Age: 36-43 Skin: Dry, Fair-Medium, Not Sure Hair: Blond, Wavy, Fine Eyes: Grey

I have naturally blonde, curly/wavy thin hair. My hair gets very light in the sun so in the fall or winter when I can't stand my naturally darker blonde roots showing up I always break down and color my hair. I do color it to match my roots. I only do this about twice a year but that's enough to do major damage. I also was straightening my hair a couple days a week. A couple of years ago I noticed clumps of hair falling off, some was just breakage but most was straight from my scalp and I had thin and bald spots!! My curls were frizzy and out of control and I could barely get a comb through them.
I was searching for anything that might help and came across the Aphogee Keratin 2 Minute Reconstructor. I washed my hair and toweled dried it then massaged the product through my hair and into my scalp. I put on a shower cap and spent 2 minutes blowing the hair drier on my head. When I was rinsing my hair I could feel the softness. My hair when wet, even when normal conditioning is rough and tangled. Now it was soft and I could run my fingers through it. I wrapped my hair up in a towel and went to the mirror. Normally my hair looks like a troll doll when I pull the towel off. This time it hung down in nice curls. I was able to get a comb through with no tangles!! When my hair dried it was soft and curly and no frizzy bits everywhere. I was thrilled!!
Often I leave the conditioner on overnight or for an hour. My hair always looks great afterwards. It wasn't long before I noticed that I no longer was shedding.
Fast forward a year and my thin and bald spots are filled in, my hair is long and curly and soft. Whenever I notice dryness, the frizzies or have a hard time combing I get out the Aphogee.
I also use this on my son's curly thick hair. His hair is naturally coarse and this softens it wonderfully. Sometimes on both of us I leave a little in without rinsing and let hair dry naturally. It is not greasy at all.

I'm A.A. and I bought this when I decided to go from natural to texturized (mild, diluted relaxer). You're supposed to leave it on for 2 minutes and I left it on for 7. Big mistake. My hair felt super dry. Even though I deep conditioned afterwards my hair still felt brittle..for weeks. I got and inch cut off because it felt so bad. I tried it again at a later date and just combed it through for a minute and let it sit for a minute-no plastic cap. Then I do a 5-15min moisturizing masque. PERFECT. This stuff is great after a clarifying shampoo, followed by a non protein moisturizer. You MUST follow the directions though and if you leave it on longer than 2 mins, you're asking for trouble.

Wow! Strength, softness and shine in one.. People, this is the best thing since slice bread. My hair wasn't in the best condition, and I found out that this is actually available here in Jamaica. Had to get it! This made my hair strong, so soft, so bouncy..words just can't explain. Smells like a dream, and the bottle will last you forever. I was skeptical at first, because I couldn't believe hair could actually be repaired in just two minutes..but this baby here proved me wrong.

This review is for the two-minute treatment, and NOT for the Aphogee 2 step treatment. I have used this protein treatment twice now, and it works pretty well, as far as I can tell...it is very easy to use, you just use a clarifying shampoo in the shower, then you apply this treatment on towel-dried hair, massage it through your hair strands, then wait two minutes. I put a shower cap on over it to really make it penetrate while I resume my shower. After 5 mins, I rinse it out and put in a moisturising treatment, as the protein treatment can leave hair a little dry when rinsed out. Then I style as usual. Once dry, my hair is nice and silky, and even my fried ends look good. It seems to be making my hair stronger and healthier looking. I have less hair fall out when I shampoo :) I only gave it four lippies, because I've only used it twice...but so far so good. For reference, I have dry curly hair, have only dyed it once 7 months ago, and have hard water...

Product is conveniently packaged, smells light, costs $14 CAD at Sally's for a fair-sized bottle, and delivers on its promise, as far as I can see. I have edited this to add that this treatment revives my natural 3A curls very nicely, and makes them really twist up! :)

I have bleached to platinum, naturally dry, curly hair. I *only* use deep conditioners. I don't even bother with the regular kind. Okay so that gives you an idea of what an uphill battle it is to be blonde. This stuff makes my life so easy!! My hair looks really good after using this. My hair has weight and shine. It feels stronger and thicker too. We have very hard water where we live so I've always dealt with dry poufy hair. I would definitely use this even if I didn't bleach my hair. Once I learned about protein vs moisture treatments it became really easy to grow my hair. This is NOT a conditioner you use all the time. Weekly at most imho. I use this on am as needed basis and ALWAYS either before or right after bleaching my roots. Highly recommend this to anyone that has hair! Lol.

I bought this a few weeks ago after a hair stylist said my hair was fried. (naturally brunette/auburn but i had bleached my hair blonde :/ ) I had just recently dyed it back to a light brown to try to get it healthy again. When my hair stylist told me this, i freaked out. I have never had fried hair! Anyways, after a few weeks of that in the back of my mind, I noticed how dry and brittle my ends were. I went to Sally's and asked the worker what she would recommend. She initially showed me the Leave-In conditioner by Aphogee (i'll write a review on that). I bought the leave-in and this product the same day. I went home and tried it out and it is amazing! I left it in for about 5 or 6 minutes with a disposable shower cap on. I couldn't even tell that my ends were once fried at all!! And it leaves your hair smooth and silky (if straightened). I typically do this treatment on sundays and then afterward i'll spritz in the leave-in conditioner on my ends as well. With me having thin hair, the next day my hair feels pretty oily/greasy but it's no big deal. I just bought the Deep Moisture Shampoo by Aphogee from eBay and I'll write a review on that too. I will definitely keep buying this to keep my hair strong, healthy, shiny, and a little volume! I highly recommend this product to anyone who has damaged/fried hair! :)
EDIT 1/20/2013: I have long used this bottle. After all, not impressed. It worked really well like I said, but only for the first few times. After that, never noticed a difference. I actually couldn't wait to get rid of it. I WILL NOT be buying again. Left my hair a tangled mess and super greasy the next morning. Not good. Subtracting 2 lippies.

I am African American and have worn my hair both relaxed and natural. In the AA hair care world, this product is demmed one of the best protein treatments. I bought it because so many people on yt and the hair boards raved about it. On my natural hair, I could not really tell a difference by using this product. My hair still felt the same, no better or no worse. About 2 years ago I decided to relax my hair. I tried this product again thinking maybe it would be better for relaxed hair. I left it on the suggested time of 2 mins. Once I rinsed it , my hair straight up felt like straw, it was scary. Rock hair and a stringy mess. I deep conditioned for the rest of the day. It took 1 -2 weeks for my hair to feel back to normal. I will never use this product again

I have fine, wavy, salon-colored long hair (caucasian). Condition is good -- but hey, it's colored (brunette to red), so it needs some babysitting.

This 2 Minute Reconstructor works wonderfully no matter where my hair is in terms of color, especially when it's a couple months out from the ends being done. The results: soft, volume, shiny, not heavy, feels incredibly healthy when dry. This nice result manages to stick around for a couple shampoos.

Important to note (on me, at least): I leave this on in the shower for 5 minutes. When rinsing, my hair is NOT a super soft, easy comb-able sheet of hair. I certainly have a lot of regular conditioners that make it feel a whole lot nicer in the shower and when combing out. It's after your hair is dry where you can really see how this shines. Really fantastic results, and if you use it fairly regularly, you really CAN see a difference in the overall quality of your hair, even when you leave this reconstructor behind for weeks.

This product gets confused with the much better 2 STEP PROTEIN TREATMENT by the same company, this one is just a conditioner and it has mineral oil which is pretty greasy.
I got this one thinking it was the protein treatment once and was highly disappointed.

The only thing this did to my hair was make it dry and fried looking. I followed the directions but alas this did not work for me.
