I purchased the lightest shade in 81 Beige Clair and it was a good match to my complexion. For reference I wear MAC NC15 or Matchmaster shade 1 and Bourjois Healthy Mix shade 51. I've finally used this product up, but won't repurchase. It's a decent concealer as it's neutral with no obvious yellow or pink undertones, blends easily into the skin, and sets to a satin finish with luminosity. For me the lack of pigmentation is why I would not repurchase as it provides sheer to light coverage and I found myself requiring 3 layers just to camouflage my under eye darkness in conjunction with a corrector. I prefer using more pigmented concealers that require only one application to minimize the risks of caking and creasing.
I had high expectations on this product, after reading those good reviews. However, as a concealer it doesn't do anything, absolutely NO coverage! I still use it as a highlighter, though it's not really highlighting.
Pros: cheap, very affordable; doesn't dry out my skin
cons: no coverage at all
Will not buy again.
Why isnt there reviews going on about this? OMG! this product is AMAZZZINGGGG!! I have pretty bad dark circles and this covers them sooo well! Ive tried every concealer frm drugstore to high end, but this fits the profile perfectly for an undereye concealer because :
1) packaging is great with a brush concealer, brush is super soft and its easy to bring for travelling
2) it is salmon color, so it neutralizes the darkness
3) liquid texture, it doesnt accentuates fine lines under the eye and doesnt dry out the eye area.
4) quite long lasting without the need to put powder
what can you ask more from a concealer. its quite dirt cheap as well! amazing product amazing brand. enough said!
My lovely little Bourjois Brush Concealer is running low, and since I am no longer in the UK I can't repurchase it until I get overseas again! So this is my little Ode to one of my most beloved products...I can't believe it hasn't been shown more affection here!
I think the packaging is adorable, but a lot of the text has rubbed off. It feels pretty cheap, but it looks very cute boudoir-y (not a word...haha) with the black background and light pink accents. 4 twists is usually enough for me for both eyes-- I focus it on my inner corners, blending outwards under my eye to lessen undereye circles. I often take a little bit onto my lid as well, so the whole eye area has the same brightness to it.
I wouldn't call this a concealer, but it is most certainly a brightener. It never cakes, since it is not anywhere near thick enough to. It just seems to...brighten! It doesn't look like I'm wearing a thing, but it makes me look a hell of a lot less tired after I've put it on! While normally the skin under the eyes is different (thinner, more sensitive) from the skin on the rest of the face, using this product almost seems to have a smoothing effect on the borders where your 'eye skin' meets your 'face skin'. If that makes any sense (hahaha).
Anyway, I love this stuff and I will miss it very much. Oh dear, I'm getting nostalgic. I'll stock up next time I'm in Europe for sure!
Hope this helps!
It has a light to medium coverage. Great for under the eye dark circles not for blemishes. Good aplicator
This is a nice concealer. I'd say the coverage is light to medium. It's not enough for my dark circles, but I really like it for redness in my face. The consistency is a thick liquid that blends easily. It doesn't cake and it looks very natural on. The packaging is very convenient with the little brush. The only downside is that you can't see how much is left. The amount of product you get isn't that much so I guess this is fairly expensive, but it's still a lot cheaper than h/e concealers. Overall I really like this concealer and I've already bought back-ups in a sale.
