I have to admit I haven't really touched this palette in a long time, because I got quite a few new make up products that I love since then.

Anyway, the last two days, I decided to pull out all my poor neglected make up sets to give them a go.

And, dare I say it, I realise I actually prefer this to my urban decay naked palette. Weirdly, this palette still works well on me even after having it for 2 years, the colour payoff and everything is still there. They go on perfectly for me and I don't get fall out of any kind.

Whereas my naked palette has totally died on me. All the shadows are really hard now and pretty much can't be used at all. I can't even get the tinest bit of colour out of them despite pressing my brush down hard and swiping a few times.

Back to coastal scents shadows for me I guess. :)

I'll be honest when I say that I have very little knowledge on eyeshadows. I rarely wear them and I probably only went out of the house wearing eyeshadow for like five times max my entire life. That's why I love this palette. It's super cheap and I can practice the looks at home before wearing them outside. I won't feel guilty playing with this palette because it's very budget-friendly! I think these earth-toned colours compliment my warm skin a lot, but would also be suitable for cool-toned ladies out there. Love it!

Got this for Christmas and have used it pretty much every day since! They are about dime-sized for color, but I think they will last quite a while. Great pigment, easy to blend - I'm having lots of fun trying different looks with all the colors!

Ohmygod I love love love this palette! I got it on sale for about $10. Like really, i just couldn't pass up the offer! The eyeshadows are really pigmented and soft. The whole palette has a variety of shimmer and matte eyeshadows and natural and dramatic eyeshadows. So basically, you could create any look with this palette! I use this just about every time i wear eyeshadow. Its really great and i totally recommend this!

Oh, 88 warm palette... what would I do without you? I've used this palette every single day since I received it in the mail. While the color payoff doesn't have a "wow" factor to it, it's still pretty good over the eye primer I use (UDPP). It has every color I could ever want, save for a couple peachy/orange colors that don't look good on me. Excellent product for the price, definitely a go-to when I'm in a rush to do my makeup.

I bought this palette against my better judgement, as most of the reviews were positive...but I should have gone with my gut and stayed away. I read all the reviews about the colors being highly pigmented, maybe I got a bad batch? The colors are beautiful in the palette and I was super excited, that is, till I tried to apply them. I tried everything. I tried using it with my best primers, my cream color bases, eye creams, no primer, nothing made it any better, not even using good brushes.. The color payoff was horrible, my shadows had hardly any pigment...and I was left with a wash of glitter from the shimmer shades, but hardly any color. Basically this palette covered my eyes/ face with chunks of sparkle...that's about it....it took about 10 minutes before the glitter storm transferred off my lids and onto everything else. it seems no matter what I do, it just doesn't work for me.
**on a side note, with the palette I received a sample packet of 4 eye shadows. The colors were horrendous BUT they were creamy, highly pigmented, and the payoff was good...which was strange considering I was sitting there with a palette of dry-ish, poorly pigmened eye shadows from the same manufacturer.

On a POSITIVE spin, Coastal Scents was a great business to deal with...the purchase was a breeze, shipping was fast and inexpensive, and communication during/after ordering was great! That's another reason I'm very sad this didn't work for me! I'm very gunshy about shopping there again due to the product quality my first time around...but the site was such a gem to deal with, Im probably not totally finished trying their products just yet!

I've owned this beautiful collection for 2 years now and it's my go-to e/s. There are so many colors that I've never been bored with it. As a matter of fact, I ended up buying my daughters their own palette! Bought one for my sister to and she loves it as much as I do.

When CS runs a sale, this makes a fabulous gift for any makeup geek!

I have not had any trouble with the pans falling out. The case is sturdy. I always use an eye shadow primer and the colors have great to good staying power.

I would have to say that for me, the only downside is the case is much to big to travel with.

Decidedly, I saw a deal for coastal scents, and I knew I had to swoop up the Warm and Original Matte palette!
This palette has a large array of neutral colors, and it is very good to try out some colors that you may not already have in your collection. I consider it best for that because the pots are very small, so it is like a lot of sample sizes! But, with so many colors, it should take a while to use them all.
I find that the shades are very pigmented, and while coastal scents does not make the palettes, my order came in very quickly, actually, it came in almost a whole week before I expected!
Also, watch for deals whenever buying these palettes, I got mine for an awesome deal!

I bought a generic 88 warm palette off of eBay, and it is the same product as the one from Coastal Scents. First thing I noticed is that there are too many white-ish highlight shades. Second thing I noticed while swatching the shadows is that these are really not pigmented. I then swatched again after putting on some primer, and the eyeshadows had very uneven application. They were powdery and the darkest browns still did not look pigmented. Most drugstore eyeshadows are better quality than these. I really, really wanted to like this palette because I love warm/neutral eyeshadows.
