I got the revlon just bitten stain plus balm only a few days ago in the shade Victorian. At first it was very nice but the next day I wore I I saw some things I did not like. First, the balm broke seconds after I opened it. The felt tip left little flakes on my lips, it put more color on the bottom lip than the top and left a weird lip around my bottom lip. And then it dried out lip almost completely. I was really excited for this product and I was very disappointed. I recommend not to waste like 9 bucks on this product.
The colour is nice, however it doesn't build up the lip structure well, make it look a bit too dry and the quality of the Balm go with it is not really good.
It's quick to fade away too, but still nice to have.
The packaging was simple enough, although it took me ten minutes and a pair of scissors to open it. I blame my nails. Once opened, I was sad to see that the balm had broken off inside the cap, and that it wasn't a swivel stick variety. They could definitely improve by making it swivel upwards.
As for the actual stain, I like it. It's a nice color that seems to last for quite a while. As mentioned in other reviews, it needs to be layered a little in order to get complete coverage, but other than that, I was satisfied.
Tip: Moisturize beforehand! If not, any stain'll get stuck in the cracks of your lips and look uneven :(
Revlon Just Bitten lipstain is an excellent drugstore product. For my lips, the stain itself feels as drying as Benefit's lip stains, but comes in a variety of colours and is a fraction of the price. The Gothic colour is a deep red and, as many reviewers have said, requires a couple of coats if you want a deep, more opaque colour. As with any lipstain, it is important to exfoliate your lips before application to prevent colour sticking to cracked or dry patches. The balm that come with this product is useful only for adding shine, layer with a good, moisturizing lip balm if you find the stain drying. Use this as a daily-wear to add a bit of colour. Apply with a lip brush to meeting the color toned down and well-dispersed. Usually feel like I need a touch up 4-5 hours in. Overall, good value, would buy again in a few other colours for variety.
I have this product in the color Gothic and it is a beautiful deep cherry red!
I love love love this product! It does exactly what it is supposed to. It last on my lips about 5 hours an survives drinking and eating.
The only cons are it dries up rather quickly and your lips will feel a bit dry, I just keep a tube of soft lips Chapstick with me and that does the trick.
I tend to have dry lips, and this does not work unless you exfoliate previously. If not, the color will concentrate on the dry spots on your lips, and also tends to fill in the "cracks" of my lips more than elsewhere. Color was pretty though, and it lasted a decent while, but I wouldn't purchase again. I found the balm on the other side to be drying to my lips.
This is a beautiful deep berry stain, which lasts a long time. The balm keeps lips from drying out. I only wish the balm swiveled out of the tube rather than the entire end being exposed. I'm afraid I'm going to break it off. Otherwise, this is a great product.

I really think they need a "maybe" option under "would you buy this product again?"
Anyway, I'm on the fence about this product. I love lip stains, but I've found that I can count the ones that work well on one hand (and they're usually around $20 ... so, not exactly cheap). Revlon's Just Bitten carries a moderate price tag of around $8-9. It's double sided, featuring a balm on one end and the color applicator on the other.
PROs: The colors are gorgeous. I love this red. I find so few reds that look good with my complexion and ginger hair, but this looks great! Even now that I've died my hair magenta, it still looks great (doesn't clash).
CONs: The balm broke off within days on both colors I've owned. The stain tastes like isopropyl alcohol, burns, and is very drying. The color doesn't seem to apply evenly (maybe due to the consistency?). Also, as the stain wears off it tends to leave a hideous line around my lips! I have to scrub the edges in a futile effort to blend it. :/
May or may not purchase this again. I think I'm considering going back to UD's Lip Envy (pricey, but I LOVE IT).
While I am very interested in long lasting lip products, this stain in my opinion didn't stand up to the challenge. I do love the color and the balm that comes with it, but the stain barely lasted an hour when I used it. I will search elsewhere for my lip stain needs.
I bought this because I wear a lot of red lippy and I was interested to see if this would be a much longer lasting alternative.
I'm kind of torn about this one. The good bits first - the colour was a nice darkish red. Not quite vampy, but definitely not bright. just nice and wearable. The balm works well and feels very soft on the lips without being sticky. Also, as the name suggests, it really does stain the lips and the colour lasts all day so I can't complain there.
BUT. The application is a nightmare. The brush is hard and feels very tickly and dragging on the lips - it really is like colouring your mouth in with a felt tip. This also means its pretty much impossible to get the colour even. The best way seems to try to use it slightly on the side, but then this becomes impossible when trying to do the lip contours. Even with liner or anything it bleeds badly. The other problem is that it really accentuates any creases in the lips. I have quite full lips and on me it creased horribly and made my lips look dry and uneven even though they usually aren't. It's hard to touch up because as soon as you start layering it becomes very dark in some places and looks patchy.
I won't buy this again, but maybe with smaller lips it might be easier to get a decent coverage.
