I've had my eye on these for a while, reading many good reviews and needed to find a product that would brighten up my face. After saving my pennies I purchased this item about two weeks ago @ Sephora. Like other reviews, you don't see a diffference on your skin until you've used them a few times and then notice a "glow". I used a kabuki brush to swirl it over the pearls and dust over my face. I've tried them over foundation and blush, over tinted moisturizer and over just plain moisturizer and each time they deliver that halo glow. Love the violet scent (it disappears). I love this product. They work - leaves a healthy aura to where ever applied. Highly recommend these. Yep, they are costly but will probably last forever. I'm NC25 yellow undertones and the Tient Rose works just fine.

I love the new metal tin can! It still looks new after many uses. The color in this Teint Rose is the same as Mythic 01 in the old cardboard container. The effect of this highlighter is so subtle one can use it all over the face. Teint Rose adds no color to the face only tiny sparkles and gives it a very soft glow. Although I usually do not like scents in my makeup but the smell of this powder is so luxurious I do not mind it in this case. The amount included is extremely generous, you may never need to buy another one, especially now it's in a sturdier container!

LOVE LOVE LOVE this stuff!!!!!! I have it in Teint Rose and I'm in between NC 25 and NC 30 in complexion. First off, for everyone thinking that this is a highlighter, this product is NOT in the least a highlighter! This is a beautiful finishing powder that you cannot see at all. At first when you apply it, it looks very blah (not chalky at all), and you're like okkkaayyy, this is like every other finishing powder. But give it like 20 minutes and holy cow! It imparts this amazingly beautiful glow to your face that I can't even explain! All I know is that I've never seen anything like it before! You can't see the powder anywhere on your face, yet it brightens your face and makes it look so angelic. I'm constantly looking at myself in the mirror and I do notice that I get a lot of compliments when I'm wearing this. These tiny little balls are just magical! I usually apply this all over my face with my Diorskin Nude foundation and don't usually use any other powders. Once in a while I'll use some Dior shimmering powder if I want to highlight my cheeks and forehead. Or if I want a little more coverage, I throw on some Diorskin Nude Scupting powder, but since that powder is thick and definitely looks very powdery, I don't prefer to use that often and everyday. I would never pay $60 for a powder, but this stuff is a Godsend!!!! I would get it over and over again! I have a feeling that these tiny balls will last a while though. Oh yeah and no breakouts guys! And believe me when I say that I have the MOST sensitive, acne-prone skin ever to exist---I even breakout with the wrong detergent/drier sheets! One thing to add is that this doesn't provide any coverage whatsoever, hence why you can't see it on your skin as "powder." It's simply a finishing powder that makes you look like you have the prettiest skin in the room. I also notice that any other powder will make my skin matte at first and then oily as the day progresses (esp. the t-zone), but the meteorites NEVER make my face look greasy as the day progresses, not even my t-zone! I'm so so so impressed with this wondrous product, and everyone can stand to benefit with this IMO.

I at first (like most people) thought these were a highlighter for the cheeks. they're not! this is a finishing powder designed to illuminate the skin.
and also like most people, I saw no difference at first. but then you look more closely and think yes, something is diffrent.
I always say Guerlain are contradicting themselves, claiming that the meteorites line (primer etc) are all desinged to make you look natural but radiant. and they put "light relfecting particles" aka glitter in everything in the meteorites line.
but then again the glitter isn't that noticeable and there isn't lots of it. the white/silver pearls are the ones with glitter in, so if you don't have all the silver pearls at the top of the pot you will get little/no glitter on your face.
the light still catches on the skin and reflects like it normally would with or without this powder. but Meteorites do even out skin tone, (or appear to) so they give a smooth and even finish. I particularly like the finish this powder gives, smooth and even and doesn't look powdery at all. so I guess there aren't any tell tale signs your wearing the powder, which is what a powder should do.
the pearls also seem to stop shine/sweat and make makeup last longer along with primer. the pearls give a natural finish, and I don't go shiny at all during the day. apart from my nose & chin, but they go shiny whatever I have on, so a bit of concealer sorted them out.
I have a range of differently priced foundations from Maybelline to Chanel. and I found the pearls go on best on more expensive liquid foundations. they don't do too well on top of powder /powdery finish, like Maybelline matte mousee.
these do seem expensive when you think £30-odd just for finishing powder, but there is 30grams. whereas most powders are only 9 - 10, at the most 12g. so this is actually quite good for the money. I've had mine 3 months now and the pearls don't appear to have gotten any smaller. and lots of people say they last eons.
HINT - testing these in store won't give you a true representation of the colour unless you use a clean brush. because this so light and hardly pigmented and the brush at the counter will have been dipped in every other type of powder and colours that you'll get all the other colours and powders on your skin along with the one you want to try. so take a clean brush and swirl generously into the testing pot and on the back of one of your hands and compare it against the other hand in natural light, you'll see the diffrence. continued >>

Tried the pressed powder version, which was just OK. But I love this stuff! Imparts a subtle glow that looks ethereal. No crazy sparklies in here, and it doesn't get cakey and emphasize undereye lines as does the doctor/drugstore version. I bought mine over 15 months ago, use it daily, and still have about half a tin left. So the sticker shock is considerable, but the value great. I also use the meteorites brush with this, and am pleased with its performance.

First of all the metal tin they come in is so pretty! I love it. And the product itself is really amazeballs.
The balls themselves smell like violets, which I adore. I use them as an all-over setting powder and they give the most beautiful subtle glow to my complexion. If you are looking for serious shiny highlights, you might be disappointed, but if you're just looking for a boost for your face, this product is the best. I will buy again for sure.

I've been wanting to buy this for years but $60 on a sheer illuminating powder?? I always passed. But I caved last month when I fell in love with Guerlain foundation..so I thought why not? This powder is supposed to give skin a glowy radiant look and each pearl has a specific color correcting purpose. I chose Rose since it is the original and supposed to work with most skin tones. After using this as a finishing powder...WOW. It gives such a magical effect. Truly gave me a radiant glow...like those makeup ads where the model has perfect skin. It evened out my skin tone, diminished fine lines, made me look less tired, and well like I said, I looked radiant. Meteorites ARE NOT supposed to give you color and they DO NOT show up shimmery like a highlight at all. They are not detectable once on, they just enhance skin like foundation does. It's almost impossible to overdo. So if you want a blush or color or a pigmented highlighter, this is not that. These will last me years! though I will gladly buy a new one :)

This is an OK highlighter. The tin is exquisite (and it smells divine) but the overall I found the product to be rather messy and not that user-friendly. I thought the powder itself to be overpriced for what it is and does - although in saying that I imagine that one pot would last forever.
I would much rather invest my money in the Bobbi Brown shimmer brick (maybe Pink Oyster) if I had to choose between the two.

Who knows why I thought it would be a good idea to buy these...I think it was because I got suckered in by the beautiful packaging that Guerlain is known for. I also read girls rave about this stuff. I was seriously wanting these for awhile, but my head was telling me, 'No, no, no. It's a ruse'. But I caved.
Your brain will tell you these are useless and you're being tricked by shiny packaging and elitist prices. You'll try them a few times, thinking, 'What's the big deal? I see no difference at all!' You will notice that the meteorites don't make you shiny, but contain sparkly particles and a lovely scent (I like scents). They do make your complexion slightly lighter than before (this is Teint Rose). But after a couple of times you'll realize, 'Hmm something is different'. Your face will look softer and your skin will look even and healthy. (I should say, they are not a highlighting power. They are an illuminating finishing powder. I use them all over my face. Liberally.) Even though you'll be skeptical at first, you'll get compliments every time you wear them. And that's how you know this product is good. Even though I'm embarrassed to tell my mom how much money I spent on them, I'll continue to buy them. I love these!

Guerlain revamped their Meteorites collection in Summer 2010, switching from the cardboard packaging to a beautiful tin packaging. Since I am such a fan of packaging, I had to buy it! It retails for $56. The previous collection consisted of Mythic, Pink Fresh, and Beige Chic. Also, Guerlain releases limited edition every holiday, my favorite is the Holiday Collection Meteorites, Butterfly Pearls.
Teint Rose, Teint Beige, and Teint Doree are not limited edition and are replacing the previous standard collection of Mythic, Pink Fresh, and Beige Chic.
I purchased Guerlain's Meteorites in Teint Rose, which seems to be the newer version of Mythic. The pearls still have the lovely lilac scent from all previou meteorites s. The lilac scent is not overpowering and goes away after application. The other 2 shades available are Teint Beige and Teint Doree. I use it as a highlighter and it leaves a luminous glow that I cannot achieve with other loose powders. The Meteorites consist of Pink, White, Green, Yellow, and Lavender pearls. The Pink evens out skintone, White brightens, Green decreases redness, Yellow glows, and Lavender neutralizes. I got Teint Rose especially because of the green pearls. I have redness on my cheeks which is not very flattering, and the green pearls decreases the redness and brightens my skin! I use the Meteorites as the last step and apply this loose powder all over my face. Teint Rose is perfect for fair to medium skintones, but I wouldn't recommend it for medium to dark skintones as it leaves a white cast. Darker skintones should try Teint Beige or Teint Doree.
If you already have mythic, there's no need to purchase this unless you're a packaging fan like me! However, if you haven't tried Guerlain's Meteorites, I would highly recommend it!

My skin is dry/combination (my forehead tends to break out, but my cheeks are incredibly dry) NW/NC 25 (I am pretty sure I am cool toned, but can wear foundations meant for warm toned...so I guess I'm more neutral..), with sparse fine lines on my forehead only. My pores are medium sized, and my skin is very sensitive and breaks out easily.

I chose to buy this product to use as a setting powder that would leave a subtle, luminous finish without making it look like I rubbed my face in glitter. I wanted a "lit from within" type glowy appearance, yet subtle. This product delivers exactly that. I use a fluffy complexion brush to dust a light amount of this all over my face to set my foundation. I gives a very subtle luminosity to the skin, not a harsh glittery or greasy appearance. It is simply lovely.

The scent is quite strong. Very fruity-perfume-y, and can take some getting used to, especially for someone like me who is sensitive to strong scents. It is not overpowering, though, and fades as the day goes on. The packaging is sturdy and attractive, fitting the beauty of the product itself. It comes with a small sponge to keep the balls in place under the lid when not in use, which I appreciate. I am very happy with this product, and will repurchase in the future.

So this product is the reason that I wish there was a maybe opItion as to whether i would repurchase it - I like the product and the effect it has on my skin - i'm always on the lookout for products that help with lumionsity and radiance - not that my skin lacks either - i just really really like that look - anyways the product on me does what it says it does - my skin looks great and i get lot of compliments - it has a scent - kind of perfumey which i don't mind - i apply it with a bobby brown bronzing brush - i have the new one with the metal tin which i happy about because i think its more durable and looks better and honestly if i had paid $65 Cad for it and it came in cheap cardboard I would have been pretty disappointed. It seems to be very long lasting so i dont think I will have to buy it again for a long time which is a good thing - only time will tell if I keep using it - or get bored and move on

According to Guerlain's official description of their new Meteorites Perles, Teint Rose is supposed to be the best for cooler skintones with a tendency to suffer from redness. I have a warm skin with golden undertones (MAC NC30) so I was very surprised that I was recommended Teint Rose at a Guerlain boutique in Paris after I said that I wanted a luminous, radiant effect.
According to the Guerlain MAs, Teint Rose is almost transparent and *is* Mythic. It also "attracts" light to the skin the best out of all three products.
Teint Beige is more rosy than Teint Doré but Teint Beige can be dull on the skin.
On the back of my hand, Teint Beige was indeed dull as the MA had said it would be, and Teint Rose did give it a natural luminosity and I was tempted to buy it because I was enamoured of how pink the back of my hand was where the Teint Rose was applied. She then put Teint Rose on my face at the boutique and was asking me if I saw the effect it had. I was like "where?" and she pointed out where she had highlighted my T-zone, the top of my cheek bones and I patronizingly said "hmm yea" even though I really didn't see much of that fabled light attracting effect. It was just light hitting my skin like it would, with or without Guerlain's Meteorites. In fact, it was obvious that there was a layer of powder on my skin and when I mentioned this, the MA said that Guerlain Meteorites are supposed to give a satin finish to the skin. There's satin finish that looks like your skin, and satin finish that looks like powder. In my book, if you get something that gives you radiant skin but shows tell-tale signs of its existence, it pretty much defeats the purpose. Under indoor lighting, Teint Rose did look like it was the better choice, as the spot on my hand where it was looked pink and healthy. But once I was outdoors, it was a different story. In sunlight, it was obvious that Teint Rose was chalky. Perhaps Teint Rose is simply too light and too cool for my skintone.
I also mentioned at the boutique that Teint Rose looks a lot like Mythic, and the MA said "it IS Mythic" so if you already own Mythic, don't bother buying the same product in a different container.
