This cleanser is way too drying for my skin. It's a shame, I had expected this to be pretty good for dry skin, not only because it's a creamy cleanser, but also because Yes To's Nourishing line seems to be geared toward the "dry, flaky and parched" skin crowd. Honestly, I expected something a little better.
Unfortunately, I think the sulfates in this product may be to blame for my issues. Even though it's SLS-free, this product still contains coco-sulfates that can often be drying and irritating to some skin types. I've been trying to give this product the benefit of the doubt by thinking that maybe this wasn't a good cleanser for my skin during the dry winter months, but even though it's now close to 90 degrees and humid (meaning my face is pretty much an oil slick), I'm still getting the same bad results: dry, flaky skin that's red and irritated. Perhaps I'll use this as a body wash, but it's no longer going to come in contact with my face. >_<
On a lighter note, this product isn't a bad one; it has a great smell and some pretty beneficial ingredients. I would recommend it to people with normal to oily skin. continued >>

I use heavy sunblock and heavy face makeup on a regular basis, and this removes the residue wonderfully (I do use makeup remover first). Because I use anti-acne products, using most cleansers dries out my skin. This neither dried out nor moisturized my skin, although skin is so individual and variable I would never claim this would be the case for others. I like the thick, creamy consistency, and a little goes a long way. I don't mind the fragrance, which is strong for a cleanser but not as overpowering as is the norm for some other personal care products. If thick consistency or fragrance isn't your thing, this may not be the product for you. Otherwise, I think it's worth a try.

This cleanser removes make up etc. very well, but it makes me break out! I only use it on my body now. Really love the smell, though!

After an allergic reaction to benzoyl peroxide in a different face wash, I decided to try this because it's gentle, and I love my yes to carrots night cream and have been wanting to try other Yes To products. As a gentle cleanser, I really like this. I was previously (before the allergic reaction) using the Aveeno Moisturizing Face Bar, but it was kind of a pain to use, especially when the bar got really tiny. I think this is great for anyone needing something gentle and not drying. I know other people said this left a film, but I didn't experience that. I thought it left my face moisturized, maybe other people take that as a film because most face washes (like foaming ones) leave you with a "squeaky" clean feel (a feel I also used to love before I started having dry skin), with no trace of oils. Of course, you don't want to have an oily face, but you don't want to strip your skin either, and I thought this cleanser did a good job of balancing that (removing dirt/oils, but not ALL your skin's oils).
Anyway, it isn't for everyone, but I have recently adopted a "gentle/nourishing" approach to my skin care routine, and it has been working out well--the only time I have face problems is when they are of my own doing, like trying to pop a pimple that shouldn't be, or trying to pluck hairs that are barely visible yet, leaving red marks. I use this morning and night, with Clean & Clear dual action face lotion (morning), and the Yes to Carrots Nourishing Night Cream (night, duh), along with the Clean & Clear Advantage Acne Spot Treatment on any pimples.
Oh, and I gave a 4 on packaging quality just because the cap is a bit hard to open sometimes, but other than that I like it and it looks cute in my bathroom. :)
Thanks for reading! I hope this review was helpful. continued >>

This stuff is really bad on my skin; It irritates me like no other.
Everytime I try to use it it justmakes my skin sting and inflamed; The times I've tried to leave it on my skin for more than a few seconds, it's left me with enlarged pores, redness and patchiness. I guess I'll see how it works as a shaving cream but as a cleanser; It's a total waste!
I do have very sensitive skin so I'm sure I'm just an exception but at least this stuff smells amazing. :/

I think it's ok, the smell doesn't really matter to me although it's a little too strong, but whatever. It's a nice creamy consistency and I only need to use a penny-dropped amount. It doesn't feel like it's cleaning my face, and leaves a strong scent behind. I only use it in the shower because it's kind of hard to rub off by the sink because it's kind of oily. It felt like it just sat on my face and did nothing, and left a little residue behind. Hate to waste a great product :(

Not bad, not great either. Hydrating enough, but I didn't see any exraordinary results after using it.

I was looking for a cleanser after running out of my old one and wanted to try something new. I am so glad I found this product because I have combination/dry skin and this totally helps the dryness. I use it morning and night before bed and it is very hydrating. I like the consistency it has-not too thick, but enough so you can actually wash your face clean. I also like the scent it has! I would recommend this to anyone who is in need of a hydrating facial cleanser.

I was having some dry skin (around my nose and eye area) and felt i needed to concentrate on using more hydrating products. I have used a couple of the Yes to products and have been satisfied with them. The cleanser is very creamy and rich but still light. Its a cream cleanser so its almost like putting lotion on my face with out it rubbing in! The smell is a very different smell and at first I thought it smelled weird but the smell is definetly growing on me. Overall my favorite thing about it... it has definetly relieved my dry skin! My face feels hydrated too, which I enjoy and in no way makes me oily.

I love the all of the Yes To products and natural ingredients, so I just had to get this. I have sensitive combination skin (dry cheeks and oily nose,) and I use this for mild acne. This was sooo creamy and velvety :) Also, it made my skin smooth and not too oily. It made my dry cheeks soft and dried my nose. However, I notice if I use it too much, it can make my skin oily. I use this every other day along with the Yes to Cucumbers gentle cleanser. The Yes to Cucumbers is for sensitive skin but it kind of drying and this is kind of oily, so it's the perfect combination to alternate. If you have oily skin, I'd recommend rinsing with warm water so it's not TOTALLY absorbed in your pores, causing them to clog. If you have dry skin, rinse with cold water to lock in it. You can't go wrong with this product :)

I recently started using this product (about a week ago), and I really like it. I only use Yes To! products for my face, and I've had good results with each one, including the Daily Cream Facial Cleanser. It's creamy, doesn't overly dry out my skin (not that that's a major concern for me- my skin is very oily :-)), and has a good smell. The smell is a bit stronger than the other Yes To! products I've tried, but I like it, so it doesn't bother me. It's about eight dollars, and a little goes a long way, so it's worth the money.

Yes to Carrots has become my fave skin care line. It was the cruelty free aspect that first attracted me, but the overall performance of all of these products has been superior in every way promised. My skin has gotten drier over the past few months. Even in the summer, my forehead is rough, so I need a cleanser that doesn't dry me out. This one is perfect. The consistency is thick and creamy - I always use a washcloth - and it washes off without leaving my skin tight or itchy. Good stuff and the results are paying off because since using this, my skin has developed a neat glow to it.
And it's Cruelty Free!

This product killed my love of the Yes To line.
It's a heavy, heavy thick cream cleanser that doesn't cleanse well, leaves your skin greasy -- and at the same time totally dries my skin out.
However, using it made me realize that there's something in this whole line of products that I'm allergic to. I've never had skin allergies but since I started using the Yes To products (body butter, shower gel, makeup remover wipes, hair mask, etc.) I've suffered from all kinds of problems.
I left this on my face on day while brushing my teeth (so it was on for 2-3 minutes) and when I rinsed it off my face was bright, solid red and didn't go down until a benadryl kicked in.
I put 2 & 2 together and realized this product line was the cause of my itchy skin and scalp, as well as an allergic breakout I had earlier this year.
So a word of warning for those with sensitive skin or allergies, though my low rating is because it's just not a good cleanser, allergies or not.

My new HG, aside from St. Ives creamy cleanser/makeup remover.
I love this stuff - the whipped texture gets just slightly foamy and is super-light and very soft and silky. It takes off makeup very easily without requiring any scrubbing. It feels softer on the skin than any other product I've tried, which is perfect for my sensitive skin.
A little goes a long way, so it's not a bad value for the price. You can use just a touch of it and gradually dilute it with more and more water and it just gets the tiniest bit foamy and even seems to get more effective. Doesn't dry out the skin like regular foam cleansers. Cleans makeup off very easily.
Even though it's twice the price of St.Ives creamy cleanser/makeup remover (my other fave), it goes further because you can use so little of it at a time.
I also love the smell - it's very sweet, but I like it for that reason.
Last, my skin's texture feels smoother and pores look a bit smaller while using, which is also something I've been looking for.
My only complaint is that the tube's spout gets a bit clogged and messy after a while.

After using this cleanser for a few weeks, I had to say "No" to these carrots. I liked the very creamy consistency and the fact that it completely removed my makeup and sunscreen. However, I started developing dry patches, and since this cleanser was the only new item in my standard routine, I know it was the culprit. I've taken off one lippie for its drying property and one for the overly strong sweet fragrance.

I am seriously in LOVE with the whole Yes To line, and this cleanser is my favorite. It's a new product, only out for a little over a month now. I got it as soon as it was available and I am so pleased with it. I was previously using the Yes to Carrots Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser, which I also love, but I wanted something without exfoliation for everyday. It's sooo creamy and feels amazing on my skin. This cleanser removes makeup pretty well, I remove my makeup with a yes to cucumbers cleansing wipe and then use this cleanser which gets the rest of it off beautifully. My skin has never been this soft and flake free and I owe it all to the yes to products!

This is a wonderful cleanser for dry skin--I am so happy I found it in time for Fall/Winter! I was looking for a gentle & hydrating yet effective cleanser and I am really glad I picked this one up at Walgreens just on a whim. I feel like it is more effective than Cetaphil, and the aloe vera in it definitely helps with hydration. this one is a keeper! i use it with my iSkin (clarisonic "dupe" from Sallys)... I'm very happy with the results. Would def recommend for combo/dry skin. price is nice too : ) continued >>
