I am still semi-hunting around for my HG cleanser, but Berry Fruit Bar is doing a pretty good job at the moment. It doesn't make my skin breakout or react poorly, and that's sort of a miracle because LOTS of skin products do! It is slightly drying though. If I were to wash my face with this bar and leave it, my skin would look dry. But it does seem to remove everything and rinses clean, so at the moment I feel like I can't have everything. Maybe someday!

Never in a million years did I ever think I would use a bar cleanser. I thought it would be drying and leave my face feeling taut and stripped. But b/c of many positive reviews my curiosity got the best of me and I decided to give the Berry bar a try. I have seen such an improvement in my acne prone-cimbination-little sensitive skin. No more breakout, smooth glowing skin. This bar foams up nice, deep cleans without stripping and rinses clean leaving no residue. Did I mention it also smells good?

Ouch! I hate to be a party-pooper, and I'm very glad that the other reviewers found something to help their skin so much, but my experience with the berry bar was quite different. I tried the bar on three separate occasions, excited by the prospect of something that would work for my sensitive skin and the fact that I couldn't find one negative review on this. Each time I tried it, by the second day, I developed whiteheads (something I usually just don't get). Hoping that my skin was merely purging, I continued to use the soap. By the next few days in each trial, my skin had turned into bumpy, bright red sandpaper, and my face felt like it had the worst sunburn I had ever gotten (it's winter and I have been staying inside). I guess everyone's skin is different, and I admit that mine is sensitive, but this was one of the least friendly cleansers I've ever tried. Usually I stop a product experiment because I don't like the way my skin looks and/or I experience mild discomfort. This is one of a very few products that I stopped using because I just couldn't take the burning. I am surprised this is recommended for sensitive skin. Even though it's all-natural, the bar is very, very fragrant; I wonder if this has something to do with the problems it caused me.

This bar smells good and comes in a nice little jar for storage. It does a great job of taking off my make up and cleaning out my pores without drying my skin or causing any sensitive reactions. I started out with the toner tea bar in the summer, but had to switch to this bar when winter hit because my skin gets very dry in the winter. I can't say enough about arcona products. My skin has never looked better. I do notice that the Berry fruit bar is a little bit softer then the Toner tea bar, so I have to be very careful not to close the lid on the jar when the bar is still wet. I like the idea of cutting the bar in half or quarters like some of the other reviewers wrote for it to last longer! I'm definately going to try that. This is a fantastic facial cleanser and definately worth the money.

I love this soap! After reading it about it on truthinaging.com and having it recommended to me by Barbi here on MUA, I bought it. I had actually thought about purchasing this for over 3 years and held back because of its bar form! I wish that I wouldn't have waited so long! It cleanses well and removes all my makeup. I am amazed how clear Arcona's soap (I alternate with the Raspberry Acne Bar now too because it has salicylic acid to keep my skin super clear) has cleared my skin. I had some blackheads around my nose and they are gone. i am really impressed.

I tried this along with Arcona's Magic White Ice after being recommended by BarbiH. (She Rocks)
At first, I was turned off by the price. $38 for a bar of soap? But, I was told that one bar will last approx 9 months. So I figured that I wouldn't think twice about a liquid cleanser that lasts 9 months at that price, so I gave it a try.
This is really a wonderful cleanser. I use twice daily and find it very comforting to my super sensitive/SD prone skin.
The "bar" comes wrapped and in it's own travel style container. It's about the size of a hockey puck. I use my hands for now to lather up and wash my face. It cleans without tightness and it's gentle enough not to harm my eyelids where my SD is the worst. I keep this in my shower, in it's original packaging minus the cover. I keep it tilted upright in the dish so it will stay dry.
Along with the Magic White Ice, I am a believer. I plan to try other Arcona products soon.

I've been using Arcona's Berry Fruit Bar for almost a year. I think it's definitely changed my sensitive skin from within. I was using the whole Arcona line for sensitive skin so that might have had something to do with it but I just love this face wash. It smells lovely but not overpowering, foams up nicely but never drying, and washes away all my makeup (I don't wear much though). I love that it's all natural and I'm not putting harsh chemicals on my skin to cleanse it. Arcona products ARE expensive and I've toyed with the idea of finding other products that are cheaper. The Berry Fruit Bar is one product, however, that I won't be replacing. It's worth the money. Oh and the fact that it's a bar might be a turn off to some, but I cut it in quarters, so it's easier to hold and lasts SO long. It's great to travel with, too, because there's no airport restrictions on bar soaps.

I don't have a ton to say on this. I have been using Arcona cleansing bars for almost three years now, which means one bar lasts about 9 months if you just use it once a day, which takes the pain out of the $38 price tag.
Accidentally got the raspberry blemish one last time which did not work as well for me, especially since I don't have a problem with acne, and the Berry bar is geared more towards normal/sensitive .
I cut them in half as it makes it easier to hold on to than a round shape, and it probably lasts longer than having the whole thing in use at once if you use it in the shower as I do. It does come with a plastic container with a lid but I have never thought dropping a wet soap into a jar and trying to get it out very fun.
I was not so sure how great it was until I ran out last month, thought I had half a bar in storage but nope. Have been using high quality products since then but my skin just hasn't been looking as good, looking forward to my new one arriving this week.
The scent is pleasant, it foams up well, and this is one of several items from Arcona that I really love.

According to Arcona, this Berry bar is for "Normal and Sensitive Skin Types -
Soothing antioxidant facial cleanser gently nourishes and strengthens without irritating compromised skin. Neutralize free radicals with raspberry and cranberry extracts rich in vitamin C. Rebuild skin's natural barrier with berry enzymes that strengthen delicate skin. Calm and hydrate skin, without clogging sensitive pores, with white tea and vitamin E." I'm not sure what I think yet.....seems quite nice. But I think I'd only use it in the AM. Not sure it would be effective enough for my skin (SD-prone) in the evening when I need something that can efficiently remove cellular buildup and debris. One plus is that the cranberry and raspberry extracts seem to help control my eyebrow and upper eyelid SD issues. I will update at a later date.
