I never thought that Purple would look good on me, but Go For It changed my mind.
I love how the color doesn't seem so strong and overwhelming when applied, and still stay true to it's purple color.
Happy that I was able to give this limited edition gem a try!

Oh my, I do love this color. Lavender whip is one of my faves (have backup), however this is a nice alternative. It's much deeper and more of a true purple but very wearable. It's a throw on and go color that I don't have to work with like I do with Lavender whip.

I was so excited when i saw this limited edition lipstick! I have some nice polite lipstick colors, but i really crave unusual ones. Sadly, before i could purchase, it was sold out in my local MAC shop and on mac online. So i called around, found a shop that still had it, and ordered two! It has a nice moist creamy feel and is quite wearable in a light coating, and with a bit of pink gloss on top. For a real cyanotic look, build up the color with a couple applications, nice with Urban Decay Asphyxia eye shadow.

A surprisingly wearable purple lipstick that looks great with a cool toned shimmery pink lipgloss on top. Out of all the purples and lavendars that MAC has released, Go For It is one of my favorites.

Go For It is my first MAC purchase. It just arrived in the mail. I tried this on at the MAC counter after seeing it in two magazines, Glamour and Seventeen. To my suprise it actually looks good on me! Wow. This is a crazy color. It's a vibrant grape. But I LOVE it. And it's limited edition, so I had to get it. Oh how I love it! Plus it smells like vanilla too and feels really nice and creamy on my lips. I want to get a ton of MAC lipsticks now. I would definatly purchase again.

Love it! I ordered it online. Was a little scared about the purple but purple is my favorite color so I decided to try it. The color is very buildable, nice soft shimmery purple, or more dramatic with more coats. A different color and a nice change from all my other lipsticks. I liked it so much I ordered 2 more for when they stop selling it. Hoping they make it a regular color.

Go For It is insaaane! This is a bright, medium blue purple. The tiny silver shimmer are very complimenting, as they aren't too obvious and look nice with the shine. The coverage is buildable, I can go from a light berry to a gorgeous deeper violet. I'm really liking the Cremesheen formula, I've been stuck on glazes for a while, and I like how it has a very creamy, soft, almost "milky" appearance, feels great on my lips. I just wish this were more long-lasting, it looks like a stain within 3 hours, but I honestly have no problem reapplying. Oh,and it may make your teeth appear a little yellow. :o( Regardless, I love this purple!

When I first saw this lippie I was kind of taken aback due to it being a strange purple thinking who would wear this color? But after trying it on I have to say I'm really impressed and it looks really good with my pigmented lips and NC45 skintone. So ladies please try it on before passing on this thinking it might not work for you. I think it will look good with any skintone. If I weren't waiting on the digi pops collection, I'd definitely buy another one of these. They have Go For it paired with Chillin(which I bought) but it did nothing but turn into a clear gloss and chased the purple away.

I have been waiting for this color before it was released! I have been wanting a purple that is less vibrant than Violetta. I use Violetta for those days that I want to be bold, but this color I can wear more often. You can layer the intensity of the color which I like. I paired it with a plumish liner and a brown liner to get different variations and it looked great. Very pretty bluish purple. Love it!!

COMPARISON PHOTO INCLUDED
This deserves a five, in spite of the tricky color.
Go for It is Violetta's less pink, more blue sister; a grape purple.
On NW15 me, Go for It is a lovely vibrant violet. It's an unusual shade, and not for everybody, but those whom it suits are going to adore it.
I wore a pink stain underneath, used Plum pencil to line, and topped with Dazzlepuss Dazzleglass, and the result is a bit on the edgy side, but beautiful and wearable.
P.S. Erinmakingfaces has some excellent photos of herself wearing Go For It in the gallery; on her, it shows up the same sort of vibrant violet that it does on me.

Oh yes! I have been dying for this lipstick shade since I heard about the In the Groove collection. I've been dying for a straight grape-purple lipstick without pink undertones. I love love love this shade of lipstick. I do wish it was made as an amplified instead of cremesheen, but I am still very happy with it. I bought two just in case. Fingers crossed that MAC will either keep this shade as a permanent or make another one similar, but as an amplified for us purple lipstick fanatics.
PS: Just curious if anyone knows a dupe for this color lipstick from the drugstores?

This is imho a very wearable purple, because you can easily control how sheer or not you want it to be. Actually I can see it being a great base for alot of the l/g like Boys go Crazy d/g. I can't wait to play!:) I've been looking for a purple that was purple, not berry not to blue/black toned. This is perfect for me, so I do hope they make it permanent. I would definitely buy again.

This is from the In the Groove collection. In the tube, it reminds me of a purple jellybean (midtone purple with cool blue undertone). On my lips, it shows up as a pink purple color but not too 80's. Since it's a creamsheen it's not too harsh looking and it's stil wearable for everyday (depending on your office dresscode). This is such a unique color that I ran back to my MAC counter and purchased another one. Collection was released 3 days ago and they're almost sold out. I've heard that this is alot like Violetta but it's really not.Looks great with my MAC bronzing powder and a neutral eye.
*Update: I know that MAC released Chillen Lipgloss (pastel blue, although it's very sheer) is being recommended with this. Revlon released with its Spring collection Lilac Pastelle, which is just that, a sheer lilac purple, and it's a fraction of the cost of Chillen. Also, if you're looking for a liner, Jordana (drugstore brand) in Parisian Plum id great and it's only $2. Just a suggestion.

I was lemming this ever since I heard about the In The Groove collection. I must say, this did not disappoint.
Go For It is straight up purple. The formula is Cremesheen, which I don't really care for. I wish they made this in the Amplified formula since that lasts longer and gives better coverage. The Cremesheen formula is very glossy and doesn't really "dry" on your lips so the product moves around more. That is why I gave this lipstick 4 lippies instead of 5.
Over all, I think this was worth the wait. Its not my fave purple l/s, but it still very cool!
