I'm a fan of Carmex lip products and was excited to try this lotion. This lotion is smooth and creamy, and it DOES have a faint "Carmex smell." I like to use this at night or at home because I find that the smell lingers for a while. It's cooling and is nice when my skin is feeling itchy.

One of my collegues bought a tube of this, and I used it and trully enjoy the feeling, and smell. I am looking all over for it, not may places carry it here in NYC. However, I looked and it says Walmart carrys it in a pump form, so with hopes I can find that one.

I really like this lotion. The smell is just so light and very nice. I like the way it dries. Well, it dries, but not in a "now I can go type on the computer "kinda way. I don't use it on my hands very much. Mostly on my very dry legs. It makes them stop itching for about 6 to 8 hours , then I reapply. Actually yesterday...I only had to use it in the morning. Went to the doctor yesterday and he suggested I see a derm doc. I will, but until then, I'm gonna use this stuff. I give it an A, if it was a couple bucks cheaper, I would give it an A+

I'm a huge Carmex fan...so ibwas supeer excited to see what the lotion was all about. So when I bought it I was ecstatic when I first smelled it..it has a carmex base scent but it has a hint of vanilla and it conditioned my hands so gooood! I'm in Michigan so its very cold and my skin dries very fast just a squeeze aand this works instantly!

This stuff is great! It has a pleasent kinda vanilla, kinda floral smell to it. It doesn't smell like the lipbalm w/ the menthol medicated scent. It's doing an excellent job at keeping my very dry winter hands, soft and pain free from cracks. Going to use this sparingly considering you don't need a whole lot and only place I can purchase is walgreens.

I absolutly love it! Great moisturizer and yummy smell. On the back it lists sevral effective ingredients and it really keeps my hands soft.

When rubbing in this lotion, I find it goes from having a nice slippery feel to suddenly being completely soaked in. I like to have a silky feel to my skin after applying lotion, not find my hand comes to a dead stop.
In comparison to my all time favorite, Gold Bond Healing with Aloe, it holds up just the same, even after wetting the skin, it's still there, and water rolls off. The scent fades quickly, until then it's a bit odd smelling, like carmex and plastic.
As for purchasing again, it is a maybe. We need a "maybe" choice for reviews. I think it's a very good choice to leave in a purse, the small 99cent tubes are handy.
This is overpriced at $6+ per full-sized tube.

I hate Carmex, the smell is just awful. Well so I thought. I picked up the healing cream for my husband since he has very dry skin and he liked it, but he didn't love it. I just happened to grab a few mini's of the lotion at Wal-Greens checkout for my purse and have really fallen in love with it. The smell is pretty close to carmex lip stuff but more creamy smelling. I soaks right in and leaves skin feeling smooth and soft and not greasy. I use this on my feet, hands and elbows but no where else. I will buy this again.

I bought a trial size of this stuff, and good thing. I was expecting a more heavy duty thicker cream that sinks in but this has a weird slippery silk afterfeel that i dont like. Its definitely no hand cream, and definitely not thick enough for those who like that on their skin. It does dry quickly, but thats about it :/ I think i was thrown off because it is a carmex product but it's definitely not what i expected. Maybe it's just a matter of preference, but the smell is kinda weird...it DOES smell like a plastic doll like someone else said lol. I can't decide if I like it or not, it's strange to me. In fact it might be a little stron. If you want thicker lotion, don't get this. I dont mind that it's lightweight, but my hands, feet and body still feel dry and cracked with it on. I'll use this up I guess but definitely won't buy the full size. Not a very good lotion...

This is an ok lotion it does it's job. What I love is the scent. It smells like Carmex plus baby doll heads lol.

I don't know..... I loved this the 1st moment I bought it (local drugstore $6.50), it seemed to be exactly what I was looking for: a skin-quenching lotion that would leave my hands feeling neither greasy nor dry after it absorbs. This seemed to be just that. But maybe it was too good to be true....

A few days later, it's not working as well anymore... my hands are back to feeling dry 10 min after using it (just like every other lotion I've ever used & temporarily loved ...they left me either dry unpleasantly greasy, neither of which is acceptable for writing & shuffling papers all day @ work)... but this doesn't happen all the time, it's kind of sporadic... I don't know what to say about this, I'm kind of stumped.

I'll just chalk it up to the nasty weather we're still having this early Spring 2011 & the terribly drying effects of hot water & indoor heat. It feels like a good lotion & I want to keep liking it. It does contain menthol, I noticed, which is drying... so that may be adding to the problem. But otherwise, this lotion boasts 9 healing ingredients.

I never got rid of this tube, so I decided to bring it to work for periodic use. As long as I don't use it daily, I like it. Gives my hands a comfortable, pampered feel (though I'm not thrilled w/the baby powder type scent - I feel like diapers till the scent dissipates). I worry that if I use it more often, my hands will dry out further instead of get better. I do like the texture of this product, however, & winter this yr a great deal milder than it was last yr.

This lotion has broken my skin out a lot. It got so bad that I had to see a dermatologist and now I have scars all on my arms and legs. I love the lip stuff, but they totally miss the mark with this lotion.

This review is for the Healing CREAM, not the lotion. My hands have always been a problem, particularly in winter. Not anymore! This stuff is amazing. I carry a tube in my bag and leave one in the house. Absorbs almosts instantly and is totally non-greasy. You can even use it in the car and drive immediately - that's how fast this absorbs. And it seems to last through repeated hand washings during the day. It has completely TRANSFORMED my hands. They're soft, and lines have been greatly reduced. It's also non-perfumey with a nice, soft smell. I have tried every hand cream on the planet and even took to slathering my hands with Elizabeth Arden's Eight Hour Cream which is supposed to be a miracle. This stuff is hands down (no pun intended) the best hand cream I've ever used.

I got a tube of this and my family loves it for the winter. They used this on their hands and marveled at the speed at which this lotion dried on their hands! The scent is okay, but i dont like the faint minty smell in it, but it's not that overwhelming so it's still acceptable.

I used to like Carmex lipstick, but this lotion is not my cup of tea... It does feel like absorbing quickly, but next time I wash my hand, it gets of the skin. More like a screen on the hand, but not nourishing the skin. The smells also becomes boring after a while.

Bought this yesterday for around $6. Smells like the lip balm, but not as strong. It absorbs very quickly and leaves skin feeling soft and smooth, with no residue or sticky/tacky feeling....which is a plus.

Love this stuff! It's thick without feeling greasy at all, and for some reason I love the slightly medicinal smell and it feels a little menthol-ly coolish on skin.Total comfort.

I was SO excited to see this at Walgreens- Carmex is amazing for chapped lips, so I imagined the lotion would be amazing for dry skin, and it is! I love the creaminess of it. Its a thick lotion but it absorbs pretty quickly and doesn't leave any greasiness or worse that sticky film! It fixes dry skin all day with one application.
I keep a tube in my desk drawer at work. I like the scent (almost a mixture of sunblock and carmex lip balm) but the smell fades and you are left with hydrated skin- so even if you don't love the smell it doesn't last forever.

I prefer the cream version to this lotion but both moisturize well and heals dryness and cracks. The scent is strong and is like a creamier, milkier version of the famous Carmex lip balm scent but I have to admit that after a hr or so, it worked with my body chemistry and started smelling like cocoa butter. Yum! I actually LIKE the scent and I am not the biggest fan of the lip balm scent but hey! it's not under your nose either.

Found this at Walgreens for $5. I really like how is sits on the skin. No greasy or film feeling. The smell is a little weird at first becasue he smells just like the lip stuff. But once its on the smell fades, and smells a whole lot better.
