Love devotion provides a subtle peach tint to the lips, the color payoff is similar to a tinted balm rather than a sheer lipstick. I'm happy with my purchase although I wish the lipstick was a bit more pigmented.

This is a color I keep reaching for again and again. I enjoy a lot of the NARS sheer formulas and this is a favorite. After reading reviews I was a bit concerned that this color would not show up well (NC42), but it adds just the right amount of bright, springy color to my lips with one swipe. It's also easy to build the intensity. I wouldn't quite classify it as a neutral, but it's an office-friendly color. I highly recommend this lipstick!

I LOVE this lipstick. I was never a big lipstick wearer, but I saw this in TK Maxx for £7.99. Just saw the name and decided to take a risk on the shade. Figured I could always ebay it if I hated it!
Opened it up - gutted! It looks so orange, and I'm a bit ginger so figured this was never going to work. WRONG. So glad I tried it on my lips, as not only is it the most moisturising Lipstick I own (and I have a ton of MAC, Pupa, Illumasqua etc.) it's also a lovely light tint with lots of gloss.
It's now my most worn lipstick by a long shot!

If this had been an opaque coverage then it would've been worth it since the color is so beautiful: a medium tangerine/orange. In the tube it looks like a much muted creamy version of MAC's Morange but that's where the similarity ends. The color pay-off of Love Devotion is so sheer you might as well be wearing a slightly tinted lip balm. On my pigmented lips the color barely shows up, even with a few swipes. I can see this working better for someone who doesn't have pigmented lips because it will provide for a sheer wash of color. It has a very slight scent and no taste. It finishes off with a sheen but for $24, I'd rather just get a real cheap tinted lip balm that does the same thing.

I love this lipstick :3 Sheer guava colored, and very buildable to a nice light orangey coral red color on my lips. I'm a NC40, for reference, with olive undertones
love this lipstick. I bought this on a whim a while back, which is odd for me because usually i do research on makeup products before being sure to buy them.
this lipstick looks like a scary bright orange in the tube but i was so surprised at how sheer it is. VERY moisturizing and smooth i love it.
the first time i bought it i was a little disappointed because i found it to be sheer but then after building up the color and such, i grew to love this lipstick. try it out!

While this is quite sheer, once layered about 4 times on my pigmented lips it becomes a gorgeous orange based coral color that is very flattering on my tanned (Nars Barcelona is my closest match) olive skin. Def HG.

Love this. Though it's a bold orange stick but it gives me adorable coral lips. The texture is superb. Smooth to apply, great payoff and never drying out. Fair price for what the quality.

LOVE this lipstick. I saw it on my friend who lives in Paris and thought it was such a beautiful color. While one swipe is sheer, a couple of layers leaves a gorgeous color on my slightly pigmented lips (NC20) and fair skin. It is very moisturizing, great for dry lips, but does require touch ups through out the day.

"Surprisingly gorgeous" as my sister put it. I use 2 layers and it adds a nice coral-tangerine hint to my already pigmented lips. I like that it's sheer although it is a tad TOO sheer in 1 swipe. in 2-3 it's perfect for me. I wouldn't want this color too pigmented because I don't think I'd look good with tangerine lipstick. I'm not a cartoon. I guess it comes down to preference. Some girls might like the drama of bright, opaque tangerine, colored lips but I'm a subtle, simple girl and prefer colors that accent my lips and bring dimension, as this does. The color is special because it compliments my lips and brings out an orangey tone in my lips thats just "surprisingly gorgeous." That in combination with the texture, moisture, and wear make this a great l/s for me!

This color is so pretty in the tube but when you put it on it is so sheer you can hardly not even see it. I wish they would have made this formula true to the color in the tube.

I was really not impressed w/ LD. I am a big fan of NARS lippies because they are so smooth and decently pigmented however this lipstick fell short for me. It is suppose to be a sheer color but on my lips it just is too sheer. I don't think this would be a good lipstick for those with pigmented lips. Definately not a must have for me.

Beautiful color! Goes on smooth and is very silky never drying.

I have to agree while I love its smooth texture allowing for easy application, I want and need more color! I'm still experimenting with different liners or combining it with other darker colors to add more dimension otherwise, it is too sheer.

Love devotion caught my eye when I came across the new collection. I found it sharp in the tube but really sheer when applied on lips. The color is easy to go. I apply it without a mirror. It makes me look fresh and its good for summer. i do not think it is a must-buy, but get it if u got extra savings!

Got myself this on a recent shopping trip to Bangkok. A really nice warm, sheer coral with a touch of pink on me. I'm NC30, yellow/warm tones. Got myself a lot of Nars stuff there, so wasn't really interested in getting this due to its sheerness, but the SA looked so crushed, "but madam, it looks really nice on you, and madam it is a new colour madam...". (can't beat the Thais for their great hospitality!). So I crumbled and got this too, and am definitely happy I did! The colour is so warm and soft and...right! :)

Its a great color for summer. This color is not for everyone. If you have highly pigmented lips this color may not show up. I highly recommend that you fill your lips with a peach-nude liner before you put this on. When I used a lip liner, the color popped. Its like Barbarella with out looking too creamy. Definitely would buy again.

I bought this sight unseen. I just went by color swatches online. I have this coral lipstick obsession right now and I wanted something with a lot orange to it. I found this new on eBay for about $5 cheaper with shipping than if I bought it at Sephora- great start. I can't say enough about this color. It is very intense in the tube, but goes on very sheer. It gives you that little boost of color like you were just finished a popsicle. Every time I put it on I think of tropical fruit. I love it for the day, it really perks up my face and ads a bit of shine. The formula is very creamy just like all NARS lipsticks. I really think because of the sheerness that this color would be great for a wide range of skin tones.

I *love* this lip color. I was extremely hesitant at first and held back from purchasing it but I finally broke down and bought it... I'm so glad I did! Yes, it is super sheer, and those with very pigmented, rosy lips will probably not like it. My lips are pigmented, but not really rosy (more just dark), so Love Devotion actually adds a really pretty coral color to them. I do have to use more than just one swipe, but it gives a very lovely pretty coral/pink color to my lips. Will definitely repurchase!

I love this product, it's one of the few NARS lipsticks that I can say ticks alot of my boxes. I'll start with the positives:
- very creamy, moisturising formula. My lips are extremely dry but this is verging on a lipbalm rather than a true lipstick.
- colour is just dreamy. Lovely orange coral. Looks much brighter in the tube than it translates on the lips. It looks the bomb on my NC44 tone. Has a shine more from the creamy fomulation rather than the presence of any added shimmer.
Now onto my gripes:
- I wish the lipstick was a little bit more pigmented. It's very very sheer and combined with my pigmented lips I have to use quite a bit and reapply quite often. I use this with the Paloma Pure Sheer SPF Lip Treatment to enhance the colour.
- The price. This is not limited to just the Love Devotion but all NARS lipsticks.
I rated packaging as 4 because although I love NARS packaging it does not compare with lipsticks from Chanel.
Despite these gripes I will repurchase this lipstick.

Oooh, cooed me as I tried this on at Sephora today- the perfect nude tangerine soft coral all rolled into a beautiful sheer formula. It is the perfect nude for spring and summer. It's similar to the YSL gloss volupte in Lychee but more nudey and more versatile. It will also look great paired with a serious smokey eye or understated makeup at the office, because the slight coral makes it very feminine and romantic. So in love with it!
