I hate to give this review considering that I really loved the way this stuff made my face brighten up but dang it broke me out like crazy and I don't break out very easily. I really wanted to love this but can't deal with acne like that. I was even hoping that this wasn't the culprit so stopped using it for 24 hours and sure enough my face started clearing up. Oh well, guess I will have to find something else

I'm really disappointed in this. I like the original Regenerist serum but this promises more for my age and concerns. However despite the fact that I do not have sensitive skin this brings me out in cystic lumps. I have trial run it 3 times and each time the same result. I wonder if it is the strong scent, though I have used the fragranced version of the original with no problems. I saw a review on Beautypedia for an unfragranced version of this but haven't seen it in the UK yet. I'd be wary even if I did as the lumps took at least 2 weeks to disappear and were hard to conceal!

After 2 rounds of this serum, I have decided I jumped the gun with such a glowing review, so I've re-written it. At first it did in fact seem fantastic, but after a while it started to make my skin dull. The "results" I was seeing were not an improvement in my skin, they were the serum itself optically blurring fine lines (which would be ok if this was a primer...and using solely as a primer just isn't an option with this product). Another downer is the fact that Olay has formulated this to go with the corresponding cream, which is totally understandable, but I've found the cream not to be a good suit for my skin needs. This serum does NOT cooperate well with other serums and moisturizers. It balls up, and leaves a chalky residue if used with anything other than the Olay Micro-sculpting cream. It does leave the skin soft and smooth, but the effect doesn't last but a few minutes and the serum doesn't "sink into" the skin, rather it just sort of coats it. The packaging is very good and I found the scent strong, albeit pleasant..however that's not enough to keep me buying it! I've decided I will not repurchase, and have begun using some PTR products that I'm loving! Reviews on those coming soon :)

I'm a huge fan of the Regenerist line, and this was my introductory product. I'm on my third bottle and will repurchase it time and time again. I layer it under my moisturizer at night (currently the coordinating microsculpting cream which also rocks) and wake up with smooth, plump, even-toned skin. I also mix a bit in with my spf moisturizer in the morning if my skin is dry or blah after a night of drinking/lack of sleep, whatever.

The hylauronic acid is the superstar here I think - it really helps your skin retain moisture and fills up fine lines. I'm a member of a few subscription services and I'm a total product junkie so I have tried all sorts of serums and creams and nothing works for me like this stuff. There is a noticeable difference in my skin when I use this, both immediately and long term.

If you're one of the few that has an unfortunate reaction to the niacin it will not work for you, but I recommend it highly to everyone else.

I had the one with fragrance. It was TOO heavy smelling to my liking. I dont feel like wearing it to bed. However, the fragrance free one would be so much nicer. Being a serum, it is too thick. It is like a thick gel and stick on your skin like an ointment. For the reasons mentioned above, I do not think I will repurchase. Because there is no WOW factor in it too.

I was surprised at the reviews that didnt like this but this is my first product that I have tried the serum. I thought it was really good. It didnt break out my skin and made my face soft and dewy looking. I had no sparkles or glitter on my face from this and didnt make my face oily under my makeup. So far good results! I have been using this since December so about 3 months.

This review is for the FRAGRANCE FREE version!! I was excited that Olay came out with the fragrance free version of this serum since I thought this may be a good substitute for the "ESTEE LAUDER" Advance Night repair serum. This serum has many good reviews & the price is a lot better for my wallet. However, this serum is NO comparison to the advance night repair serum.

Note: This serum is the ONLY new item I added into my skin care regimen. Everything else I'm using have been the same products, so I'm sure what my skin is experiencing is due to this serum.

Texture: It's somewhat thick & very STICKY with a shimmery glitter appearance. I think it's from the light reflecting pigments that were added to the serum. It doesn't absorb into my skin at all & sits on my face, forming a sticky film. It forms clusters of tiny particles if you rub on the stick film by accident.

Effects: I'm a realistic person & don't expect the 5-day perfect skin miracle as stated on the Olay serum package!! This is what the box says:

-Younger-looking skin without drastic measures
-Instantly, skin is hydrated
-After just 5 days, skin is firmer
-Skin looks brighter, more radiant

This only thing I expect is more "hydrated" skin after 5 days because I'm using Tazorac to control my acne & it dries out my skin. Unfortunately this serum does NOT even moisturize my skin at all, but it makes my skin very ITCHY with tiny red bumps for the first 2 days of use. Then I begin to notice tiny white non-inflammatory acne forming underneath my skin that is still very ITCHY.

My conclusion about this serum is to be careful if you have extremely sensitive skin. I'm still recovering from the "damages" caused by this serum. I'm glad I've never tried the "Fragrance" version since it might contain even more irritating ingredients. I'm going back the the Advance night repair serum.

I will start by saying I do not have sensitive skin and can pretty much buy any cream out there with no issues. The regenerist products are horrible for me and have caused a rash with bumps all over my face!! I am so worried because i was using it for 2 months and this rash would come and go (now it is the worst it has been) and I never thought it was the Olay. I have always used Olay and have never had skin issues so why would the regenerist products do this? Well I feel like a dope for not discontinuing use sooner, but it has been 4 days and the rash is still there. I hope it goes away soon! in reading other reviews on these products it looks like I am not alone with this red, bumpy, sometimes itchy rash!! :( Really upset about it and will never use Olay products again.

Iv bought this several times now but iv always bought it in a gift pack (more cost effective) I don't think it's done any "lifting" but its a nice serum overall and doesn't break me out

I have super oily skin that's fairly sensitive and does not usually like silicones. Based on reviews, I got this serum and the Olay Regenerist Daily serum (frosted plastic bottle). After using both for about 3 months each, I can safely say that neither of them do anything to improve the general condition of my skin. My skin produced the same shocking amount of oil, I got acne at the same right, my pores looked the same (perhaps slightly worse with the Daily serum, but definitely the same with the micro-sculpting serum). As someone who's fairly new to skincare stuff, I thought these were fairly expensive bottles of things that don't do much. If you're stuck between these two and absolutely think that it will work for your skin type, I would recommend this one. As others have noted, it's very sheerly tinted and has some slight luminescence to it. It also feels a little thinner and less silicone-y than the Daily serum. If you're just looking around for a serum with some quality ingredients though, I'd suggest looking around at reputable sellers online. I picked up a random hyaluronic acid serum from eBay for less than this that ended up killing my oil production and giving me normal skin for the first time in my life - my notebook has more details about my overall skin condition and skincare routine if you're interested.
