This is one mascara that promises volume and delivers heavy clumps and smudges instead. I threw mine away after a week. The design of the brush is a problem because it does nothing to offer definition and separation of the lashes, as well as the thickness of the mascara's formula-way too thick!

I normally won't purchase mascaras made by Yardley but I received this "for free" when I purchased the Yardley overnight bag. It does not volumise and it smudges easily. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.
