I used Lumeneís eye shadows many many years ago (when I didn't know any better)... Well, Lumene has re-formulated all their make-up products since along with the eye shadows, which is now called Arctic Duet Mineral Eyeshadow. Lumene has jumped on board the mineral craze. Actually, almost all their colour cosmetics cases seem to contain that word.. Apparently, the "mineral" part in the formulation is "Arctic Amethyst", which is supposed to condition and protect the thin eyelid skin. To me, that's just marketing.

The eye shadow seemed quite promising. The blue case looks nice and fresh, like the Lumene brand itself, but isnít very glamorous. I picked the shade #7 Autumn Nights, which looks absolutely beautiful in the case! (FYI, one thing I love about Lumeneís make-up is the shade names). Autumn Nights duo consists of two mauve shades, one light one dark, and both matte, just like I prefer. However, the texture is slightly too dry and chalky for smooth application... The result is beautifully natural, nevertheless, but you can skip these if youíre looking for a heavily-pigmented eye shadow. It stays put pretty well too, but the chalky application leaves me disappointed. All in all, Lumene didnít get it 100% right this time either...
