Sheer silky texture and a natural finish. The Clinique girl informed me that this lipstick has been discontinued in every colour except black honey, a testament to the enduring power of this time-honoured shade. It is very wearable. Don't be put off by the deep hue in the tube. It would add that it is surprisingly pink on the lip. I expected something a little more brown.

Clinique almost lipstick (black honey) is a good choice for those who are looking for a moderate and elegant look. It has a very adoptable color for everyone, but I would recommend it for women with dark hair and darker skin tone. I have dark brown hair, medium skin and geen eyes, and it fits perfectly. I would not call it lipstick but rather colored LIPBALM, because of its texture: it does not last long at all but has a beautiful tone, which emhasises your natural lip color. I would definetly buy it again, but also would very much like to have a long-lasting lipstick with the same mechanism (became darker and darker as you use more and more layers, BUT still gives a natural look), and the same color.

Gorgeous shade (black honey) - not as dark as it looks in the tube; enhances the colour of your lips, so you can create a natural looking tone, or keep applying for a rich look. There's definitely no need to buy a lipstick with more pigment when you can control the amount of coverage you want with this lipstick. I am a lipstick junkie and, as an expert at lipstick shades and brands at this stage, I can absolutely say that this brand and shade is one of the best I have come across. It looks great for work with not much other make-up on and makes you look groomed within 2 minutes of application! Very moisturising also, I don't need a lip balm underneath. It also gives a gorgeous sheen without the stickiness of a gloss. Buy it!!

Do not be scared by the dark, dark color of the Black Honey. Like the name says, it's almost lipstick. It is very sheer. The color is very pretty - red but very natural looking. It's a great everyday lipstick. The thin tube is easy to apply, almost like a gloss. You don't need to look in the mirror to apply this! My only complaint is that it seems to be a little drying. But I love it!

I have always had serious trouble finding a lipstick to match my skin tone and look natural, as I am quite baby faced, and most lipsticks make me look far too over done. In general, I favour a natural, polished look. This lipstick is a staple of mine now, having just purchased it a few weeks ago in Black Honey. I used to apply light foundation, and thinly line the top and bottom lashes, and then add some lip gloss. This look worked fine for the weekend, but when I started working, I needed a stronger lip colour to make me look more groomed. After a tireless search, I read about this lipstick in a magazine and decided to give it a go. I'm so glad I did. The colour is not too strong, more like an enhancement of my natural lip colour. It isn't overly pigmented, but can be applied numerous times in order to achieve a darker colour. The texture is moisturising and soft, without being too heavy or sticky. Although it is not a long lasting lipstick because of its sheer nature, the fact that it can be reapplied without a mirror, because of the subtleness of the colour, is perfect for being on the run. Not only do I use it for work, I find myself applying it on the weekends too, because it is so versatile, it can compliment the most casual outfits and make up to the most formal. It is honestly the most perfect lipstick I could hope for. Am extremely impressed and am convinced I will be buying this for the rest of my life.

I have this in Almost blush and its good/ok. looks like my lips but is a bit browner. looks better on my bestfriend who has pretty pale olive skin. I like this in the winter when I don't have color, but for spring/summer I really like bamboo pink.

I, too, wore this in college -- Bronze Lilac was my shade of choice. I remember liking the color & look quite a bit but, alas, having to reapply constantly. I also (like every other woman on earth) had a tube of Black Honey that I ended up giving away because it turned my lips a really unattractive rust color. It just did nothing for me. continued >>

This in Black Honey is my HG lip product. I love everything about it. The colour is perfect, the texture is balmy yet still has a nice sheen, and the tube is so pretty. This is the item i will buy and buy again and again.

I love the Almost Lipsticks because of the light consistency and easy of application. The slim silhouette means that you can apply this without a mirror, which is great when you're on the run. I also like the soft and glossy [but not too glossy] colors].

I wish I'd tried this a long time ago. I'm not fond of matte full-coverage lipsticks because I think they are usually aging, dry, and harsh. But, I also don't like sticky too-shiney gloss. I usually turn traditional lipsticks into this sort of product by wearing lots of clear balm underneath to make it more transparent, soft and moist. Almost Lipstick accomplishes all this in one simple tube. I love that it's non-sticky, slightly shiney, non-glittery, and very soothing. The color "Almost Blush" is beautiful. It's a rosey YLBB color with enough vibrancy to light up your face and just enough brown to make it natural. I also tried the famous "Black Honey", but it was a bit too dark for my light complexion (brown hair and eyes) - and gave me a more severe look. But I imagine that for darker complexions or fuller lips, it would be beautiful. "Almost Blush" was my second, more successful experiment. I think this is going to be my Holy Grail since it does everything I'm looking for in the right color.

I received BLACK HONEY in a swap - oh wow, can I just say, this is the best type of lip coverage if you're not into full on, creamy lipstick or teeny-bopper gloss!! The Black Honey is a nice darker berry stain, but not overpowering at all - it really makes your lips look healthy and naturally reddish-pinkish. I'm brunette, brown eyes and don't wear lipstick, per say - don't like my lips being smothered and caked and I like a more natural makeup look - so I'm going to continue to use this until they stop making it!

I like the slim tubes and sheer, creamy colors. It's a great cross between lipstick and gloss, but i took off a lippie cuz i'm way more in love with MAC lipglass (but i'm biased, i guess, since i'm a MAC girl). Great product, however - i only wish they'd come out with even more colors.

I bought this in Sheer Blackberry, and it ended up being much less sheer than I expected. It looks too bright with my fair skin and medium brown hair. I considered trying this in another color, but I prefer the texture of Different Lipstick, which seems just as sheer as this but feels less waxy.

Clinque's Almost Lipstick in Almost Mocha is the product which launched me into the world of makeup when I was just a teen in the mid-nineties.
This is a nice, sheer color that I like to wear on weekends when I don't feel like breaking out the whole toolbox of beauty products, but would still like to have a bit of color.
The Almost Lipstick comes in a great variety of colors to suit just about any preference and is the perfect medium between lip gloss and lip stick. Check it out!

Love love love this lipstick. The name is perfect: ALMOST lipstick. It's definitely way too sheer as a lipstick, but not that glossy as all as a l/g. I have tried this in Ruby Melt, Black Honey & Almost Blush. Love them all! I'm an AAB-MMM, Ruby Melt turns out to be a very sheer red color on my lips, Black Honey is a darker/deeper red color & Almost Blush is a real nice neutral lip color (MLBB). Doesn't last long at all but I don't mind. Haven't found lipstick that last long for me anyway. Too bad doesn't have SPF 15 in it (that's why 1 lippies out :oP). For next purchase, I'd like to try Sheer Blackberry & Almost Cocoa! Definitely will repurchase again & again & again .. (the price is $13.50 - which is quite fair for this marvelous item). continued >>

I have this product in "Black Honey" and am very pleased with it. The colour is gorgeous, and the texture is perfect for me - not as goopy and sticky as a gloss, but not as thick and fussy as a lipstick. It's sheer, but you still see pigmentation. I find that it took me a while to finish my tube, and I'm definately going to purchase another one. It's one of the few lipcolors I actually finished! Wonderful stuff!

I LOVE this stuff!!!!!!!! It is so great because I do not want a heavy thick lipcolor. I have almost blush, bronze lilac, and black honey. Black Honey is my absolute favorite.

Love, love, love this item. I'm a very picky person when it comes to what I put on my lips. I generally love Clinique lipstick/gloss cause they dont leave a bad taste or smell like some cheap drugstore ones. Not that there's anything wrong with drugstores products, but their lipstick usually makes me feel like I'm swallowing all the chemicals everytime I wet my lips. This "almost lipstick" is pretty much what it's called. It looks like a lipstick, but not yet. It's between a gloss and lipstick. Great if dont wanna look too much but still have to have some color on your lips. It also leaves your lips moisturized. Will definitely purchase again.
