It did nothing for my hair.
I tried the shampoo without conditioner a couple of times and my hair felt a lot better and looked shinier but obviously by the end of the day it became drier.

It's expensive so you want to convince yourself it's working. After trying Moroccanoil conditioner I realised that the Alterna conditioner was rubbish.

The only appealing thing is that it's free from sulfate and sodium chloride. Just like the shampoo it is definitely better than the cheaper shampoos/conditioners but not worth the price tag!

I finally gave in to buying this shampoo/conditioner. I will start off by saying I do not like the smell of this shampoo at all. Something about the smell makes me nauseous, it's gross. The conditoner on the other hand, smells a lot better & I can tolerate it. This has not dried my hair out so far, & this did leave my hair really smooth, with almost no frizz in sight. This did not eliminate 100% of the frizz, but it did make a lot of it less noticeable. This shampoo/conditioner is very expensive, especially for the amount you get. I have very thick, naturally curly hair....so I'll be done with this bottle in 3 weeks tops. Which, really doesn't justify the price of this. So overall, I'm not sure if I would buy this again. This did work well, but it wasn't anything amazing. Definitely not HG material. I still gave this a rating of 4 out of 5, because the product itself was pretty good. I just know I can find something that's just as good as this shampoo/conditioner, for way less that comes with a way higher amount of product. continued >>

I wonder how thick and dry the hair of the previous reviewers' is since this did absolutely NOTHING for mine. It simply doesn't moisturize and de-frizz my hair any better than a drugstore product even though it's 3x the price. It smells nice, and I like the twist-cap bottle, but the shampoo and conditioner themselves are overpriced and useless *for me*. If you have finer, thinner, normal hair this might be fine for you but it's definitely NOT for me.

Much like my review for the Alterna Bamboo shampoo, I did not like this product. I thought the conditioner did nothing special to my hair for the price, and I did not find the scent agreeable, either. I would not buy this again. I prefer the Ojon sulfate-free conditioner for color-treated hair over this one. It makes my hair look nice and smells divine!

This is a very lightweight conditioner. It lives up to its promises, and does smooth the hair, but does not add much moisture. Very pleasant and light clean scent.

And no bad ingredients. :)

I was very disappointed with this conditioner. It smells great but that's about it. I have fine hair and needed to use a ton of it to condition my hair and even if I try to rinse really well it still leaves my hair coated and oily but frizzy in the same time. If I use less makes my hair very hard to comb through. The bottle lasted about 5 washes. I gave it 2 stars for the scent.

I have told of the shampoo, now let me tell of the conditioner. It is an anti frizz conditioner that smells wonderful and is made without parabens, gluten, sodium chloride, phthalates, synthetic color, mineral oil, petrolatum, & paba. How grand for me!
This has bamboo extract in it along with kendi oil. I used it and thought of all the times I had tried something new and found out quickly how drying these kinds of conditioners can really be, it did not dry me out! WOOOHOOO!
This gave me slip without that oily feeling, a smell that was just amazing and I believe I have had added body with this, IMHO. I did not have to use 3/4 of the bottle either for my long hair (that is down to my bum). A little goes a long way with this one, truly.
I have had lots of shine with this. It does smooth my hair, makes it smell so good. I've had compliments on the shine and the feel of my hair.
This says that it will help make my hair stronger and break less, well we will see. I braid my hair a lot and that tends to make my hair break and poof out, especially since I ride.
During the winter I go out into the cold, rainy, snowy, icy, and then into dry warm air, that can fizz the best of us and I do not like to use any extra products in my hair. So far this has done it's job for me.
I appreciate how soft this has made my hair and they way it looks. Match with the shampoo it has been a great pair for me.
The smell I keep writing of is a smell of spring, clean and flowery. It is a bit strong and some who are sensitive to smell may not be happy with this, I am ok with it. the smell will last even in a room of smokers, which I like. It does not clash with my perfume of choice.
The bottle is well made and is not a flip or push up top which is good for me since I drop everything in the shower. It is hard to get the product out at first, but then it becomes easier.
It is a bit pricy at $20 for 8.5 OZ for the conditioner. It is $20 for the shampoo too. Since I have not had a reaction to this conditioner I will keep buying it for the hair I am getting. I have psoriasis and I get really itchy and claw at myself when things do not work, this has not made me claw at myself.
If you enjoy a good smell in your hair, and don't mind the expense, by all means give this a try and see.
I am going to try the dry oil for hair that is part of this set. I hope it is not grease inducing and helps provide even better results! I who does not use extra product......................what a feat for me, stepping out of my box, LOL! continued >>
