I have combination/oily, acne-prone, sensitive skin with tonnes of acne scars and hyperpigmentation. Despite reading some of the negative reviews, I still went ahead and tried out Pond's Clarant B3 Normal to Oily Skin in hopes that it'll help fade my scars -- especially as it's inexpensive compared to other lightening cream. It went on very nicely. Slightly drying, but it gives a very nice, matte finish, which I loved. However, after a few days, my lower cheek and chin areas broke out in tiny pimples -- and my skin looked terribly bumpy and uneven. It did not get better until after I stopped using this cream. If you are very oily but NOT acne-prone, this would be a good product to try out.

Pros:
- It definitely has evened out my skin tone. My skin is very acne-prone and therefore I have a lot of hyper-pigmentation and this has really helped a lot. (I noticed a difference after about two weeks of use.)
- It comes with a LOT of product.
- It's a nice texture and easy to apply.
- It smells nice.
- Contrary to what many people said, this did not break me out. I have very sensitive, acne-prone skin so I was a little hesitant, but it worked out well for me!
- It's not super expensive and I've found it difficult to find a product that's in my budget that deals with this skin issue!
Cons:
- It's dry for something that says it's a moisturizer... so I use another actually moisturizing product on top of this!
- It really stings your eyes... just a warning.

I have combination skin and generally have really mild breakouts, if any. I had some acne marks and thought this would help.....dead wrong. I only used this once, and the next morning I had horrible cystic acne everywhere! It's been almost a week and my skin still hasn't cleared up :( I'm very upset and definitely will NEVER use this product again. For those wanting to try this product, use sparingly and have some serious acne fighters on hand.

So far I have been using this product religiously for almost a week and already my skin tone seems to be evening out. I love how it feels on my skin and the smell is amazing. At first I was worried that the fragrance in it would irritate my skin, but fortunately it didn't. If anything, it helped with the redness of a blemish to the point where the blemish left no scar at all!!! :) Also, I thought this wouldn't improve my makeup application and well to my surprise it did! This works wonders as a foundation base/primer. My foundation (Loreal True Match Compact Makeup) literally slides on ! So, I strongly believe this product lives up to what it says and I highly recommend.

i bought this about 4 days ago, and i ALREADY see a difference in my skin,
i have DARK acne scarring, that ive had since i was 11, ( yea, no one ever told me picking led to this -_- ) any who, ive tried every thing under the sun, except this, untill 4 days ago, i was strolling through my walmart, and saw an end cap of it marked waaaaayyy down ( to 1.50) so i figured eh why not give it a go, my skin can get no worse.
i am in absolute awe, ive been trying for 11 years, to get rid of this scarring, with everything and its been in my local drugstore all this time.
only thing,i think it may be breaking me out, but once the scarrings gone, i can get rid of the pimples :-) thank you ponds, for boosting my self esteem i am forever greatful
i am going to stock up for JIC and for my family and friends at that price lol

This is by far, the BEST moisterizer i've ever owned! I've spent so much money on trying to find a moisterizer for my oily, sensitive skin and nothing has worked, even my pricey Ole Henrickson brand doesnt come close to this product! My mom bought herself a huge pot of Normal to Dry skin and this came as a sample. She gave it to me to try. I instantly fell in love. it keeps oil at bay yet doesnt overdry my skin at all. It works amazing both in hot and humid weather and freezing cold, dry weather. It is light and allows my skin to breathe, has no harsh perfumes, dyes, or chemicals. And on top of that it visibly reduces post acne spots and scars! I cannot be more thrilled to put this on my face every morning before wearing makeup. The only problem is that its hard to find in stores! I'll have to keep searching because i'm halfway done with it and desperatly need some more. The only OTHER unfortunate thing is that it comes in a pot, meaning you have to dig your fingers into it exposing the cream to bacteria- for this reason i make sure to AWAYS thoroughly wash my hands and fingernails before and after scooping some product out. Definatly a wonderful product overall. Will repurchase over and over again! (As soon as i find a retailer that has it! ;) )

I bought this cream on 12/30/11, and I've been using it everyday since, twice a day, morning and night. I was looking for something that would fade my post-acne marks. So far it's been 10 days and there is only a LITTLE difference, but that might just a little of the the Ambi fade cream that I apply under it, lol.
I don't find it moisturizing to be completely honest, and it doesn't make my face baby-bottom soft, so I always feel the need to put on a thin layer of Clean&Clear Dual Action Moisturizer over it, (LOVE this product!!!)
I really don't like the packaging. This is my first time purchasing from Ponds and I found it intriguing that it was a tub as opposed to a bottle with a pump. I've found that I much prefer a bottle with a pump rather than dipping my finger in the tub to scoop up the cream.
It was pretty hard to find, and when I did find it it was about $13, and my budget is tight, I usually spend $9 and less on skin care products, but I really wanted this cream....
Would I buy it again? I'm not sure. I don't feel its doing much of anything. I'll check back in 3 weeks to update my review, see if there are any changes....
UPDATE: 2/1/12
Okay, so I'm still using this cream. I think I see a difference? Its so hard to tell lol. It might have faded my light acne scars because my face looks a tiny bit clearer. Did it even out my skintone? Somewhat, I guess, but it's still uneven. I only use this at night now, but once it's done, I'm not sure I'll be repurchasing. It's a good base for makeup though :)
UPDATE: 4/2/12
I've stopped using this cream a few weeks ago and threw it away today. Didn't help me at all :/ Disappointed, but I'm glad it's helpful to other people :) continued >>

I thought I had found my HG (oil-controlling and brightening) but this breaks me out. Must be the Myristic acid.

Ok, so my mom gave me a tub of this a while back cause she had no use for it (what a silly woman). It sat on my dresser for a while, then packed in boxes for another, then tumbled around in my van for another few months without me finding use for it.
One day my hubby was cleaning out a few boxes and there it was. He asked if it was to be thrown out, something told me : "nooooooo". So I kept it. It intrigues me a lil so I began to use it. I loved the way it made my face feel, smooth and tight. One day I saw I had run out of primer and decided to use this instead...OMG!!!!! FREAKING FANTABULOUS!!!!! I now use it as a primer as well...also...during the day I dab a few dabs here and there on top of my make up and seems to refresh it!!!! So yea...Imma repurchase!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!! I've been using this for 2-3 months and It is awesome! I have very acne prone skin, i cant wear foundation or use skin care with harsh chemicals like salicylic acid bc it gives me horrible horrible cystic acne (so painful) I always have had marks left over on my face since it's so sensitive. (if i even touch a zit i get red immediately! ) I was weary of this because it's much thicker than i am used to but it was on sale and came with a free trial size as well. it does not bother my acne prone skin at all. my skin looks better than ever! I really only break out around my period (I now only use noxzema to wash with) it really does help clear up old red acne marks!

I was looking through MUA for reviews on moisturizers because colder weather is just around the corner and my skin tends to get really dry during this time of year. I came across Ponds and I immediately had to take the chance to review this product.
I used this cream last fall and it seemed to fade my old acne scars. I can understand why they recommend using this as a make-up base because it has that type of feel after applying it. This cream doesn't feel think when you rub a small amount between your fingers but as soon as you start to apply it to your face it has a different affect. It felt thick but absorbed quickly, though for some reason, it made my skin look dull. It didn't give any kind of healthy glow whatsoever. Unfortunately, my pores are very sensitive to becoming clogged and this product definitely caused an excessive amount of whiteheads and cystic acne. It worked as a base but at the cost of causing havoc on my skin. I wouldn't doubt this product works for many people but I'm part of the few who's pores couldn't handle the thickness of this stuff.

PROS:
-didn't break me out
-evened out my skin tone
-brightened my face
-absorbs to skin quickly
-only need a dime size amt to cover entire face area
-keeps skin from getting oily
CONS:
-don't like the packaging that much bc you have to keep dippin your finger in
OVERALL:
I bought this cream in Mexico when I went to go visit family. I had used Ponds before when I was in middle school and it made my skin look flawless, very porcelain-doll like. I replaced this cream with a sunscreen during high school and when I started breaking out in college started using a moisturizer with salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide. Now that my acne has cleared, I was left with acne marks and after 4 weeks I notice a significant difference with how my skin looks. I need less foundation, less concealer, and I feel much more confident walking out the door with no makeup on. This cream is gonna last me a long time cuz I bought the biggest one. Very glad I purchased it.

When I first tried this product I automatically loved it. I liked that it didn't feel oily. Like regular lotions do. This formula is water based which is great for people with oily skin! I have oily skin and this product really works for me. I am on my second bottle and will continue to repurchase. Its 9 dollars per bottle for 7 oz and it's lasts a long time! Even if it seems a little pricey you really only need a quarter size amount for your entire face. I use it after I was my face before I go to bed and I don't wake up to oily skin even during the summer which is great. It is a dark spot corrector which I love and I did notice my skin more even toned and lighter.. I have dark spots around my mouth and I saw a difference. Recommended!!

This is a pretty good cream. It's great for people with oily skin, because somehow it seems to absorb excess oil and keep a matte look throughout the day, however if you're like me and exfoliate at night and need a more intensive moisturizer for nighttime, you may have to use something else. I noticed within minutes of the first application soaking into my skin that my skin looked brighter and more even, so I can't wait to see what it will do in the long run for my post acne marks and irritation. So far, no break outs, keeping my fingers crossed. Overall, a little overpriced, and I still wish Ponds would invest into making their creams into pumps instead of tubs (I hate dipping my fingers in, reminds me of a jar of mayo or something) but overall, good cream, great clean and subtle scent, and the infused vitamin B3 is great also.

Okay, this product i gave a 3 because it really does clear up your skin, it is an effective vanshing cream. It faded my post menstrual pimple marks in a couple of weeks, but it also lightened my skin too much. My beef with this is that it stung my skin something bad, don't know if it is the product or just me. As a moisturizer, not really, my skin felt extremely dry after applying and you can't use a lot because it will iritate ur skin. It is nice however, as a makeup base because it is mattifying. Will i buy this again no? do i rcommend this? mayb if your skin is not sensitive or if you are looking to fade a tan or just lighten up your skin in general.

I got a travel size at Target, price was $1.70 for 1.79 oz jar, which is pretty cheap. It's supposed to fade/whiten scars within 2-4 weeks, and I've used to for almost 5 weeks to give this moisturizer a good chance.
Basically, after 5 weeks, I do notice a difference in my skin. My skin looks more radiant and maybe the scars have lightened a tad, but not to the point where I can't see them. I still have to conceal them so....there's not that much difference. I feel like this product gets rid of dullness in your skin more than anything. The reason I don't really like this is that I'm pretty sure this is breaking me out. I wasn't breaking out as much before and have tried a couple of new products within these 5 weeks, but I still think it is this moisturizer that's ruining my skin. Pretty strong shampoo-y smell, pleasant but strong. I'd rather go with a whitening serum than using this.

I purchased this a couple of weeks ago at Target in the travel size product bins. I can't remember how much it was.. I think it was around $2 for a 1.75 oz tub. I thought it was a good price, and I like purchasing small sizes of products before I commit to purchasing huge tubs of things I'm not going to use. Anyway, it claims to even out skin tone in 2 weeks and reduces the appearance of dark spots in 4 weeks. The directions for use are: Apply daily to face & neck. For best results, apply in the morning as a base for makeup, and at night. So I've been using this morning and night and I can't really tell if it's evened out my skin tone, but my face does feel a lot softer and moisturized. I think it's a really great moisturizer to "quench" your skin.. that's not too heavy and not too light. I also really like the scent. I'll repurchase it for that reason alone - and the fact that it's so affordable. *********** EDIT: I withdrew this from my routine because I noticed two new blemishes and I suspected it was the culprit. After I withdrew it, I haven't had any new blemishes. I'm SO sad that it may of been this cream that did it b/c I love the smell & feel of it. I took off one lipstick :( continued >>

One of the better moisturizers you can find at the drugstores. I actually have the normal to dry skin moisturizer because I didn't know they had one targeted for oily skin. Although I have oily skin, this doesn't make me greasy. It's a light formula with a nice scent (kinda cucumber-ish?) There's a lot of product for only $8. Just keep in mind this product isn't going to work overnight. You have to apply it everyday for a couple months...which is what I did and I got great results. It has considerably lightened my dark spots and angry red spots leftover from blemishes. I really wish this came in a pump. I don't like putting my hands inside the container. Also, the top tends to come off easily. Maybe it's just mine? Everytime I travel, the top pops off! I ended up just scooping some out into a travel container. I should buy the small version I found at Target. Maybe I'll have better luck with that.

Day 2 and nothing negative to report. That's pretty good considering i had to stop using Olay's micro sculpting face cream after just one application because the scent lingered and gave me a headache. This has a mild scent to it that goes away minutes after application. whipped texture, melts into skin, keeps my skin matte. no breakouts, irritations or shine. pretty happy considering i paid $1.50 for a travel size of it at Target. I broke out badly after a few days of Korres honey and thyme face cream along with oiliness and enlarged pores. this corrected all that in 2 days. cystic like breakout is still around, but less red, decreased in size and less noticeable. overall, very happy with the purchase.

I just bought a sample jar of this from Target, and I love it!! It's soothing to me, and it isn't greasy, like some of the other creams I've tried in the past, and like one of you mentioned, it feels like it melts into your skin, and feels like its not even there.
The smell is yummy and a little bit goes a looooong way. So far so good!
