To be frank, when i use this mask, i don't see much difference between before and after. My hair is above my shoulder, somewhat in good condition (I used to have very short hair and I'm growing it out) but i do dye them often AND i use my flat iron every day, so i need a good conditioner. I purchased this because of vitamin E and coconut oil. Well, it didn't do much. My hair is not much softer....Overall, i simply will not buy again. I left it for 20 minutes and it dried completely, it rinses well so at least i didn't spend 15 minutes head down in my bathtub trying to get rid of it. I let my hair dry naturally and....no difference. Disappointed.
Amazing. It has the consistency of thick, whipped pudding. It works wonders and smells great. I definitely have this on my shopping list!
I just want to say that after ONE application I love this pack! I know alot of people are on here with a few complaints but I can tell you what you guys did wrong. From my aunt being a hair stylist that specializes in natural black hair I know alot about hair as well. Okay so... this is a PROTEIN pack you need to still condition your hair with a deep conditioner once you rinse this out of your hair. I know alot of people were talking about they thought it was too much in one pack but the pack says one pack = one application. this makes my hair feel so soft and manageable after using this. I don't like the smell of coconuts at all but this is a very light smell that will linger for a few days. Along with my other hair regimens my hair is growing so long and healthy. #teamnatural
LOVE THESE!!! they last quite awhile, like 3 or 4 treatments on me, which is awesome. my hair doesn't feel a ton softer afterwards, but it feels noticeably stronger, which i like. it also looks healthier and is easier to style. will repurchase again and again.
After double processing my hair I knew I needed a protein treatment. I saw this at Target and grabbed it up at $1.50. Couldn't beat it if I tried. I used half a pack on my shoulder lenghth, towel-dried hair. Bagged and wrapped in a towel for 30 minutes. This stuff smells like vacation. Coconutty and yummy. The smell lingers after dried. Now, yes, this is a deep conditioning treatment. But like with every other protein treatment you will need to use at least a daily conditioner afterwards. Rinse well. Apply conditioner and taa-daa! Beautiful, healthy hair. (Yes! I can claim that after four bleachings to get my level 6 hair to a level 9.)
I relax my hair and generally tend to stretch out my relaxer for 3-4 months at a time. So I deal with two textures (relaxed and my natural textures which is a mix of 3b - 4a) I was experimenting with my regimen when my hair started to break and feel dry and crunchy. So I saw this product and purchased for $1.62. I shampooed my hair, added only half of the product from tip to roots, left in for 20 minutes and rinsed out. I then deep conditioned with a separate product and sat under a hooded dryer for 30 minutes. After regular styling, my hair is no longer crunchy/dry feeling and is not breaking from styling. This product contains protein so if after you rinse it out and your hair feels hard (which is a good thing - means your hair has been strengthened), you need to moisturize with a deep conditioner (so it won't break from lack of moisture). It smells great, is readily available, cheap, and effective. I highly recommend and will repurchase myself.
Okay, for $1.49, I can't complain toooo much...but this "deep conditioning" pack made my hair look terrible. I have very thick/coarse, curly, long hair. I applied the conditioner per package directions, waited 30 minutes, rinsed, and then let my hair air dry. A few hours later, my hair looked MORE frizzy, fuzzy, and just plain dry than when I use my regular conditioner!! Seriously. A coconut oil deep conditioner that made my hair look like I stuck my finger in an electrical outlet. What the heck.
i LOVE the smell of this, but unfortunately it doesn't do much for my hair. it leaves my hair silky, but that's about it. for the price, i'd rather buy a jar of another Palmers hair product, which will last me for ages compared to only twice.
I have mixed feelings on this deep conditioner. I didn't find it conditioned that deeply. It just kind of felt like some of my older more "siliconey" daily conditioners I used to use on a regular basis...Which is kind of nice on occasion as I do miss that super slick slip when I rinse out my daily conditioner as I (usually) avoid sulfates & silicones these days. I can say though, that the next day when I styled my hair, it appeared shinier and it did not get greasy at the end of the day, which I was happy about because sometimes with silicone based or heavy conditioners if I put them near my scalp, my fine hair is weighed down and gets stringy by the end of day 1. The other positive of this product is the smell. I did not really like the scent when I applied it in the shower...But the next day and the day after that, my hair smells FANTASTIC. Literally, I saw my sister that day and she repeatedly stuck her face in my hair and inhaled deeply because the scent I was originally unsure about had become a gorgeous coconutty scent that stuck very well. Yummy. The packaging sucks especially because I can get three uses out of one pack but have no way to close it up for future uses, but whatever. Overall this is not that impressive, not the best deep conditioner I've used. But I would repurchase sometime probably months down the road, for the softness and the scent, just as a fun cheap treat.
I hated this product. It's a lot like Bed Head's Resurrection conditioner. Both leave your hair pretty parched. Well at least mine that was severely damaged at the time from bleaching. I hate how this gives you quite a bit of product, if your like me with shortish hair, but the pouch has no way to close to save what is left over.
