So i bought this in agatha for no particular reason... just wanted to try it out and might i say i love the texture and the color is great on me!! I'm really happy with how this turned out and the packaging: OMG SO CUTE!!! i have spent many years trying to perfect the "nude lip" but my lips are naturally pretty red/dark pink so it's very hard for me to accomplish this look without using pounds of concealer (=cakey lips) This has really good coverage and with a touch of matching gloss looks beautiful. It was a bit high on the price range and there doesn't seem to be a lot of lipstick in the tube but i'd buy it again solely because of how amazing this product is.

I am a fan of Kat Von D, and absolutely love her eye palettes. So when I found the lipsticks I was intrigued. The packaging is beautiful, but I cannot fall in love with this lipstick. My color is a dark, red cool toned lipstick and its so dry I have to make sure I wear lip balm over it. Plus the smell is just weird. Im not sure how to describe it. I will say though, the color pay off is excellent and it lasts a really long time! I would not buy again generally because I think there are better drugstore lipsticks and how drying it is.

Kat Von D's personal style is not even remotely close to mine, so I never expected to find something that I would love in her line. I happened past her display of lipsticks at Sephora, and found the colors quite intriguing. I was especially struck by the shade "Lovecraft". It is a beautiful shade of muted berry. Sephora calls it "berry-beige", and that description is spot-on. The hint of beige makes it a perfect "jeans and t-shirt" low-key lipstick. As a woman with fair, cool skin, nude lipsticks are a no-go. This lipstick is my version of "nude", and I suggest it for those like me who like the idea of "nude", but have trouble executing it. At first glance, it may seem like there are a million lipsticks like it, but, I'm telling you, it is quite unique. But, enough about the gorgeous color. It is a fantastic creamy formula with somewhere between a satin and matte finish. It wears a fairly good amount of time (4-5) hours. I plan to buy several back up tubes to stash strategically about.

Love this lipstick! Goes on great and stays on well. It's a little dry, but that's a small price to pay for lipstick that actually lasts!

I have this in the color Lovecraft. I went to sephora and tried this lipstick on and liked the color. Its a nice pinky nude matte type color which is what i wanted. However, the staying power sucked. I tried to use it with a lipliner and it still did not last that long. Also, i tried to use this when my lips were dry and it showed, so its better to have lips a little bit moisturized. On a side not, i like the packaging, its cute. Bigger than mac lipsticks, but not a problem. Would not buy again, but i am open to trying a different shade.

I got Underage Red and Celebutard.
They are GREAT MATTE lipsticks, it stays true to it's colour, and it lasts for a long deal.
It is a bit drying, but a little layer of chapstick under will fix that problem.
The packaging is also very cute and unique.
They are perfect, trust me, matte, very pigmented and long lasting, you won't regret buying any of painted love lipsticks.

Purchased this lipstick in ritual. Decent color, but the smell and taste are awful (like rancid fat). I can't wear this product because of this. Would not repurchase

I am writing this review for Backstage Bambi, This is a bright pink, matte lipstick. I apply carmex under because it is a dry lipstick. I love this color it is very retro and the perfect bright pink. I am on my third tube of it! This lipstick has fantastic payoff and stays put like no other, literally I have gotten 10 hours of wear out of this stuff, through eating clubbing etc...I have other Kat von D lipsticks as well, all of which are equally as great. The reds are some of the best reds on the market, hands down, ultra matte, retro 50's reds love that!

I have Prayer, and its a great color. Matte and a bit stiff, but it wears really well and is not greasy at all. Will be purchasing again, this is a great, solid lipstick that will last on your mouth!

These are my HG lipsticks!!! No matter what shade, the consistency is just PERFECT!!! I am not a lipstick person in general, because they usually fade pretty quick after lunch, so I usually stick to lipliners. Now that I found the whole universe of painted love in a lipstick bottle...I'm never going back to my shabby lipliners (although I tried anything from low-end to expensive) any soon.VERY happy with all the shades and the bright variety they offer. To some people they seem a bit drying, but if you put a lip base underneath, you can eliminate this as well as make the lipstick stay put all day too. Problem solved!

I'm having so much fun with these. I never finish a regular size lipstick, so getting a lot of small ones works perfect for me. I get to try shades I would never buy a full size of, like the bright red or deeper colors, and I'm finding they look good on my pale skin, with just foundation and black eyeliner and mascara. The color choices may not work for everybody, but they are all creamy and pretty. Good staying power, apply smoothly as long as I exfoliate my lips first (and I learned not to buy that expensive sugar lip exfoliator, white toothpaste and a soft toothbrush works just as well and is super cheap). I'm thinking of buying another one and just putting it away. The only thing I don't like is the packaging, which other people seem to love. The case on the lipstick is fine, it's typical Kat Von D gothic nonsense, but I hate the cardboard book, it's such a waste of paper and packaging. As soon as I got home the lipsticks went into my lipstick drawer and the cardboard book into the recycling bin.

I love, love, love this lipstick! I have two shades so far: "Hellbent" and "Rosary" and they're just great. Not only are the colors bold and beautiful, just like I like 'em, but they stay on. Even after eating, I was amazed at the staying power of this lipstick. Of course after eating, you would need to touch up, as with any lipstick but the Painted Love lipsticks last longer than any others I have. As far as colors, "Hellbent" is exactly as described, blood red. It is the perfect red lipstick for me. That one is my favorite and I wear it quite a lot. "Rosary" is a dark burgundy, which is also very bold and pretty.

This lipsticks are very, very small but the colors are very pretty. They are definitely all very wearable for the right occasion. The price is okay, for 28 I would have loved a bigger size but it will just have to do. It seems like the lipsticks are very matte and not shimmery at all. And they do last awhile. Very pigmented too! I would definitely buy this again, and will probably end up buying the lipsticks in larger sizes.

The Kat Von D Painted Love lipstick line is great in terms of pigment, staying power, and texture. It goes on smooth and lasts. As far as I know, and based on all the colors I have tried, all the colors in this line are matte and are very pigmented (nothing sheer about these).
I have tried Adora, Coral Castle, Agatha, Celebutard, Lovecraft, and Lolita. I really like Adora (and the packaging is really cute) because it's unique and metallic yet not shimmery. Coral Castle is really nice and kinda peachy instead of orange, it looks really nice with a sheer gloss over it. I'm NC30 and Agatha and Celebutard were too light for me. Lovecraft and Lolita looked ok, but they turned out a lot darker and more brownish on me than I expected. All the shades look great with gloss over it as well.
