I have the pink revlon perfect heat ceramic iron.. it was like 20 bucks. I got it from a local store called Drug Emporium. For the money its a really good buy. It glides smoothly, doesnt snag my hair, leaves it shiny and i love that i can control the heat; unlike most lower end flat irons the heat settings usually cant be controlled... the heat settings go from 1-25.. I am a woman of color, and I have thick frizzy hair. When I used the iron I set it b/w 15-20.. and it still did a good job.
Con's:
*The on/off knob is a little hard for me to twist. I wear my nails long and its hard to turn
*The iron can get a little hot on the outside & if you hold it in the wrong place it may singe your hand a little..doesnt really bother me though..just have to adjust to it
So i'd definitely recommend it, if you want a half decent iron for as little money as possible continued >>

I just got this yesterday to replace my HerStyler(which I hated, and which is up for swap now), and so far I love it. I have no complaints about it at all. The price was right- $20 at ULTA- and it came with a travel mini-iron, which I've been wanting for a while. It heats up fast & I don't have to turn it all the way up for it to work. It works as well or better than the HerStyler, it straightens my hair without burning it, which is more than I can say for the HS. I like the handle, it's a bit fatter than the plates & has thumb-grips. It's a lot more comfortable to use than my HS was, I don't get hand cramps after 5 minutes anymore, and the handle doesn't heat up & burn my hands. All in all, I'm very happy with this iron, and I'll update with any changes. continued >>
