If you're light to light-medium skinned, this is one of those buttery, matte "nude" colors (i.e. probably will disappear on your eyelid) that's useful for a neutral eye or for blending out your other eyeshadow colors. I use it pretty much every day to tone down the edges of my colored eyeshadows or to mattify my eyelids (since I have oily lids). You only need one swipe of the product on your brush to cover one whole eye.

Like all the new Wet n Wild eyeshadows, this one is super buttery and pigmented. I have a tendancy to go through it quickly because it's soft and has a tendancy to crumble / break if you're not gentle with it. (I've broken one or two already just by dropping or tapping it against something.) For the super cheap price though, this quality e/s is unbeatable. I highly recommend it for everyone, regardless of whether you wear 'natural' e/s or colorful e/s. It's a very versatile product.

I bought this eyeshadow quite a while ago, so I think I've gotten a pretty good sense of how well this works for me.
When I first opened the packaging (which felt quite cheap but was light I guess?) I was impressed by how buttery the eyeshadow was. It spread and blended easily and was quite opaque with just one swipe.
I bought it initially planning to use as a undereye concealer/to even out the discolouration from veins on my eyelids and I think it works pretty well for the latter purpose. However, while it covers them completely and is a pretty good match for my skintone, I find it just a wee bit too light, thus making the area look ashy. As an undereye concealer, this would be a good option for those with light skin and undereye circles. It worked pretty well towards the beginning of my school term but as I had to stay up later and later to finish assignments and *ahem* cram for exams it became less effective. It works as a great setting powder for similarly coloured cream/liquid concealers though!
I just started wearing coloured eyeshadows and I think this is a great brow highlight colour/transition colour/base colour as well. Simply put, it's a multi-tasker, a miracle worker, an amazing eyeshadow! And all for a really great price too (about $2-3 CAD at Walmart)!
While this is a great colour, it gets one lippie of for looking a bit ashy at times. I would still repurchase (especially at this price point) though!

Wow! I wasn't really expecting much for the price, but what I got was a gorgeous matte beige eyeshadow with excellent coverage. Unlike many other (often much pricier) skin-tone eyeshadows, I did not have to keep layering the product on to get an ample amount - just a few swipes and I'm done! Lasts all day with no creasing. I plan to purchase several of these.

i use this as an all over eyelid powder base. It evens out any redness my lids may have. Also helps with the oiliness and prevents creasing. Smooth eyeshadow not chalky. nice under eyebrow highlight when I have a tan.

After reading the reviews for this I went out and bought it when CVS had it 2/$3. When you see that it's matte - it's matte, but it does work nicely when you want a little bit more of a finished look without looking overly made up. For the reviewer who said she dabs a bit over a few spots and it sets them, you're right. I use Lancome's Dual Finish to do the same thing and it comes in a wide range of colors. Definitely a trick worth trying.
I will probably back for more of this. The packaging could be better but for $1.50, what else could you want ?!?!?

Prefect highlight color! This is a soft creme color and it's matte. It's also affordable. No complaints here! I'd definitely buy again.

The only good thing about this is the price $1.99 for retail but I paid $0.98 for mine and that it is matte. It was very chalky. It also came off as a pale yellow color on me I pale with cool undertones. I did not find it hard to open but it was agravating to though. Also mine crumble within three days of useage w/o me fropping it or nicking it and I had to throw it away. I will not be repurchasing this e/s.

I'm on my second one. I use this in my everyday routine under my brow and if there is a lot of redness on my lids I'll put it all over.
I don't know how, but both of them have shattered without falling or getting hit by anything. I think it's because the plastic clasp in the packaging is too hard to open and close and that's what makes it shatter. I recently did something I read in an article: if you take the broken eye shadow -pulverize it- and mix it with a little rubbing alcohol and re-pot it it will hold (and it does!). I also shaved off (x-acto knife) half of the plastic edge that holds the lid (the black plastic part) and it makes it a lot easier to open/close.

As others have said, this is such a great matte highlight when you don't want any shimmer. I have pretty fair skin so this is also a good colour for me to clean up around other colours and blend out if I use it lightly. Something I do hate about it though is the packaging, once I close it, it's nearly impossible to re-open so I leave it a little bit open so I don't have that problem. Other than that, it does a great job for me.

Because of so many good reviews, I bought it and give it a shot.
However I don't get it why this has such a good reviews.
it looks so dull on the eyelid. Color is not great even it is cheep, I rather stick to my mac blank eyeshadow as my highlighter

This is my fav WnW e/s. I use this anytime i put e/s on as my upper lid "highlight". It evens out my skin tone & hides any veins or redness. The price is super cheap, i hope they never DC this! This is one of the few if not the only e/s ive given a rating of 5 to. continued >>

excellant. i love a bare-looking lid for myself, and if not bare, subtle and neutral toned - dont want frost or glitter, though i love it on other people, dont want chalky (aging), disappearing, transparent etc. this is just the right shade and texture to cover without cake and stay put and bare canvas the lid. buy several!

Nice basic shade to own. It's a matte light skin-beige color. I like using this to blend out the edges of my darker eyeshadows, or to fix eyeshadow mistakes, and sometimes as an overall lid base if I'm doing a neutral brown eye look. It's a tad darker than my natural skin tone, which is ok for most purposes, but I cannot use this for highlighting or concealing (hello brown bruises?). It can be slightly chalky sometimes, but not so much as to be a visible problem (I've had my share of chalky matte nudes...) Overall, very useful shade to have in your daily arsenal!

Another "Hells yes I would buy again" item.

It evens out redness, purpleness, blueness, and "Man, I slept like CRAP!"-ness on my upper eyelid. And under my lower lid. And in the inner corner. And anywhere else I might have redness (crying fit after nasty fight with hubby? Rare, but Brulee comes to the rescue!). Cancels out redness from the oh-so-occasional pimple that hasn't come to a head yet. I have one or two little teeny spider veins and two little age spots too. Brulee says "Buh-bye!" and off they slink until I wash my face and they reappear, much to my consternation. Covers up acnes scars that I naughtily picked.

Can use it alone as a brow highlight. Can use it to tone down too-shimmery, too-dark, or just-bleh colors. Can be applied as a subtle highlight all the way around my eyes ("Hi! I am wildly, madly awake, even though my kid was barfing until oh-dark-thirty this morning!") Can be used to even out the occasional dark circles (over primer). I've been known to use it to cut down on redness from an excess of sun out on the slopes for some dinner event or other.

Absolutely matte with not one bit of shimmer. As I get older, shimmer is becoming my Kryptonite. It tends to bring out those oh-so-not-attractive little crepey bits that are slowly sneaking up on me in my advancing age. This has no shimmer at ALL, a true matte shadow that manages to NOT be chalky. Miracle! Especially given this paritcular shade of nude!

As noted in countless other reviews, buttery-soft enough to load up your brush without a ton of fallout, but not so soft that it falls apart when you touch it. I have been using mine for about six months and have started making a decent dent in the shadow.

You know what? I need to get off my ass, like right now, and buy at least six backups of this. I will cry and cry if they discontinue it and then I will have no more Brulee to cancel out the redness from crying. WTH will I do then? *shudders* At $1.99 apiece, this is one absolute freaking CHEEEEEAP HG that I HAVE to stock up on.

Edit: yes, I got off my butt and bought three more, because the day after I wrote this review, I used my beloved Brulee and *gasp* *shock* *horror*...a tiny bit of pan peeking through!!! So now I have my back-ups, I feel safe...for the moment...I know they're gonna discontinue this and I won't be able to get them anywhere but ebay for ten bucks apiece...

Matte nude. Cancels discoloration and evens out lid color. Can also be used as a highlighter. This color is a dupe for the upper left corner of the discontinued Vanity and Greed palette and MAC brulee fyi.

This is my absolute favorite eye shadow that I have ever used. I have thousands of eye shadows, and I have never found one that I like this much or use as often. I wear this as a highlight or as a base shadow almost everyday because it matches my skin perfectly and evens out all of the pesky veins on my eyelid. It has amazing staying power. I don't find it chalky or drying either. I love this so much!

Attention: Asians who have tiny double lids!
After the disappointment with Nutty, I was hesitant to buy this. Nutty came out a frosty reddish muddy taupe on my light cool and yellow toned skin (it has taken forever for me to pinpoint my skin color!). But I decided to give it a shot.
I bought this with Revlon Vintage Lace in mind. I had used one up before. It's basically the same description as Brulee: matte, neutral, cream-colored, use it everywhere, use it to blend, etc. Here are the differences:
CONSISTENCY: Vintage lace was sliiiightly chalky. Brulee is sliiiiiiiighly chalky. Meaning, Brulee is ever so slightly chalky, but only under a magnifying glass. It comes very close to completely blending into my skin. I like it.
COLOR: Vintage lace was just... lighter than my skin. It was a straight-up cream. However, Brulee has this tiny bit of peach in it. Very unnoticeable unless you have my skintone. It brightens up my eyes, and makes my tiny double eyelids stand out (!!!!!) without looking like an eyeshadow. This is not something that my face powder can do. For this reason alone, I would repurchase.
PACKAGING: I think it's cute and compact. The package for Nutty was fine, but I feel like I'm going to break a nail every time I open Brulee.
REPURCHASE: Definitely... if I don't find something better by the time I finish this! =P

This is one of those shades that should be a staple for everyone with a fair to medium skin tone. It's pigmented and smooth, great quality for the price. You can find it for $1-$2 depending on the store and sales. In one layer it neutralizes my lids, if I build it up it's a lovely cream shade like Mac brule. I buy this every time I see it bc it is worth having back ups. The only con is that the packaging is very flimsy and your shadow could break in one drop or while traveling.
