I am obsessed with LA Colors. Its one of my favorite brands & their shadows are their best product or even the top shadows ive ever tried!! theyre always Amazing! & Hypnotic is a great blue palette to have!
=PRICE/AVAILABILITY=
The LA Colors 6 color Metallic palette are available in some dollar stores like Dollar Tree or Dollar General for $1 or $1.50 each so theyre super affordable. I havent been able to find them as much as i use to so try to find them now!
=SHADE/FORMULA/PERFORMANCE=
The 6 color palettes are amazing quality. Some are a tad chalkier than others but they are all around great metallic finish soft shadows. They have little to no fallout! They apply & blend so well. These are super smooth & amazing quality for the price. alot better than maybelline or revlon shadows. Hypnotic is a great palette for those who love blues & grays. This palette makes a stricking smoky blue eye. There is dark or light shades to make any kind of blue smoky look. I know Katieab on youtube did a copycat look of the Guess ad w/ this palette & it looked fabulous! Ill describe the shadows from my view but they will of course look diff on diff skintones. I have cool toned super pale skin so most colors show up well on me.
Top row- left to right:
1st shade- white frosty shadow goes on a tad sheer but is great for inner corner tear duct or under brow for brightening affect looks like Mac White Frost less pigmented
2nd shade- A nice baby blue/ slightly teal shade kinda similiar to Mac Wonderling or Belle Azure
3rd shade- a sky blue w/ a purple undertone almost like Macs Tilt
Bottom Row:
1st shade- a charcoal gray shadow, not as dark as say Macs Knight Divine but still a nice dark shadow esp for crease work esp if like me, cant pull off dark black shades
2nd shade- this is the stunner shade, a showy darkened teal almost like Mac Deep Truth or Big T so alluring
3rd shade- this is the darkest of the palette so its a slightly darker charcoal gray black. great for outer v or smoky looks. like Mac Cloud Burst or Establishment
of course i gave Mac examples but dont go expecting awesome pigmentation or formula but for $1 for 6 shadows, these shadows are actually pigmented & nice & easy to use! love this palette esp since im normally petrified of blues but this palette makes it possible to get a nice alluring smoky blue/gray look. Id def suggests using a primer & to increase pigmentation & staying power- using a cream base- viola! you will have your look stay put & radiant for hours & hours.
=PACKAGING=
The 6 color palettes come in the standard cheap plastic square compact. The back is glossy black with a sticker w/logo & shade name. The lid is clear so you can see the shadows inside. The lid has the LA Colors logo but it may seem cheapo but it holds the shadows safely & securely which is what matters. The shadows are square pans in 2 rows of 3. The pans are a great size & hold alot of shadow so it will last so long! Its a great value for the $. The weight is 0.14oz/4gr. I love the shadows & the packaging isnt so bad either!
Overall, Hypnotic is a great palette to play around with color and these 6 pan palettes are really nice! love it! continued >>

Edit: I used a black base & then tried this, & wow! The colors look great. I haven't really used the top three light colors, but the the 3 darker colors on the bottom show up pretty well. & they last quite a while with a primer! For a dollar, this was a good deal! continued >>

I found a dead on dupe of MAC Birds and Berries it's the lower middle color it's a metallic blueish teal. The colors are very soft and pigmented, 5 of the 6 colors are metallic sheen and the last one the white is a matte. This is a blue palette great for blue/teal eye looks. Colors are easily blendable and makes a great nighttime look. I found this at my $1 store, at only a buck for a dead on MAC eyeshadow it's a steal.
Only con is the packaging looks cheap, what can you expect for a $1
