I prefer european sunscreens for their higher ppd's, but after reading reviews of the finish of this product, I picked this up while I was travelling in asia last year. I bought the transparent finish product, and I believe they have product extensions.
there is a heavy fragrance upon first applying but eventually dissipates...so if you prefer fragrance-free, this is not the product for you. this is a very lightweight lotion, and I actually love the final finish of this. Dries down fairly matte-ish, but I always still use a dusting of powder on my combination skin.
i prefer to use these on days when I know I'm not going to be outside that long, or when I need a non-shiny sunscreen finish. I still reach first and foremost for my la roche posay creme fondante or veloute, but I like having this on hand.

I pick it up at Boots in Thailand. The price is dirt cheap, i believe it was retailed at TBH 249. This sunscreen has both Mexoryl & Tinosorb and is super matte. I have oily skin and struggle with the La Roche Posay fluid extreme - way too oily for me. I was a bit skeptical at first with L'oreal UV Perfect but it passed the oily test fairly well, sinked right into my skin. Mine is the the "even complexion" formula. It doesn't deliver that claim since the pigment was even lighter than a tinted moiturizer but I love that it doesn't leave a white cast. Hope it won't break me out like tons of other sunscreeens do. continued >>

This is my 3rd tube. I have been using this for a few years. I tried both the "even complexion" (beige) and the "anti dullness" (purple) versions. Since I'm living in the tropics, sunscreen is a must - after doing a lot of damage to my skin previously. This has spf 50+, PA+++ and against UVA/UVB. I would say I feel very "protected" with this on :)
The texture isn't watery, but it is liquid form. The beige version looks and feels like a tinted moisturizer. I was using this beneath my foundation I get the impression that it makes me looks a tad more yellow? And when I used it alone without foundation, it rubs off. I would see beige on the tissue paper when I blew my nose or cleaned my mouth :(
So I decided to switch to the anti dullness version. Its like purple in color and is supposed to brighten up my complexion. At least it doesnt rub off, or its not obvious. I use this as a base before my foundation, as it says on the packaging "moisturizing formula which can be used as a foundation base" (well something like that).
Yes i would definitely be purchasing this again. and there is no funny scent which is definitely a plus :)

Wish we could get these reviews all in one place. (-: This is an asian version of the UV perfect L'Oreal ss. It comes in three tints/versions. Even complexion, transparent and anti-dullness. It is an excellent higher ppd (+++) ss with both Mexoryls but no avobenzone or oxybenzone. It also contains Tinosorb and octinoxate. It contains anti-oxidants. It can be purchased online and ebay and is quite inexpensive for this type of ss. It is light, somewhat moisturizing and the tinted version wears like a TM. It is a bit dewy/shimmery but a little powder or mineral powder goes well over it. It is non-irritating and I can wear it all around the eyes. I also just saw this available on Amazon. Amazing stuff.

This sunscreen is available only on the Asian, AUS and NZ market. It is the reworked version of the previous UV Perfect with improved texture.
What I really like about this is that it contains the best UVA sunscreens available on the market, not only Mexoryl XL (Drometrizole Trisiloxane) and Mexoryl SX (Terephthalylidene Dicamphor Sulfonic Acid), but also Tinosorb S (Bis-Ethylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazine) and Titanium Dioxide and in this combination it delivers a long lasting, photo-stable protection. This makes it superior than most of many similar products including some high end sunscreens also featured from brands of the L’Oreal Groups.
Texture: I have the Anti Dullness version, a slightly greyish/purple tinted, but I had the impression that the Even Tone and Transparent had the same consistency. It has a fluid but not runny consistency and it is very light to spread. It is absorbed quickly and leaves a beautiful moisturized skin with a slightly glow. Regarding the anti dullness effect I don’t percept any change in my complexion but every time I look in the mirror during the day I have the impression that I look healthier and even toned, somehow. It is s a very good makeup base and I just need to blot few time after some hours but not so often as I expected. The biggest surprise is that my skin is surprisingly very good moisturized for the whole day, also around the eye contour and the best thing is that it gives that sort of “plumped” effect I only knew (and loved) from Eucerin Hyaluron Filler. I love it!!!
Maybe fore some young ladies living in the tropics and with combo/oily skin it will still be not light enough. But it is worth a try anyway for the price.

I am not sure if this is the same as the Ultimate Protection Fluid listed separately though I think many are reviewing it there. The name is a bit different. This is an asian version of that L'Oreal ss. It comes in three tints/versions. Even complexion, transparent and anti-dullness. It is an excellent higher ppd (+++) ss with both Mexoryls but no avobenzone or oxybenzone. It also contains Tinosorb and octinoxate.
