This is by far the best foundation I have ever used. It has light to medium coverage and leaves a nice smooth natural looking finish. My favorite part of this foundation is that it leaves my skin in better condition with every use. My skin is smoother and brighter and more moisturized. Also it's on sale at Shoppers for 16.99. I hope they don't plan on discontinuing but just in case I'm going to stock up. HG foundation

Love this foundation. My face looks pale when I first apply it (like a blank canvas) but after applying some blush my skin looks lovely. I find it wears well with my oil-free moisturizer underneath. Great product - will continue to repurchase.

I feel like I've been on the hunt for the perfect foundation for years. In my teens I had very oily, acne prone skin but now that I'm in my twenties I find it is very dry and sensitive. I usually hate liquid foundations but this stuff is AMAZING. It makes my skin look glowing and moisturized and lets it breath. I usually use a bit of concealer underneath for my problem areas (dark circles, redness) and I find that the foundation gives me a flawless finish. I do use a Laura Mercier setting powder overtop which helps it last longer. This is my favourite foundation EVER.

I'm now on my 4th tube of this foundation and have probably been using it for over a year now. I had oily acne prone skin all through my teens and in my early twenties my skin has become dry and sensitive, while still prone to the odd blemish. I also have some acne scarring on my cheeks that isn't too bad that is troublesome to cover up without looking cakey. This foundation doesn't make me break out, moisturizes my skin pretty well (I use body shop vitamin e intense moisturizing cream) and evens out my complexion quite well. It certainly doesn't perfectly cover all of the redness from the scarring, and it doesn't cover fresh blemishes, but it does do a decent job on under eye circles and it evens out the skin very well, overall. I use this in ivory 23 in combination with MAC studio finish concealer in nw20 and the two blend pretty well to give me even, natural looking skin that isn't freakishly perfect. I find this foundation to be incredibly blendable and has worked on 4 or 5 of my friends when I've done their makeup for fun. Everyone that I've used it on comments on how well it stays on for a night out, and also how nice it feels on the skin (note: most of my friends are not really into makeup and don't usually use foundation). I have applied this with a foundation brush, with a sponge and with my fingers and I find it works quite well regardless of the type of applier I use. My only concern with this foundation is that it can get cakey if you don't powder it carefully or with the use of primer. I find that I have to powder with a sponge and then blend that out with a powder brush as applying powder directly with a brush can make the foundation look cakey on my skin. I use smashbox photo finish when going out for a night and I have to be careful applying this foundation over that as it can look cakey at first, but after about 30 minutes it settles quite nicely. Overall, an excellent every day, go-to foundation.

Finally, something that will not break out my hypersensitive acne prone skin and actually seems to make it better! I do have another foundation that is gentle enough for my sensitive skin (Dr Eckstein Make Up Perfect) but I hate glass bottles, as I tend to lug around my foundation for touch-ups. That was partly the reason why I went crazy over bb creams, but they all broke me out :( However the tube of this foundation is very travel -friendly. I got mine in Ivory 23 (Im NC25) and when you first put it on its NC20, but after a few minutes it settles nicely into NC25, which is perfect! POSSIBLE HG!!!

PROS
medium to full coverage
looks very natural after it has set in
doesn't break me out or irritate my skin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
shade suits my nc25 skin quite well
seems to be improving my skin! :)

CONS
can accentuate a liiittttle bit of flakies on my dry skin if I dont moisturize well, but it tends to go away after a while (not sure how that works, maybe my skin's just weird)

I rated this 4, but I'm not buying again. I rated it highly because it's extremely gentle and quite hydrating for sensitive skin. It's ideal for people looking for natural coverage and a decent SPF. The reasons why I'm not using this product anymore are:
- I have quite a lot of redness in my skin and this just doesn't cover enough. I used to put on quite a decent blob of this but in a few hours almost all of this had worn of.
- I would advise using a blusher/bronzer when using this product: this foundation has (I think due to the minerals and the sunscreen) a tendency to make the face look a bit chalky and grayish. Nothing major, but it is worth considering.

Really unsure as to why this has received so many good reviews.
It is an AWFUL foundation for dry skin- which what it claims to be for..
Accentuates any dry areas/ settles into even the smallest of pores
The colour range is also very limited and completely not worth the money
Did not feel hydrating on the skin yet after a few hours caked while also looking oily in areas at the same time?! Woah. not good. Really wish I hadn't been so swayed by the positive reviews on here

This foundation is amazing! It comes in a normal/combo and dry skin type formula. I have moderate acne and oily sensitive skin. It breaks out easy so I was happy that this did not break me out. It covers flawlessly and makes my skin near perfect(used with primer). It stays on great for hours and even stays on while swimming and sweating. It is about $30 so the price is not awful but not amazing but it is well worth it. The only warning I have about this foundation is you must carefully pick your right colour. Go to the store and test a few colours on your skin and let the foundation dry and sit for about 15 min or as long as you can. This stuff seems to change colour on your skin after a bit but can be avoided if you wait to see how it dries. That's my only complaint. I wish they had more colours to pick from as well. I couldn't afford a new colour so in the meantime I found blending it with some water or mineral setting mist does the trick. Overall though it is the best foundation I have ever used and I have used 30+ different kinds. Will buy again!

I'm Nc35-ish and wear #35 Sand in this. It is slightly lighter than my skin but not obviously so. I'm really surprised with this, since it is a cream foundation for dry skin and I don't have dry skin! Oil control is surprisingly good for a moisturising foundation. It has medium coverage but looks very natural, like really good skin, and lasts for a good 8 - 10 hours. I love that it is supposed to be good for your skin and has the bonus of having SPF20 protection. Have used it for a few days with no adverse effects. None of that itchiness and dryness at the end of the day with other foundations. Will definitely continue to use this, so please don't discontinue it!!!

First off, I decided to try this foundation after reading the Letz Makeup website/blog. The owner of that site, Siobhán, has the same skin tone, hair color, and eye color as me... so I figured that she would be the best person to follow regarding makeup advice, and now I am quite glad that I decided to try the Vichy Aera Teint Pure Cream foundation (Opal #12). So thank you Siobhán!

Okay, so onto my review. First of all I LOVE THIS SHADE! More than anything else, I have to say, I am on CLOUD NINE with that aspect! I have been struggling to find my shade... since forever! I am quite fair skinned (with a tendency to redness when I over-exfoliate and let my skin dry out to zap those zits!) but I've always been concerned with looking look pale or washed out so for many many years I opted for this or that shade, testing them all out, covering the entire spectrum of department store brands. Man, I have a lot of used and half-used foundation bottles sitting around the house! Okay, so for all you fair-skinned beauties out there, do give this line a try. As other reviewers have pointed out, you may want to try the lightest shade (Opal #12) and mix it with the second lightest shade (would that be Ivory?? I'm not sure) to get the exact shade you are seeking. At present I'm quite happy with Opal but for days when I want more color, mixing might be the answer. But so far, so very good! :-)

Now, upon application I was really impressed with how breathable and blendable this makeup is. I got to say, I am someone who struggles with applying foundation evenly sometimes, so it was very refreshing to take a small drop and find that not only does it cover very well, but glides right on, making the application process easy-peasy! As a side note: Some days I prefer to use a makeup sponge to apply makeup and other days I prefer a makeup brush. It all depends... but because of problems with redness, I usually stick with a sponge. Another side note: I hate makeup that gets sucked up by the sponge... I don't really think this is avoidable, but perhaps I am missing something??? So tomorrow I am going to try applying this foundation using a sponge, as the last few times I applied this foundation, it was with a makeup brush.

Lastly, I am happy with the packaging. I have zero complaints. However, I do want to quickly point out that for those ladies who prefer a pump - you probably want to go with the fluid version. Mine is the cream foundation for dry skin and comes without a pump.

And that's that... I will continue to seek out this foundation at sale price. I paid $21 Canadian for this at a local Shoppers Drug Mart but I understand it is normally $27 or more. Very penny counts, so watch for those deals! But for now, it appears that this is my new every-day makeup!
