I love this, it's a good budget iron. I purchased the 1 1/2 barrel and it gives me soft waves without heavy ringlets. I find it difficult curling my hair so I'm really pleased with it. It's quite simple to use too, there's an on and off switch and five different heat settings. The heat settings are supposed to correlate with what type of hair you have but if you look at the instruction manual it tells you the temperature for each setting. My favorite is the swivel cord, it doesn't tangle while I'm curling so its less frustration. I wasn't too sold with the packaging. The inner box slides out like a drawer so it's easy to open but I nearly dropped the iron when I pulled it from the shelf. Makes me wonder if other people dropped this iron before I purchased it. It does make storage easy though. My other concern with my iron is whether or not this is solid ceramic or ceramic plated. I'm sure its ceramic plated though, since its around a good 30 dollars depending on where you buy this from. I'd like to look at some of the smaller curling irons too.

I've never owned a curling and I was thinking I wanted one after watching a bunch of hair tutorials on YT. I got this in the 1" since it seemed a 1" is a versatile-sized barrel. I can't compare it to a Hot Tools or something similar, but I am really pleased with this curling iron. It heats up pretty quickly, it has a ceramic barrel, there are different heat settings, it's not expensive, and my curls hold beautifully. There aren't actual degrees for the heat settings, but instead are defined by type of hair - fine, thin, normal, thick, and coarse. I believe the instruction manual gives the actual degrees for each setting if you need to know. I don't think I'll need to buy another since this iron seems pretty sturdy to me, but if it broke because of an accident or something, I'd buy it again.
