I got this for $80 CND since I was a hair design student so i had good deals. Does not dry just-got-out-of-the-shower wet hair but will dry close to drying damp hair. It also straightens really well with dry hair and I only have to go through the hair once. It can get really hot so be careful especially if you're using it to dry your hair. If your hair is too wet the steam and the water droplets are hot!!! I can't see myself needing to buy this again since I recently cut my hair to a short pixie and I never used to straighten hair every single day anyways. Now I only use this on friends who want me to do their hair so this would last me a very long time. However when my hair was still long I did use this as an alternative to blow drying or when i wake up with really bad bed head.
