I have this in passion (there is a review under the colour listing as well)There were things I liked about this, but not enough to make up for the negatives. I had an older version of just bitten, maybe 4-5 years ago which I liked a LOT more, the tube contained a lot more product and there was no waste of space balm.
The Good:
This lasts really well, and I love the colour. On me, it's a fairly bright pink, which can be layered to be really really bright, or with one coat it's a slightly more natural, but still bright colour. The packaging is a good idea, but the execution is terrible. It's not overdrying. The balm is fine. You can use other balms and gosses over the top without effecting the staying power which is good.
The Bad:
This is so overpriced! In Australia Revlon is way to expensive. I'm not sure how much product you get, but going by the size of the tube it is not enough. The tube is not very secure - it doesn't close tightly enough for me, and the balm just sticks out at the end, which meant mine broke after two days and I had to try and stick it back together. I wish they sold the balm seperately, because it's just meh for me.
Overall I would probably not re-buy, unless it was on super sale, or I got it overseas or something. It's too expensive for what it is.

Revlon Just Bitten Lip Stains are marker style lip stains with a clear lip balm attached to the end. Just Bitten is "kiss proof color with soft shine, meets a moisturizing balm for supreme comfort." These stains are available in 15 shades. I have the color Gothic, a bright red. Revlon products are not tested on animals. This stain was made in the USA, as are most Revlon products. I can't find the amount of product you get in each pen, actually Revlon barely offers any info on their product on their website. I purchased this stain on sale at Rite Aid for $4.99 on sale, but they usually retail between $8 and $12, depending on where you buy them. My local Rite Aid sells them for $10.99, so I scored quite a deal!
Just Bitten Lip Stains come in color coordinated tubes with loosely attached caps, which isn't good considering marker style lip stains already dry out easily. The name of the product, and the name of the color are written on the tube in silver lettering. It looks pretty nice. Once again, Revlon comes out with attractive packaging, specifically by drugstore standard. I really wish the caps were sturdier and stayed on better. I wouldn't suggest throwing this product into your purse or makeup bag unsupervised. I also wish Revlon would offer more product information on the tube and on the website.
The felt marker tip is well saturated with product and comes to a rounded tip. Not too conducive to drawing thin lines to line the lips, but because of the additional width you need fewer swipes to cover your lips. Application is easy, but Gothic can go on a bit uneven and needs two coats to be fully opaque, however it's no where near as sheer as most lip stains are. Some of the more active parts of your lips, such as the corner of your mouth may need extra coats to keep the color even. No matter how many coats you apply, the color will not show up even in close up flash photography. I learned that today while taking pictures for this post. It will appear even irl though, and that's what matters, at least on a daily basis.
The color of Gothic is kinda great, but it definitely doesn't suit the name. Gothic sounds like it would be a deep, plummy color or a blackened purple, or at least a deeper, more burgundy red. Gothic is actually a bright, almost blood red when first applied, that dries down to a more classic, red lip color. It leans just a little bit cool, but could be considered neutral. Obviously, like with most lip stains, the resulting color varies on the natural color of your lip. The swatch on my arm looks like a different color than how it appears on my lips.Gothic suits me really well, which is great because I tend to have a harder time pulling off red lips, because of my pink cheeks and nose. I, personally think it looks quite good on me, though Roommate makes hooker jokes, and mum says it's almost overwhelming. What do they know though?
The balm on the end is controversial. Not many people seem to like it. Lots of people say that their balm popped out or broke off the very first time they applied it. I have yet to have any issues with this balm, but it's also not anything to write home about. It's pretty much just regular chapstick stuck on to a lip stain. It's not really moisturizing, but it adds a nice shine to the matte stain.
Of the four lip stains I've tried, Just Bitten is probably the most comfortable. It's a little, tiny bit drying, but nothing the balm can't handle. Just Bitten feels weightless on the lips, which is great. I actually tend to forget to touch up sometimes. Oops.
On the subject of touching up, Revlon doesn't get very specific about how long their Just Bitten lip stains are supposed to wear. Good thing, because I don't get super wear from Gothic. Gothic fades in a patchy manner after 3 or so hours. The stain is still there, but it's no where near as bright red as when freshly applied.
Reapplying in public may draw you a few strange looks. I guess people just aren't used to a girl coloring in her lips with what appears to be a marker with a chapstick stuck on the end.
Revlon's Just Bitten stains are the first ones that I haven't noticed a slight artificial, fruity scent or taste, so if you have a scent sensitivity, consider choosing this stain.
I like Revlon's Just Bitten lip stain in Gothic. I like it equally as much as NYC's Smooch Proof Lip Stain. You won't get hours and hours of wear, unless you layer a lipstick over it; I really like to layer NYX's Sunflower over Gothic. I think the color of Gothic is lovely and a true classic. Good job Revlon, this is the kind of color yinz are good at making. I do think Gothic was a weird name choice for the color. Just Bitten lip stains are pretty pricey for what they are, and I would never pay full price for it, but they're a solid buy if you get the on sale or with a coupon, or better yet, both. I would repurchase this stain if I could get a deal on it. Though Just Bitten isn't a perfect lip stain, they're pretty dang good. Pick one up if you like stains or if any of the colors catch your eye.

I really like this product. I am very picky about my lip color because i want longevity, natural color, and hydration. Now usually, stains are not hydrating. This one, however, is great. I got the one in Dawn, a very natural color. It doesn't dry out my lips! It also blends and smooths over my lips very nicely. The only reason I took off a lippie is because it is quite expensive for drug store. (about 7 dollars) Also, the lip balm on the end is great, but there is no scent or color. Just a little bit of shine/buttery texture. I will repurchase.

Nice when it actually works. Really cruddy when it dries out quick, fast and in a hurry. A waste of cash, TBH.

I have two of these lip stains and overall like them for a soft pat on my lips, if I draw my lips in at all it looks horrid, and I look like a clown. This colors on the stains show lighter, but when putting them on are completely different colors for me, it might be my light skin tone or something but they just seem so dark and bright. I would buy these again if they came out with lighter colors more suiting to me. Other than the color thing I love the way they feel and work.

I bought this in 'Flame'. Cost me a little over $10. I absolutely loved the color, it was a bright orange red on me. The balm is really great as well. The packaging is really nice. Unfortunately, the stain itself doesn't last as long as I had hoped. I have tried a lot of Lipstains, this is probably the best out of them all, but still, there isn't enough balm to last you that long, cause the stain itself is very drying so you need to use a lot of the balm and keep reapplying. I kept using it solely for the shade cause I really loved the color, one tube of this stuff would last me about 2 weeks maybe less considering how much of the balm I needed to use. Then I found a lipstick that had a similar shade and decided to switch. I would have continued to use this if it wasn't so drying and if there was more balm to use. Overall, its good as far as Lipstains go, but for how much it cost, I would rather stick with Lipstick and Gloss.

I bought this product as an alternative to my CoverGirl Outlast Lipstain which had lasted me nearly two years, and Desire shade was similar enough to CoverGirl's Everbloom Kiss. That being said, I love the colour, it makes me look like I just ate a popsicle, and it's very fresh and natural-looking. I hate wearing lipstick, so this is just perfect.
I've heard people say that lipstains can be very drying, so it's good that Revlon decided to make it a 2-in-1 and include a lipbalm. That being said, mine broke off a couple weeks in, which is why I took a lippie off. (It's stuck in the cap, and I'm using what's left on the end of the stick/poking my finger in the balm stuck to the cap, which is not hygienic at all because I can see the accumulated grime -- yuck!)
The formula smells the same as CoverGirl's -- like cherry -- but unlike CoverGirl, it's also started to smell a bit funky. (Lipstains are obviously not the most hygienic products around as they're moist and you use them over and over again on what may be dirty lips!) Also, it's looking like it's not going to last me as long as my CoverGirl did -- I've only had this for a couple months and it's starting to dry out. Plus points for the colour and price, but if CoverGirl's on sale again I'm sticking to that one.
3/5

GREAT! The lip stain isn't too intense; it just gives you a nice flush of color that only adds to your natural lip shade. The balm is great too-nice feeling and not too glossy. I use it over all my lip products.
NOTE: You will be disappointed if you do not store it properly! Only on its side or stain end facing down. Anyone who is not satisfied either did this wrong or chose the wrong color.
I recommend this completely! (I did give packaging a two though cause I can't remember at all)

This is one product I regret buying.
First off, the balm to this breaks easily. It broke off when I was applying it. So that sucks.
Second, the lipstain itself dries out very quickly in the packaging. Plus it broke off too!
Color wise, I was satisfied. I forgot which one I got, but the color was great! I just wish it wasn't breakable. Maybe if the packaging changes, I'll give it a try again. But no. $10 gone to the trash.

I bought this in Twilight and really wish I hadn't. The colour seemed to sit unevenly along the centre of my lower lip, making my lips look dry and cracked - even with the balm. So my lower lip ended up looking darker than the top lip, it really looked as if I was wearing two different colours. Nice packaging and lovely colour, but it just isn't for me.

I bought this in Victorian when it was on sale at my local drug store. I like the idea of this product where they put lip stain and balm into one. Because lip stains usually dry lips out, the balm is suppose to help that problem.
The staying power is there for sure. I do not need to reapply during the day from 9-5 at work where I eat and drink. The color is a lovely pinky mauve so it really touches up on my natural lips. The stain dries out really fast and does not transfer to the surfaces where my lips touch.
The problem lies in the design of the product and somewhat in the formula. The balm cannot be twisted back so I am really careful when using it. The marker type of applicator can be tricky to use. I cannot apply it evenly and it is hard to tell how much product does the applicator deposit. The marker head also feels a bit dry out after a few uses. I hope it does not stop working.
The stain can easily settle into the lip lines if you do not have perfectly smooth and exfoliated lips. It also dries my lips during the day so I am forced to apply the balm every few hours. I tried to put one layer of lip balm first then the stain then the balm again. This seems to give me a better result in terms of dryness.
This is my first lip stain and I would like to try some other ones. I just think the product has much left to be desired. Unless I am really on the go, I probably would not repurchase this in the near future.

Review for Gothic.
A good idea in theory. No discernible taste or smell. The colour would look awesome if it wasn't so splotchy on my lips. No matter what, the colour on my upper lip was always lighter than that of the bottom one; reapplying seemed to do nothing. Any dry patches will turn out darker. The tip also dries out pretty quickly. A bit drying on the lips (the gloss doesn't stay on long), but that is kind of expected with lip stains. Glad that I got it cheaply in a Revlon gift box with a few other products and didn't pay full price.

I have this lipstain in Gothic, and I love it! I'd like to try Flame next.
I tried out the NYC lip stain and did not like it at all. I love the Revlon Stain because it comes with a moisturizing balm at the opposite end of the stain. When I apply one coat of this to my lips, if they aren't moist, it really absorbs the color and does not dry my lips out like some stains I've tried. And it stays on for a good while. Sometimes I'll apply this before liner and lipstick, just for extra staying power when eatin', drinkin' and smoochin'. This is awesome to pair with a clear gloss because it won't transfer if you allow it to dry completely between coats and before applying the gloss. I definitely recommend this.

This is the best lipstain ever, period. This product should have a 5.0 rating.
Longwear is most important to me when choosing lip colors. The color stays very bright for 4-5+ hours, and takes 8-10 hours to fade totally. And when it fades, it fades evenly.
It's not very drying. (I wear it every day and my lips are normally dry, but still soft and never chapped.) It's easy to define corners with the pen. And do you know that moist inside of your lower lip that lipsticks can't cover? This lipstain naturally fades into that spot so that I can smile without a clear line between where the stain ends and the inside of my mouth begins.
I wear both flame and passion. Passion is a natural, dark pink and makes my lips look freshly bitten and licked; and flame is a great everyday red.

I bought this in Victorian. The color, when applied with a light hand is beautiful! The staying power....not as impressive. It rubs off just as easily as a lipstick but seems to stay in my lip creases. It's not noticeable and it kind of looks like I just ate a sucker. Which isn't a bad look but for a product claiming to be a lip stain, it is a little misleading. It also seems to dry my lips out incredibly! Even with the balm on top, when it wears off, I find myself with really rough and dry lips just inside my lip line where I tend to apply it more liberally. I love the applicator, It makes lining the lips with a separate liner unnecessary. But I won't continue to use this because of the dryness.

Just Bitten Lipstain.
I have Passion and Frenzy. Both colors are beautiful. The smell is amazing. Staying power is great. However, the packaging is not very good. Frenzy leaks out a bit inside the package. Also, both are very drying. Definitively not for everyday use.

I purchased this product becuase I loved Covergirls lipstain, but it would dry out my lips. and this had a balm attached to it.
All I can say is ... whatever color you think you are... go 2 shades lighter. Everycolor is so intense that I had to go for a lighter color.
I took a dusty light purple color and it came out dark grape purple... not at all what I was looking for.
I wish they would of had testers, then it wouldn't have cost be so much to find the right color.
Over all. love the product, but it's too dark for me.

These are my go-tos for lip color, and I have about a dozen of them in every color. They really have long staying power, don't rub off too much (especially when kissing), and help accentuate the shape of my lips with clean lines. Really easy to apply fast in the morning, and they last virtually all day! I reapply if I'm going out at night. Can't go back to those thick lipsticks or glosses that feel so heavy compared to these! Please don't discontinue these, Revlon!

I think this is a good concept for a product, but I think the staying power of the formula and the packaging could be improved. I used Lust which is a nice mauvey beige color. I keep buying different brands of lipstains, hoping that they will last for several hours, but so far, no dice. Doing normal activities like talking and eating, this product fades quickly and needs to be reapplyed every hour. I like that it is a two sided product with the stain on one end and a balm on the other. You almost need a balm over it because stains can be slightly drying. However, I wish the balm was a twist up kind and not just a little stick placed on the end of the wand. When I opended it for the first time, it broke right off! I managed to stick it back on, but now I have to use it VERY carefully for fear of it falling off again. So not a big fan of the package design. Overall, this product is adequate, but needs improvement.
