This is one of my HG lotions. It helps my skin look and feel soft and smooth. I use it straight after shower or in and it's just amazing! It's a bit too greasy when you use it on dry skin for my taste though

Love this product. I noticed a few reviewers stated that it left their skin feeling greasy, but this may be because you only need a couple of small dots of this product. I have not had any problems with breakouts or rash of any kind. I use this on my legs right after I get out of the shower. I do not towel my legs off first, i apply a small amount to my damp skin which locks in the moisture. My skin feels wonderful after every use.

I have really dry legs, so I thought I'd try this since regular baby oil is so messy. It was too greasy, and after a few hours I developed DOZENS of tiny pimples on my lower legs. In the trash it went!

wow- i rarely review things like moisturizers & what not but a review for this was on one of the first pages & i was reading about how the woman used it & realized, wow- this really is amazing. i have two different kinds of this Baby Oil Gel but love them both!
=PRICE/AVAILABILITY=
Johnson & Johnson Baby Oil Gel is available in alot of places that i have seen. I have seen this available in mass stores like Walmart, Target as well as some drugstores like Walgreens, CVS, Rite Aid but also check out Family Dollar & Dollar General stores. thats where i found mine for a few cents less. Either way, this gel will not cost you too much esp for what you get bc it will last forever but i paid around $2. so its priced around $2-3. which is really cheap!
=FORMULA/PERFORMANCE=
I have two different formulas. I have one with purple lid which is Chamomile infused to it and also have a green one which is Aloe infused. Both have a stronger scent but isnt as strong once it wears into skin but a scent will linger. I love the aloe vera one for daytime if i need it and the Chamomile one for night shower use. They both or ill say all the scents & original scent- are pretty great but im sure you will find one that you will enjoy. As soon as i smell these, i know my skin is finally going to relax and feel good!
Ok the performance of the Baby Oil Gels are amazing! i have to say i have normal to dry skin. most of the time, my skin is extremely dry with occasional flares of eczema so i do have to be wary of what i slather on my skin bc its somewhat sensitive esp w/ eczema. So i was worried about throwing a whole bunch of a scented gel onto my skin esp when i have scratches (i know it sounds horrible but when im itchy, i cannot help it, its a relief until i realize i have scratched my skin open in a spot, this doesnt happen all the time, but i dont have insurance & cannot afford to go to doctor for further testing & more of my eczema medication) but this gel has been a lifesaver esp in harsh winter months but is great to use all year round. If you dont like the feel of anything on your skin, then you may not like this but i think the results will amaze you. The way i use this is how most do- after im done with the shower, i use this in there & squirt some on my hands & rub all over my body in THIN LAYERS. i dont like a whole but enough to provide a thin layer. i also sometimes put on a body souffle or body butter after & mix them together or glide them all over. These will be a tad sticky like for a few minutes so i finish w/ my hair & things & by that time, it has mostly sunken into my skin so i can throw my clothes on. I dont mind waiting for hydration :) My skin has never felt so smooth & im not actually going crazy this winter with really dry skin. I love it! Def great for most skin but beware those w/ sensitive skin- it doesnt bother mine but obviously test your skin first. I think both of the ones i own provide hydration & smooth & soft skin throughout the day. most lotions or creams feel good for a minute then i have to reapply- this almost holds it in at least 10x longer & also my bf loved the way it smells. he has given me a lot of compliments when i wear this bc every once & awhile you will get a slight wift of the scent. its not too strong but just right to me!
=PACKAGING=
The J&j Baby Oil Gel comes in a clear plastic container almost looks like new ketchup bottles meaning the top is on the bottom which makes it easy to squeeze out the gel- its not all sitting on the bottom. No shaking or tapping needed. The lid closure can be opened or snapped shut. ive read people have had problems w/ theirs leaking, mine hasnt done that so far but i only squeeze out a little at a time so it dont get all over lid. The lids are different colors depending on which formula you purchase. The packaging also has more info on the back & labeling & logo on the front. Its see thru so you can see how much gel you have left, i like that. i dont like guessing games. :) its not the prettiest bottle but it works for me. but if you do travel with this, maybe place it in a seperate plastic bag that is sealed so that way if anything happens to it, it wont ruin anything else bc really its a gel oil so it may stain, i havent had any problems with my clothing or carpets but do be careful!
Overall, this oil gel has saved my skin & i cannot believe it keeps getting better, my skin is very finicky & things will work then stop after so long but this is continuing to work & help so much. i def will repurchase & suggests at least trying this out. I love it! continued >>

this is a review for the gel oil which has chamomile in it. i find this stuff to be AMAZING. i am a body moisturiser freak...buy hundreds of different products and never stick to any. Now i love baby oil and probably prefer the smell of it to this but i find the oil gel to be longer lasting and you have less chance of breaking your neck in the shower as it doesnt spill out everywhere! i put this on all over while iv just turned off the shower, and my body feels so soft right until i next get a shower. this is so cheap yet in my opinion is nearly perfect for keeping your body soft. i hate feeling greasy thats really the only flaw but i put this stuff on at night so im too busy sleeping to notice!

I have the Aloe & Vit E. I never use this kinda of thing or anything with mineral oil in it but trying to save money this winter and not splurge on my normal Lavanila Body Butters (usually go through 3 tubes in the winter so about $75) I need some winter skin help on a budget this year and wow I am loving this. I first use my B&BW lotion and drizzle it all over my body and add a couple drops of this Oil Gel on each part of my body (2 on each arm, 3-4 on each leg, 1 on stomach and 1 on back) and mix it all up with my lotion and.........(drumroll).......... super soft, can't stop touching myself skin. I might do this every winter. It's that extra boost of moisture that the B&BW works is missing. and one tube is gonna last me the whole winter, take that Lavanila (yes I know u are better for me, but its your fault your to expensive) continued >>

I'm on my 2nd bottle. This has been great for my skin in the winter time. I use it while I'm still in the shower. I lightly towel dry and then put this on to help keep the moisture in. Works beautifully and my skin is super smooth. Love the shea and cocoa butter one!

I only use this to take off my eye-makeup. I was using regular baby oil but I found I was wasting a lot of product and it wasn't all that effective. The gel is awesome! I take a little drop and rub it into my lashes and eye and swipe with a tissue and everything comes off! Even waterproof makeup. This will always be in my bathroom. It also never leaves me with any greasiness or irritation. (I do wash my face after using it though)

Wow... I bought the cocoa butter version to moisturize after the shower after reading a whole bunch of good reviews. What a huge mistake. I only used it from the knees down - THANK GOD! (I use firming lotion for my thighs and butt since having a baby changed all that) At first, my skin felt really soft and silky and nice. But.. then....My SHINS broke out. and I mean like REALLY broke out. I didn't even know that was possible. I now have these huge crazy deep blemishes all over my lower legs. It is so so gross. It looks like I got attacked by some sort of rodent. I have a wedding coming up, looks like I'll be wearing pants? LOL. Sucks! It is so bad for me that I can't believe this hasn't happened to anyone else!? Wtf!? Ladies, stick with something non-comedogenic! Or if you are determined to use this, try it well before any events coming up where you'll be showing off your legs. I'm so bummed!

I use this as a make-up remover as well, not as moisturizer. I have the chamomile one. I always use oil(even olive oil) to remove my make-up, but the problem is of course you can't go to bed with olive oil on your face.
This is cheap, easy to find, doesn't sting, works great.
I bought the gel instead of the oil itself because it's 1) easy to carry
2) waste less product.

I was looking for something to give my legs a nice glow and this definitely did it. This baby oil gel keeps my legs smooth and silky, plus it smells nice. I love it. Will definitely buy again.

This is a great product. I usually purchase the cocoa butter one and it smells amazing. It really does moisturize my skin really well, and make it glow. I love for my skin to shine and glow, so this is a keeper for me.

I have used the cocoa, lavender and aloe. Like them all about the same. It leaves your skin silky all day. I use it at night because I think it is too oily for day. I like it on my thighs when I wear a skirt so they don't chaf. I use it on my feet almost every night. I never have dry, itchy skin with this and doesn't make my skin oiler in the summer (I live in Georgia). My only complaint is that the bottles don't stay shut all the time and I have ended up with oil on my wooden dresser. One bottle does last a long time and the price is good.

Such a great find! I noticed J&J products were on sale and was intrigued by this product. I grabbed the Shea Butter one figuring how bad could it be? Very very satisfied with this purchase!
It is so moisturizing. I feel as though it just locks in every last drop of moisture. I use it directly after a shower. I use a small amount not enough to make my legs feel slick or look shiny. Then I layer a lotion on top of it- I like St Ives Whipped Silk since its pretty thin. I do this so I don't have oil slick legs. My legs feel soft and silky for ever! If I didn't take a shower everyday I'm sure it would last a few days. I use this under my eyes occasionally too! It makes that area look and feel smooth, bright and awakened. Baby Oil Gell cures dry rough spots easily- just one application. Its helping a lot with my sunburned legs currently. I have also used it on my feet and toes for a cuticle oil. I always hated regular Baby Oil but love this! My skin doesn't look or feel as good if I use anything but this. continued >>

This is the most moisturizing stuff ever! I use it on wet skin, rinse, wipe rest with towel and my skin is perfectly moisturized!
I just have to be careful with wiping it as if I leave oily spot it will make my hair and/or clothes oily. One thing is really worrying for me-its all paraffin (mineral oil) I know it can clog pores badly... It didn't happen yet but I would prefer similar product but based on some non clogging oils-do you know any?
As for now I use it all the time and my skin was never better=) (I previusly used garnier, palmers, nivea etc)

I love this stuff.
I have the chamomile version, that doesn't smell as good as the aloe vera one does, however, i still like the 'baby' scent lingering on.
This stuff is amazing.
I bought it just because i forgot my baby oil back on a visit, and i cannot remove my mascara without a)this stuff, or b) coconut oil. Used to have my beloved Olay eye makeup remover, but this stuff is as excellent as that one in removing even the most stubborn waterproof mascara and false eyelash glue leftovers, that i simply cannot do it without it.
I don't like the fact that the typical baby oil is runny, being an...oil, and the eternally flawed packaging- the lid of the bottle is so sensitive i always end up breaking the 'hinge' (the joint) which is so darn thin!
Thus, i ended up purchasing this, since one drop is more consistent than a drop of oil, given the gel formulation; i love the thick yet light texture, the solid packaging (no leaking so far, if you close the lid properly), the duration (a little goes longer than with the classic BO) and the effect.
..always thought slathering my skin with baby oil was great, but a bit of a chore since i had it dripping all over; hard to get off your hands, especially since it's so runny, i feel like i could do better without the fuss that comes along with the liquid texture.
ever since i've started using this, no problemo. i do have to wet my skin in advance (my face, to make my mascara soften a bit), and also the cotton pad i'm using to remove the makeup, since the gel texture would be a tad sticky otherwise. The gel is very 'concentrated' if i can say so, one little drop being more than enough for both my eyes.
...aaand i have to concur to what other reviews have mentioned- it does make your skin softer than the oil, and i find it to be my most trustworthy 'body lotion'. no more shelling out for expensive crappy stuff that won't quench my skin's thirst and leave it baby soft. i know the petroleum doesn't nourish the skin but prevent moisture from leaving it; however, i find it better than 'forcing' my skin to drink up other substances that don't always work...so yep.
i also use it after waxing/silk epil-use, on my legs, arms, even inner thighs and on the upper lip (after taking a shower, of course). i find that blocking the moisture inside the skin right after an aggressive procedure makes the redness disappear much faster and lets my skin completely soft, non irritated and a bit more glowy.
definitely recommended, if you're one of those girls who don't really like to spend 30 minutes with a baby oil bottle in their dripping hands. very good on the go, comfortable to use, and much easier to carry (even in your bag!).
happy shopping!

I had been using this product for about 10 years and I absolutely loved it! So why the change? Well, after using coconut oil and not having the occasional back, leg, torso breakout - I figured it was probably the mineral oil in the gel.

I use this stuff to take off all of my makeup. It works like a dream, even with waterproof mascara, I use it in conjunction with a baby wipe, and then use a toner to remove residue. I have a friend that used to use baby oil to take off her makeup, but she got the gel when she realized it took off her mascara in half the time. I rarely lose lashes anymore, which I would do on a regular basis with other makeup removers. This is definitely my HG, and you really can't beat the price!
The only con I have is that it will leak out if you leave it lid down. I have to put it in a baggie when I travel, but it's a small price to pay.

My HG for almost everything. I use it as eye, face, body, feet, hand and lip moisturizer.(not in that order, LOL) Apply a light coat all over after shower. Pat with towel or tissue, if needed. Aloe is my favorite. The generic brands are exactly the same with this product IMO and even cheaper. No break outs and cured my itchy skin. I use retin A on my face, lips and eyes at night, wait 30 min or so, and put the oil gel on at least the eyes and lips to prevent overly dry skin. I keep at least 2 backups at all times!!! I cant wait to try the one with the yellow lid, but I cant see it being better than the aloe (green lid).

I love this stuff. I have the purple top (lavender scent) and use it right after I turn the water off in the shower. I have found that this is the only way (other than putting it on your feet with socks overnight) to avoid the greasy feeling. Once the water is off use small amounts and coat your body, then blot yourself with a towel and air dry. Wait a while before you put on clothes as I have heard it can stain. It is very moisturizing and gets rid of the itchy dry skin.
I really enjoy the smell, but if you don't, they do have multiple scents and unscented.
