Got this at Sally's after I chopped off my hair to a pretty short length. It has a thin one inch plate that makes it very easy to use with short hair. I also like that they plates floats so that when you turn and flip the iron, the plates follow the way the hair bends which really maximizes contact. It does get pretty hot although I put in into a med/high setting. Those that have heat sensitive hands might want to be careful not to touch the ends of the iron too much but its fine for me. Only thing I don't like is that it does pull out like one or two hairs when I try to get into a huge rush of doing my hair. My Sedu had a better seal on the plate ends and that never happens but its still not too bad. Also, I feel that its more damaging that my Sedu as well, which is wider so I really bought this as a temporary tool until my hair grows back out but am surprised that its quite decent quality and at a low price.

I recently got blunt bangs type of haircut, and my regular 1inch Chi is not small enough to straighten my front bangs. I went to sally's and bought this flat iron, its about 5/8 of an inch. perfect for my bangs. The flat iron does get really really hot at the plates, so I only plug it in for 5 minutes, unplug it, and then use it. This straightens my bangs and doesnt burn me. I am on the fence to return it or not since it gets the job done, but find it unsafe.
