I love it, it smells great (some find it strong but i like it) and it helped my acne hyperpigmentation! The only thing i don't like is the jar.
I did like it when i first got the cream. I had not been applying moisturise for months and found my face a tad dry. When i first put this on, my face looked brighter and radiant - no kidding. But that effect soon faded, or maybe its not possible for your skin to look any brighter? i was ok with the rose scent as well, which i think most pple really hate.
anyway, the stuff i don't like about this cream soon outweighed the fact that it had, once upon a time, given me brighter skin: 1) the cream is in a jar, so you got to keep dipping your finger in. if i am paying premium for this product, i think it should come in better packaging 2) the texture is too thick. it leaves my skin feeling a bit oily and it takes awhile for the skin to absorb the cream 3) the price. 4) the blocked pores from time to time.
I can't say it is that different from any generic cheap moisturiser that i can buy off guardians or watsons, so, i will not be purchasing it again.
I have combination skin, and now that I am in my 30's the non T-Zone has gotten quite dry. This cream gave me a slight burning sensation when I applied it on my face. I usually like rose scented products but this scent irks me a lot. I have used half a jar and will not use it anymore, as the overall experience is just average.
I'd love to give this a more complete review, but this cream is so heavily fragranced that I couldn't bring myself to use it for more than two days. Really, the scent is so heavy handed that it triggered both headaches and topical irritation - my face went super pink and hot. I stopped before the inevitable irritation breakouts had a chance to get too bad, but yikes. What's the point of such a huge dose of fragrance in a face cream?!
If you're considering this cream, do yourself a favor and sample first.
My skin has tended towards the dry and irritated side of things since I moved to Canada a few years ago. I'm constantly trying out new moisturizers and looking for something soothing. The Wild Rose cream isn't cutting it. After using this, my skin is still dry and irritated, and I seem more prone to breakouts. But what I really hate about this is how heavily scented it is. I can smell the musky, slightly spicy rose scent for hours after applying this face cream, and it usually gives me a headache after a while. I can't stand it when face creams have such a strong and persistent fragrance to them. I'm also not a fan of the jar packaging. This definitely won't be a repurchase for me.
I love Korres generally, but had only ever tried their body care. I got this by accident in NYC as I had run out of my usual face cream and was out of stock everywhere. I so glad I tried this. Although I have combo skin, I have the normal to dry and it works beautifully on me. Absorbs well but keeps skin looking dewey without grease all day. Smells absolutely gorgeous as well. The price is already great and will last a long time as you don't need much. Love it
This is an odd one. I'd been using the formula for normal/dry skin and liked it overall. Then I switched to the oily/combo formula for the upcoming warmer season and soon had an eczema breakout on my face. Wasn't sure if the moisturizer was the cause of it at the time, so I let the eczema heal up before I started using it again, and lo and behold, another break out. If you have sensitive skin, it's best you steer clear from this.
Very average. My skin is usually very tolerant and this made me break out on my chin both of the periods of time used this.
I bought this for winter as my combination skin gets drier. At first my skin felt moisturised and even-toned but after 2-3 months of using it I feel my skin drier and tight. I think it also accentuated the fine lines on my forehead (after research I found that vitamin C in products can oxidise and result to creating wrinkles than keeping them at bay). I don't think I'll be buying this product again
I don't know why this stuff ever receives anything less than 4 or 5 lippies. It's perfect.
I waited for over a month to review. I've been using this product every day, morning and night, and I can absolutely attribute its use to the complete eradication of my periodic, mild acne breakouts. Then my boyfriend stole my travel-size and started using it. It got rid of his blackheads that he's complained about since the day I met him. So this stuff works for dry/combination as well as oily-man complexions.
Things I like:
-Texture is light, more on the liquid than cream side, and what I consider ideal.
-Smell is soft, but not overwhelming. You have to get within half a foot of someone's face before you can start to smell it immediately after use. Good deal.
-It doesn't stick on you face like a mask forever. You put it on, and the "I've got crap on my face" feeling goes away after no more than 5 minutes.
-My face doesn't feel tight after washing anymore. Slap this stuff on straight afterward and say goodbye to stinging or tightness, peeling or flaking.
Things I kind of don't like:
-It's not cheap.
Not that I care. I don't have chin-acne or cheek-acne or side-of-face-acne any more. That crap's freakin stubborn! My boyfriend and I and anyone else who will listen to me will be sticking with Korres and have good-smelling, clean, moisturized and not gunkified faces.
