Surprisingly wearable color for some skin tones. I am really enjoying the creamy matte texture and have experimented with different liners and glosses for different effects.
Kinda surprised at how such a pop color can be so versatile. If you're going to invest in an orange lipstick this summer go for Blaze. It is on trend, high pigment, high quality and plays nicely with the Buxom line for glosses and lining/layering with their lipsticks.
Gorgeous matte orange lipstick. On the Illamasqua website this is described as bright orange red, but on me (NC35) I don't see any of the red once it's on. Even though it's quite a bright colour I think it's totally wearable, as it can be toned down by adding a paler gloss on top, I like to add a pale peach colour lipgloss for when I need to tone it down. It's definitely a colour on trend for the summer.
I love matte lipsticks so that is a plus for me, but being a matte lipstick, it can be slightly drying but it's nothing a bit of lipbalm can't solve.
this si want of my favorite orange lipticks its wearable andyou can tone it down eith a gloss and it rocks i used explict ligloss from MAC and i love this combo i had alot of compliments
Blaze is a favorite of mine. I have huge lips but love bright lipsticks (and Illamasqua). This is no exception. It is definitely orange, but looks fab on. I actually worked for a pro sports team who's main color is insane, Halloween neon orange, and when I would wear this sometimes on game nights, even the players commented on how awesome it looked without going all "crazy woman." Love it, and will continue to repurchase as I run out.
Great color pay-off and long-wearing lipstick.
I stumbled upon this while on an emergency Sephora run to replace a broken nude lipstick (MAC Creme d'Nude). This line is apparently only available at the Sephoras in Times Square and Hollywood & Vine, so although I'm always in Sephora, I hadn't been able to give it a try in person. I had originally intended to buy a nude shade, but apparently picked up the wrong box - but I'm so happy I did!
The color payoff is IN-SANE! It is so rich, creamy, and pigmented that just one little swipe and a pursing of lips is all that's needed. And boy does this LAST! I reapply but there really is no need. It's a bit more orange than red, like I wouldv'e preferred, but it's still absolutely amazing. For the $20, it was absolutely worth it. I can't wait to stock up on all the others in this range! continued >>
