I have been using this 2x per day for just 4 days now and I see a huge difference in my skin already. My face is dry and I have eczema that gets really bad around my eyes and on my neck. At night I use a layer if Neutragena Acne Stress 3 in 1 lotion and then a layer of the CeraVe PM. In the morning I use the PM lotion then add my usual moisturizer with sunscreen. It's not the most moisturizing on its own but the combination with my other products seems to be doing the trick. I got out of the shower this AM and I wasn't a splotchy red mess like I usually am. I am truly impressed! After reading the reviews I did do a patch test on my neck for 2 nights before starting to use it on my face just to be sure it wouldn't cause a reaction.

My dermatologist recommended using Cerave over all other facial moisturizer/cleansers. That is a pretty high recommendation so I bought my first batch of the Cerave PM for the face about two months ago. I am happy to report that this is a new staple for me and in the past two months I have actually seen improvement in the tone and texture of my skin. I use this on my face before I go to bed and this is the first moisturizer I have used that actually seems to minimize my fine forehead lines. In the morning my skin seems much less dehydrated. I have combo skin which tends to get very dry but can still break out around the mouth sometimes. I have had no reactive breakouts to this product. Very good value as well. I am now very curious about Cerave's other products and if they work as well.

Typically I know whether a moisturizer is going to work after the first try or two but this one was deceptive and ended up being the worst product I’ve ever used on my face. Beautypedia rates it very highly and I thought I could save some $ by switching from department store brands. I have very sensitive and dry skin and this didn’t burn at all and moisturized well. My skin felt and looked softer and it worked well under spf and makeup so I thought I had found a great and inexpensive moisturizer and was really happy. A few days in, I started to notice a few pin sized pimples (I’ve never had any so small before) in spots I never get any and some red spots that looked like blemish scarring but I hadn’t actually had any in those spots. I knew it had to be from this since I hadn’t changed anything else in my skincare or makeup but I stupidly thought that it was my skin purging and decided to see if it cleared up after a couple of days. What a mistake… I ended up having the worst reaction ever when I woke up about a week and a half after I started using it! I got a sty on my lower lash line which I’ve never gotten before and it’s extremely painful. I woke up to so many pin sized pimples on my upper lip that it looked like a pus mustache and it was painful to even move my lip. It took forever with a blemish tool to pop them all and was so crazy painful my eyes wouldn’t stop watering. Under my jaw is now totally broken out as well and it’s really hard to access that area with my blemish tool. I can see pimples starting to form all over my forehead too. My face has never looked so awful and felt so painful. I’ve never had much acne before and now I can sympathize with the pain that people who do have to go through. I’m so mad at myself that I gave this the benefit of doubt. I should have stopped using it immediately after the first blemish. This went straight into the trash where it belongs.

Wow! Thank you fellow muaers so far so good. Wish I had discovered this years ago. Its relatively I expensive and readily available. I think this is a good, basic facial moisturizer. I don't know how it works in terms of wrinkle prevention or reduction or hyper pigmentation... Too soon to tell, too skeptical that anything so gentle could pack that wallop. I also have a few pimps on the horizon but I have been experimenting with a knew serum so whose to tell what the real culprit maybe.

Love this moisturizer so much. I've only been using it for a little bit but already my skin is looking so much more even, healthy and calm. I have a tendency to pop pimples, scratch at my skin, and generally use harsh products or things that are no appropriate for my skin which is combo/dehydrated and reactive. I picked this up after seeing it mentioned on morning news shows and in magazines, maybe because I buy into hype easily but also because the ingredients looked totally different than what I normally see in drugstore products. I know niacinamide is good for the skin as well as hyaluronic acid because it keeps skin moisturized for hours. What really caught my attention though when I did more research about the product was that this product claimed to restore the skin's barrier, which is honestly my biggest concern. So far my skin is seriously looking healthier every day which says a lot because it normally looks sallow and my skin picking makes my spots look irritated and red. The redness has calmed down and I can definitely feel my skin becoming thicker (it has been thinned out terribly by harsh products). I wore it in the day once but it felt a tad too heavy, so I will stick to neutrogena oil free sensitive skin moisturizer for now and keep using cerave at night. What's great about this product is I can do like three pumps and massage it into the skin for a minute and it absorbs nicely. I just wish the packaging was a little different, it's a little boring for such a nice product.

EDIT:
After three weeks of use, I have mixed feelings about this.
On one hand, it seems like an absolute miracle product. I've had severe whiteheads (as in hundreds of them) on my forehead for 8 years straight. No treatment, over the counter or from my dermatologist, has ever cleared them. As I mentioned in my previous review, lemon juice minimizes them temporarily, but that's the best result I've ever had. . . until Cerave PM. After three weeks, I'm down to less than a dozen whiteheads. Yes, that's right, I went from hundreds of whiteheads to less than a dozen of them in three weeks, and Cerave is the only change I'm made. I'm astonished.
But. . . the downside is that I'm having some small breakouts come up on the rest of my face, which had been pretty clear except for some blackheads. I'm hoping it's a purging thing? I'll have to give it some time.

This is an amazing product, especially for the price. I layer it over some retinol for moisturizing, and it feels really great.
I have normal skin, typical t-zone sort of thing. I wake up feeling refreshed, not greasy.

Love this!!! I purchased this along with the am version (Disappointment), but this pm version is awesome! It absorbs so nicely and it feels so good! Most of the time I do not need a moisturizer at night due to my Retin-A, but I do need something around my eye area. There is no fragrance ans it is not irritating to my sensitive skin.

I have been using it for a week and I've determined that I finally found my HG nighttime moisturizer. With these ingredients and for the price (I paid $12 for 3 oz), it's incredible. It contains high quality ingredients that are beneficial for and healing to the skin: glycerin, niacinamide, ceramides, and hyaluronic acid. It doesn't irritate my skin, doesn't break me out, it's fragrance-free, and it's helping my skin heal faster; however, it contains parabens if you're concerned about that.

Even though my skin is oily and acne-prone, it doesn't feel heavy at all. In fact, it's has the texture of a gel moisturizer, but that doesn't mean it's a light moisturizer; it's mid-range in terms of moisturizing, imo. The one thing that would make this a perfect moisturizer would be the inclusion of antioxidants. continued >>

I've been enjoying this moisturizer. I use it during the day under sunscreen and over serums at night. It does a good job at keeping my chronically dry skin comfortable and doesn't cause any breakouts or reactions. So far it's a keeper.

This is one of my staples. My dermatologist recommended the cleanser and this cream, which I use over Retin-A to reduce drying. No big miracles here, just a good moisturing lotion that does not break me out. I also use their cleanser and day cream with SPF (on top of prescription Actave). The combination has worked well for my acne. For now, the best drugstore lotion out there.

From the reviews, this is a hit-or-miss product. I'm one of the lucky ones - this worked out great for me. I generally have clear skin, but I was looking for a basic, inexpensive but nevertheless quality moisturizer without SPF for daytime use (I use a separate sunscreen). Previously I was using the Cerave lotion, but read that the facial formulas had even better ingredients; the packaging is also much more convenient - this will fit in my medicine cabinet unlike the large lotion bottle. This is slightly more moisturizing than the regular lotion, and so far I have no complaints. This does exactly what I wanted it to do at a price I'm happy to pay, and it's easily found at any drugstore. A new staple for me!

Like others, I got a bad rash from this moisturizer, even though the ingredients sound straight from an article in Allure. Who knows why. But I adore the crave cleanse and tub of body cream. Just this one bites.

One of the few skincare products I actually repurchase regularly. No frills, great moisture, leaving skin with a nice fresh palette to start with every morning. It's non-greasy and really lightweight. I have combination/oily skin (t-zone). This is great for it, but I probably would not wear under makeup during the day.

I went to the dermatologist because I had a couple of white spots on my face that were not tanning & extremely dry. I also had tiny red bumps (not pimples) on my cheeks. She prescribed me eczema medication (Elidel) & a topical antibiotic (Clindamycin) both which I stopped after a few days. The dermatologist ALSO recommended Cerave PM moisturizer which I began using every single day along with the Cerave cleanser. It's been two weeks now maybe even more, I'm not sure at this point & my skin is a MESS. One side of my face won't stop peeling and has tiny red little bumps similar to the ones I had when I went to see the dermatologist in the first place. Only now, my skin is even drier. I thought these products were extremely gentle & moisturizing but I guess not. I am going stop to using them starting tomorrow and will report back in a week. continued >>

This is one of the few skincare products that I have bought multiple times (i usually fall prey to the urge to try something new on the rare occasion I manage to actually finish a product). I've used it over the past year at night, all over my face and neck, and I wake up with nicely moisturized skin. I think I'm going to start using it in the daytime, too, under my sunscreen and foundation/TM. The texture is light (but not runny), never greasy, and doesn't leave a shine on skin once its absorbed (which is in a matter of minutes). I'll likely need to buy something richer as my skin starts to age, but for now, this is perfect!

The only light weight moisturizer I use other than sunscreen. Mainly use in summer months. Also good mixed with my retin-a and argon oil when I want a less oily texture. Love the pump.

So, this is ok for me: I do not use it "p.m." - it just isn't moisurizing enough. But - this is great for me for wearing under my foundation - just what I have been looking for, and I really like the pump. I'll buy it again -
