I like it!

Waste of money but then again I don't really like Maybelline Mascara.

I am so addicted to MUA and promised myself after reviewing this mascara I will stop procrastinating on what I really need to be doing! But I just couldn't wait to review this mascara because I am really surprised at how much I love it! It curls, and I mean CURLS my lashes and it's not even a curling mascara. I think the lash primer really does make my lashes look much thicker than they are and God only knows I need help with that. So this is one of my favorite new products that I have been reaching for lately and I just had to spread the word. Okay, time to get off of MUA and back to work . . .

Originally I didn't care much for this because it was clumpy, but after getting a brow comb and using it to comb through my lashes, it looks great on! I'd buy it again. One tip though...let the first white layer dry a few minutes first. I think that was also a big help.

I'm always trying different mascaras,seeing what's out there. I wasn't impressed with this. I saw no volume only length, it was very smudgey and I could never really make it look good it was always clumping no matter what I did.

What it is: Maybelline XXL volume mascara (11X the volume) --> taken from cardboard packaging.

Pros - darkens lashes. comes with lash primer. the brush makes it easier to reach each lash (inner and outer lashes, not a spoon brush).

Cons - I saw no volume in my lashes and certainly not 11x the volume. Tends to flake / smudge.

Over all - disappointing mascara. I'm so glad I got this with a gift card and didn't actually spend money on it. Basically, this mascara coats lashes and makes them darker. After about 4.5 hours of wear there was definitely some transfer from it being on my upper lashes to below my eyes. Would not re purchase because there are better mascaras around the same price. continued >>

I love to try different mascara's looking for my HG. This is not it. It flakes and does not create volume. The #1 side (primer) dried out so I thought the mascara would work well. It worked better alone but still flaked and did not curl my lashes at all. It caused them to straighten out. I would not recommend for the price. My hunt continues!

Word of advice: never "settle" when the store doesn't have what you want.

Selection was limited, as was my time, so I just picked the only brown mascara available: this one. And...my god, this mascara is bad. Bad bad bad.

It volumizes, all right...if by volumize you mean "glues together your lashes into six or seven mega-lashes."

I can't decide if it's a fault of the brushes themselves, with their tiny, warped bristles, or the formula, clumpy mess that it is, or some combination of both. All I know is that I can never pull off a second coat, careful prep and application notwithstanding.

With as much variety as there is, you should have absolutely no problem picking something else that will outperform this sad little mascara. I give it two lippies only because it's marginally better than MAC's Zoomlash, which is synonymous with FAIL.

This mascara left my eyelashes spidery and dull, I didn't see ANY volume affect at all. I would not recommend this.

Clumpy and takes forever to dry, god forbid you blink within five minutes of applying. KEEP AWAY.

I have thin sparse blonde lashes. This mascara does nothing for them. It's clumpy and takes too long to dry.

I bought this when I ran out my Clinique mascara, which I adored.
I, before Clinique, had always been an avid buyer of Maybelline mascaras and had good luck with both Colossal and Stiletto, so when someone told me that this mascara was great, I thought I'd give it a try.
Excited about using it, I originally loved the first step (base, then mascara). The base slid on nicely when the mascara clumped.
The brush for both is absolutely tiny. It's hard to get it mascara to completely cover the lashes. Thank god I had a coupon when I bought this, so it wasn't full price.
I ended up going back to Colossal. But I might give it another go, if it's any better, I'll update.

After having eyelash extensions for over a year, I was left with tiny little stubby lashes that were almost invisible. I have now been using Latisse for four months, and although my lashes were longer, they still lacked the fullness they used to have before the extensions. I bought this mascara upon recommendation from another girl who had AMAZING lashes! At first, I didn't care for this mascara until I found a technique that works better for me. I curl my lashes, then apply a coat of the #2 mascara on my lashes, then a coat of the #1 white primer, and then finally another coat of the #2 mascara. This leaves me with thick, amazing lashes that people have been complimenting lately!

What a great buy! I'm one of those unfortunate to have sparse eyelashes that are almost clear blond at the tips, so I need my mascara to, well, work miracles! And this one certainly does: my lashes look bolder, thicker and longer.
At first, I wasn't too sure about the whole two-step thing (white conditioner goes on, then black mascara) simply because I remember using something similar by L'Oreal some years ago and tossed it out with disgust soon after. But this one, the Maybelline XXL Pro Volume is a keeper!!
Apart from the affordable price tag, I also like the fact that it doesn't budge at all during the day - I've used more expensive mascaras that only last 5 or 6 hours, so this I like.
The only negative for me is getting used to the way they've packaged it: when I unscrew the cap, I'm always surprised to see the wand in my left hand and the conditioner or mascara in the cap now in my right. All the left handed gals are probably lapping it up!

Well, my mascara search may finally be over! Maybelline discontinued my favorite mascara, the XXL Volume + Length and replaced it with five different types of SKUs. This SKU is supposed to build volume, which is what I need most, because I lost the majority of my lashes due to medication. The base coat is white ~ I apply it first and immediately apply the topcoat. I've found that the primer works best if you do not allow it to dry at all.

This mascara provides my lashes with plenty of volume, which works for me. Not sure what the microfiber means ~ However, this one has 24 hour staying power, but those days are gone for me ~ HA! This mascara is very similar to my favorite that was discontinued, so I am sticking with it for now. I may check out XXL Pro 24Hr Bold Volume next time to figure out what the difference is...
