I managed to get this at US prices here in Japan so I was quite happy to give it a go.

The wand is curved to help flare out the lashes. I like that it doesn't clump and leaves my lashes defined and pretty compared to no mascara. I have a bit of a hard time not getting it on my skin when I do my bottom lashes though because of the large wand. I usually only do one coat but this could probably be built up.

It hasn't smudged on me and does what it is supposed to. The packaging is in a chubby purple tube, which is quite fun as I am used to minimalistic packaging. It is a good mascara, the only reason why I wouldn't buy this again is because I want to try the other Maybelline mascara formulas.

I purchased this after seeing a video by Tanya Burr who loves this mascara.

I have medium length sparse lashes that need lengthening and thickening without looking clumpy. I've been loyal to Maybelline Define-a-lash mascara for a couple of years now but I wanted to try a different mascara, so I bought The Falsies.

This mascara has quite a large curved tip/wand which feels a bit clumpsy. I feel that I'm not able to get into the "corners" of my eyes in the way that I'm able to with Define-a-lash which has a thin straight wand.

The Falsies is a lot more creamy than Define-a-lash but I can't build it up gradually the way that I can with Define-a-lash because so much product is deposited on to my lashes with the first swipe that by the second or third swipes it starts to form clumps. I haven't experienced flakiness, so the formulation is not a problem: my issue with this is its design.

The Falsies isn't a bad product if you already have thick and long lashes. However, I feel that for me, I'm not able to create the length and intensity I want. Define-a-lash on the other hand is an HG mascara: I love its precision and "natural" non-clumpy finish.

I would not buy this product again.

for me, this is a very mediocre product. it clumps, doesn't really make my eyelashes look at all like i have "falsies" on, and dries out very quickly. not wanting to waste it, i used it all as a second coat over mascaras that work well for me.

This is my favourite mascara that I have tried and I have tried a lot. It gives me length and volume and is very buildable. I don't get a false lash effect whatsoever but really, I understand now that no mascara is going to give that with my short lashes.

It holds a curl very well and doesn't flake or smear. I like this a lot more than The Collosal, although that Is still a great mascara.

To use, I apply about 3-4 coats to get the effect I want. If I am going out then I will layer Nyx Doll Eye mascara in long lashes over the top to give definition.

I've given this a 5 because I have tried so many mascaras but always return to this one. It isn't a HG but it's pretty close!

this is my fav mascara from maybelline. I have long lashes but they are sparse so I usually use volumising mascaras. always curl your lashes before applying any mascara, but you need a product that can hold the curls. what I do to make this mascara work for me is to apply it from 3/4 of my lashes' length, ie not applying right from the base.and also., you must use the correct side of the brush (the spooned side). be patient and applying from 3/4 of the lashes will layer on the length and volume. This does not smudge on my oily lids and my lashes feel feathery fluffy and light.

I bought this on a whim a few months ago as I've heard amazing reviews from the youtube community but I regret it every time i open my makeup drawer! It was clumpy and in an hour it flaked all around my eyes. Now, minor flaking doesn't bother me but this was horrible and multiple friends commented on it. Will be throwing this out.

I tried the falsies mascara years ago when it first came out (I think it may have been the falsies flared waterproof) and I absolutely hated it. It may have been because I was using the brush upside down back then. I recently decided to give the falsies mascara another try after seeing so many bloggers loving it and seeing how nice it looked in pictures. I'm so glad I did. My lashes look so full and it gives decent lenght and makes them really stand out. I like the thin scooped brush...I find it very easy to use, and it's a nice change of pace from all these big huge brushes flooding the market It also makes my lower lashes look perfect, like very few other mascaras do. I'm currently loving this mascara and I'm really surprised it hasn't gotten higher ratings on here.

I didn't like this product for a few reasons.

1) The brush always picked up wayyy too much solution, which resulted in clumpy lashes that took forever to dry.
2) Trying to do my bottom lashes with the wet, clumpy solution and hooked wand was very difficult and took a lot of precision patience.
3) The mascara had flaked off by the end of the day (or night), leaving a shadowy halo around my eyes.

All in all, not my best purchase. It really didn't do much for me. It may have lengthened my lashes but it didn't separate them, and it had very poor staying power.

Did not lengthen much which is what I need. It clumped my lashes together but the texture is quite smooth. Don't like the brush. Will not repurchase, have used many better mascaras, fell for the name "falsies"

I love Maybelline mascaras and I am often time impressed with their formulas and their mascara wands. I am a BIG FAN of the Volum' Express Colossal mascara (yellow tube) and decided to give this one a go when I finished that tube.
This has a curved/flexible wand which makes application to the lashes easier and distributes the product evenly to coat each lash.
The formula is very wet and very black which I am okay with. It was easy to build up drama on my thin lashes and it really defined my eyes.
It dries pretty crusty however, I did not experience any smudging or flaking. Removal is quite simple with warm water and mild cleanser.

I like this for volumizing and thickening my lashes, however it is not enough to lengthen my lashes therefore, I prefer the Colossal!
