Best lipstick I have ever used...period! Perfect neutral color for me, doesn't feather or bleed, highly pigmented and non-drying. Who could possibly ask for more? HG for sure!

Definitely one of my favorite colors I could wear every day! I am very fair and have dark hair, so this is a color that looks natural without being boring or having you looking "washed out", what a lot of nude lip sticks tend to do. I love it!

Kat Von D Painted Love lipstick in CATHEDRAL is a MLBB nude; Freshly applied on me it leans towards a warm brown based nude, but after it has 'settled' it seems to have a slight hint of pink. It’s a very wearable shade that goes with most makeup combinations, so it permanently lives in my handbag. I think that this is a 'suits everyone' shade.

The finish to this shade is a creamy satin, which was a pleasant surprise as most of the the other Kat Von D Painted Love lipstick shades I have are staining matt finishes. I have dry lips, but have not yet experienced any flaking or chafing after I’ve been wearing this and the lasting power is very good. I also love the eye-catching black case with the sliver rose design and the clear base to the tube - it makes finding the right shade in my makeup bag easy.

The only reason that I've selected not to buy this again is because the colour reminds me strongly of the 'Lolita' Kat Von D Painted Love lipstick shade, which I already owned. If the warm brown tones wore for longer this would be a five lippie must-own for me.

Like the previous reviewer, I have deeply violet pigmented lips, and I like how this nude shade with a hint of pink is opaque enough to cover the pigmentation. It's a lovely everyday color, but it is a bit drying if I don't put balm over/ under it. I haven't noticed a scent or taste.

My first HG since joining MAU in 2007! This is the color I have been searching for all my life. I have odd coloring. Hyperpigmented violet lips with transparent-ish cool yellow complexion that is pale (MAC 15). I wanted MLBB that was full coverage (or my real lip color bleeds through), stayed put, and didn't bleed. Cathedral lasted well - it looked like I had just applied it two hours after I actually had done so. I did blot and apply powder - that must have helped. But it was PERFECT after two hours - lipsticks don't last long on me or they fade. No taste. Faint chemical odor when holding the tube of lipstick up to my nose but not detectable once applied to the lips. It does have yellow in it but not alot, IMHO. I say that because I cannot wear most blushes and lipsticks intended for yellow toned women because they look too orange/yellow on me. This one has enough pink and brown to make me HAPPY! I just loved having the appearance of naturally perfect lips for the evening! I like the fact that the bottom of the case is transparent and I can see the color inside without actually opening it. According to Sephora's website, Cathedral is "spiced pinkish brown".

I got this lipstick as a sample and I was so excited, since this would be my first skintoned lipstick. I absolutely hated everything about the product, except for the packaging(: It was dry and it had a dull and chemical-ish scent. I usually never have reactions to products but for this lipstick, it gave me breakouts all around my lips. Never again will I put my lips into this kind of torture ever again.

I received a sampler of Kat Von D lipsticks for Christmas and this color was in the group. I already had one of her lipsticks but this one really struck my fancy so I went out and got the real, live version and I love it. The color is perfect for me and perfect for everyday - work and running around. With a little gloss it just makes my lips look more defined and finished. I like the consistency of her lipsticks almost better than MAC's. There was even a red in the sample set I thought looked good on me. Worth a try.

My new HG neutral lip color! This is a great, warm pinkish brown that is good for every day use, which can be dressed up or down with your favorite gloss. It is like a warmer and slightly more brownish version of the Lolita shade. I don't even usually like pinkish shades but this still works well with my warm undertone. My only criticism is that it is drying as other people say, but it isn't enough of a deterrence for me to stop wearing it. It's nothing that lip balm and lip gloss can't cure. Definitely give it a try.

I really like this shade a lot. Its a very nice medium brown shade. It's very versatile and can be worn with a neutral day look as well as a dramatic night look. The quality of the Kat Von D line of lipsticks is amazing. The staying power is better than most high-end lipsticks that I have tried. It doesn't have a horrible smell or taste to it. This line has quite a few nice shades to choose from. I'm glad I got the chance to try this.

It's nice. That's the most exciting thing I can say about it. It's a lovely pinky toasty brown color. It's not unlike all the other pinky toasty brown colors I have. It's drying, I found it applies and feels much better with lip balm underneath. Has decent staying power. Eh, that's about it. It's fine for work, fine for day use, fine in a boring safe nice way. If you love her lipsticks and need a day/work color, this will probably work well for you. If you already have your usual day/work color, skip this one.
