- Long lasting
- Nice shade (but I don't think it's a dupe of ORGASM.)
- Dusty blush!
- Too much gold shimmer.
I bought this because a mega makeup artist on YouTube said it was the perfect dupe for Nars Orgasm. The color is rose gold with peach tones; the packaging is small which is great and compact for your purse. The color is beautiful and a little goes a long way. It is a perfect color for any skin tone. I highly recommended this product!!!
First of all, you get a nice amount of product in the pan, which is quite nice. The colour is a pinky coral with gold shimmer, which is done well and does not make you look like a disco ball. I love using this on top of a peach coloured cream blush, to add a touch of peachiness and to boost staying power. It is very pigmented, but I don't have a problem with getting clown cheeks. I think some people like to get a little blush happy! I always make sure to apply blusher with a light hand. Staying power is good for a blush and fades only slightly by the end of a long day. It is just a really pretty shade and love that beautiful golden sheen when in the sun! I got this because I saw it and fell in love with the shade, I've never seen or been too interested in NARS orgasm.
I got this in a last minute dash for make up after ALL my makeup (bar my daily few pieces in my travel make up bag) got accidentally thrown out with the box I'd put them in to clean out my vanity.
I'd heard good things about Sleek and with not much money to buy higher end labels, their low priced yet quality items appealed to me. I chose Rose Gold as it was the only blush on the Sleek stand of my local Superdrug. Everything else was sold out and there weren't even testers to try out.
I'm a MAC NW30 in summer and get paler in winter, though I don't wear that much foundation or full face make up; I normally wear just black surma kohl on the days I can be bothered. The blush was picked out so I could wear it with my Skin79 Pink label BB cream and my MAC Expensive Pink eyeshadow along with Sleek's Face Form contouring kit in medium. (Which I have to put on with a very light hand as it's rather dark on me.)
The blush beautifully complements my Expensive Pink eyeshadow. On me, it is less coral and more gold, acting as a golden shimmery highlighter over a faint hint of blush. The blush is insanely pigmented so I apply it with a very light hand. I don't bother with my Sleek contouring kit's blusher or highlighter as Rose Gold acts as both in one go. As I have no time to faff about when it comes to putting on my make up, I love how this blush is like a two in one product for me. I don't know if it's my blusher but the packaging is a bit hard to open on my one, hence the removal of one lippy for packaging. I LOVE the mirror with it!
On my skin, the product lasted over seven hours, the colour faded first and the gold remained. I've no idea if that's normal but that is what happens when I wear it. First time I put it on, I went rather heavy handed with it as I thought it would be less pigmented than it is. Only I wound up with brightly golden cheeks and scared my toddler aged cousins for it. (Yes, I did wind up putting THAT much on.)
I would consider a different blush colour from Sleek but I am content with Rose Gold at the moment. It will last a long time and as I'm not someone who shares my make up with anyone - ever - it might well last me years. Which might not be a good thing as I have no idea if blushes have a use by date. The product amount is fantastic and the pigmentation, colour and price are all good draws for the product.
Great blush, super pigmented and good value for the price.
I think that most people who have brought this, brought it because it is ment to be an excellent dupe for NARS 'orgasm'. and if you are reading this you probably are considering buying the blush because of this statement. In short I personally think that sleek bushes are the best budget blushes out there. I love my NARS 'orgasm' blush however when i heard about this dupe I instantly went our and brought this blush, I have grown to love it, and dare i say it.... prefer it to orgasm. It's much more pigmented, the packaging is better and the colour is gourge! I think it would work on all skin types and it could easily be passed off and NARS' orgasm.
AMAZING colour. I originally bought this product because it's supposedly a great dupe for NARS Orgasm. But I've grown to like the Sleek blush more than NARS because the hint of gold is slightly more apparent in it. It looks stunning on the skin- I feel like it is a colour that will suit all skin tones. I wear it over a thin layer of illuminator/highlighter and always get compliments. It has a beautiful shimmer that is not tacky or cheap, and the rose tinge of colour you get is amazing. My only concern is I wish it had a slightly longer staying power. I will certainly repurchase.
I got this shade in my Face Form kit in Fair. I have always had a hard time finding shimmery blushes that looked good (I am Linen shade in foundation, maybe half a shade paler) but this one is great! It gives me a healthy look without being gaudy. I will definitely buy again when I run out.
i like this product its highly pigmented and very cheap also easy to apply however i find its too shimmery to wear as a blush on my skin so i tend to use it as a highligter only when im going all out with my makeup however its cheap and cheerful so i would repurchase again as it would probably last me a very long time
I have very pale skin and so finding blushes that flatter and do not look clownish is a rarity. I also have rosacea contrasting my yellow undertones so with my day time light-medium foundation coverage i usually don't add a blush, except for a sheer pink now and again, but when i wear medium+ coverage for evenings i need a blush to stop me looking plain. This blush looks gorgeous with my skin and is perfect for the evening as it has a gold sparkle running through it that is highlighted in photos and makes me (lazy when it comes to anything but the eyes) love it enough to make the effort to apply it. The pigment that is most visible to the naked eye is the rosy pink which works brilliantly with my pale skin. I do on occasion use this in the day but just use less than i would in the evening as this is very pigmented.
For daytime i swipe the blush compact with a soft medium sized brush and sweep it once or twice on a cheek, picking up more product and repeating for the other cheek. For evening i swipe the blush then sweep it on a cheek three times, picking up more product and repeating for the other cheek.
As a comparison to Nars Orgasm (have not personally owned but have seen comparisons) the only difference is this blush has more gold in it and is more pigmented. I have seen people complain that this (and the Nars blush) highlights pores but i have very large pores and have never seen this happen, however i would never apply a non-sheer, non-natural blush on the inner cheek next to the nose or on the nose where large pores are found, where as i would add a sheer, natural blush in pored areas for a natural flush.
I have tried this blush on my medium/ tan skinned friend and in contrast she found this blush looked completely uneventful - giving a tired effect by being too light with sheer application and just not particularly flattering/ interesting even when built up. On dark skin tones this would probably make a divine gold based highlighter when applied high on cheekbones for evening and photo's, especially for those with amber/ red undertones. Other reviewers with dark skin on this site have said this colour works well as a blush and i agree it would (as a striking peachy pink effect) given its great pigmentation, it just doesn't seem to look as special on skin tones found in the middle of the spectrum in my opinion.
