of all, it stinks so bad, like chlorine and when put on it starts to burn my eyes (stops burning when mascara drys). When it drys, my lashes are extremely stiff and hard. Thru out the day, it starts to flake and I get little black flakes under my eyes, which is not good looking at all. You would think that it would be really easy to remove since it flakes, but no. Its a pain in the butt to remove. By the time all the mascara is off, my eyes are really red and raw. Hate it! Not worth the hype.
