Didn't really want to believe that I'd spend $160 on a flat iron, but I decided to try it. Yes, it is that good. Previously I'd only bought the $30 ones at Target and they were ok, but often pulled my hair or just didn't do the job. The T3 is great. One pass is all I need and it stays straight all day. Believe the hype.

I decided to try this iron after reading positive reviews and the fact that allure voted for it. I've previously used a chi and a solia and I think this one measures up to those brands. It's also good for the price, which isn't cheap but not as expensive as some other brands (I got it from ebeauty.ca for $160). It heats up incredibly fast and leaves my hair super straight and shiny but not too flat. I love it!

I had such high hopes for this flat iron. I researched before I bought, narrowed it down to GHD, CHI.&...settled on the T3 Single Pass. At that time (about a month ago) I did not read any reviews saying that even with TLC and looking after it.............. it would it DIE....4 WEEKS after buying it!!! It suddenly stopped heating up! I am really upset! I was going to write a longer review but basically want to know.....
Has anyone else had this problem????
Up until this point, it was an amazing flat iron..got my hair really straight and frizz-free....I LOVED it.....until now!
Can anyone suggest one they are VERY happy with....under $200??
Thanks!!

Bought it in April, died today. Thankfully Ulta does a return store credit. Bought a Sedu. It was a good straightener. I just don't think something costing $160 should only last only a few months. BTW I didn't use it every day, so no wear and tear excuse.

I just went to my Costco and they don't have it. Which Costco did you buy it at? I am in NJ.

I saw this at costco for 79.99 the other day and I almost fainted on the spot! half the price?! seriously?! I HAD to have it! This is my first high end flat iron, so I cannot compare it to the infamous CHI like everyone says. I did try the remington frizz straightener that won an award from allure and I also tried the bed head rock star flat iron that I've used for 6 months so I can at least compare it to those two. Now with the remington flat iron, it was a nice gentle iron that could smoothen your strands after 4-5 passes, your hair would not smell burnt, but the straightening effect lasted for about 6 hours before it became wavy again. The bed head flat iron made my hair bone straight, but it also left it with that crunchy texture after use. This iron does none of those cons! You have to wait for the light to turn solid after use though, but that takes around 10 seconds for the highest setting. The first time I used it I was close to tears because I didnt know I had to wait for the light to turn solid. lol. Anyway, this is great! It really can straighten your hair in a single pass! It leaves my hair soft and healthy looking, I dont feel my hair getting fried at all! Would I buy it again? Maybe if I can find it at the same price from costco, I would! No regrets here!

This flat iron is well worth the money. It is durable and it minimizes damage to hair. While the GHD and the CHI yield flat lifeless hair, the T3 gives me natural-looking, soft, healthy hair. All my friends who had used my T3 fell in love with the results it gave. Not only does this flat iron yield extremely good results, the design of the iron itself is also very cute. I have fine, chemically treated hair and I use this at 300F. I like how the temperature is adjustable for the T3, unlike the CHI or the GHD. Also, the "floating" plates on this iron ensure that my hair is never pulled or snagged. The flat iron runs through my hair extremely smoothly. And I usually only need to pass through a certain portion of my hair once, and never more than twice for my hair. But the heat mat it comes with is kind of useless, I would much rather have a traveling pouch.

Can a girl be in love with her flat iron? Moreover, is it wrong when she is?
I don't think so, not when that piece of machinery is a miracle-maker that makes her feel salon-finished.
I'd tried my friends' flat irons before I decided to purchase my own (college, long overdue!), so I had a pretty good idea of what the CHI that everyone used could do. It would straighter my hair, sure, but I remember being able to smell that slight burn smell, along with feeling the snag of the iron on my hair (it hurt!).
With this iron, there's none of that.
I have a lot of hair, but the individual hair strands are thin, the result being hair that is flat at the root. The texture is also in between curly and straight. This iron gives me the option of straight or wavy hair with lots of volume. It doesn't pull at my hair at all, and in fact my hair feels even better after it's ironed. After several weeks of regular use I don't feel any damage after wash.
My friend was so impressed by the results that I get with the T3 that she actually ended up purchasing the iron herself, and she's very pleased with it as well.
So give this iron a try, and if you're not as happy as I am you can always return it back to Sephora or wherever (just keep the receipt!).

Overall: 5/5 I used to use a Chi with amazing results, but I needed a new flatiron due to my Chi being 2+ years old. I heard now Chi is outsourcing their labor and their quality has reduced. I did some research and bought a t3 instead. I like it better because it doesn't pull my hair like the Chi did, and it has a heat control setting. Single pass? No, not on my wavy hair...more like 2-3. The little stones are cute in it though! Overall, I can say the quality (damage, shine, etc) of my hair is very similar to using my Chi.
Price: 4/5 not as expensive as some on the market, but still pricey. about $160.
Package quality: 4/5 comes with a cord wrap attached which is nice to keep your cord from being damaged. It also comes with a outlet prong-protector so your prongs don't get bent. I knocked off 1 lippy because it wouldn't have been hard to include a storage/travel pouch instead of that stupid "heat" mat. haha
I would buy this again.

Amazing straightener. My hair is so shiny and soft after just one or two passes :)

Love. This is my first high end straightener, and I finally see what I've been missing. My hair is quite long, and pretty fried, lots of split ends, breakage, etc. This iron is amaaazing! It makes my hair feel SO soft and healthy, even the first time I used it, my hair felt like silk. I love that the temp is adjustable, I never need the highest heat setting. Doesn't pull my hair, the plates are so smooth and there's nothing to grab stray strands, and it heats up/cools down super fast. I just wish it had an auto shutoff feature.
It took a little getting used to, the plates are shorter than what I was used to, but after a couple weeks it was a non-issue. It's cute, really effective, and since it seems to be doing good things for my hair, totally worth what I paid (about $175CAD at Sephora).
