I bought this for the hair bandit from paris hilton. it did'nt work on the hair. it says you can curl it but you really cant because the hair i synthetic. i don't know i'm not really sure about regular human hair extension. it will probably work best for those instead of the synthetic hair pieces from paris hilton

I bought this the other day from Sally beauty supply for $59.99 and it came with that round matching Ultimate Brush for free. I got it on the account that it was cheaper than its competitor the Instyler and also that the rotating barrel can be turned off if I wanted to use it only for curls.
I admit I was skeptical at first thinking oh gosh just another cheap product w Paris Hilton's name slapped all over it. No no, i was wrong. It does its job and I like how I can control the amount of heat I want. I also can use it with damp/towel dried hair. Plus it comes with that heat pad to place the styler down when not in use but is still hot. If you need to cut ur straightening time in half, I'd get this.
Also, unlike the instyler, the celebrity styler has nylon bristles on the device. The instyler has those boar bristles that for me causes frizz.

This item is from the December 2009 release of the Paris Hilton/Hair Tech products.
I've been wanting an INSTYLER for a very long time after seeing the infomercial. Even on Craigslist they were still around 100 dollars.
My hair is long, thick and wavy. I have a Chi iron, which I do love, but it takes me a good hour to flat iron. I haven't rushed to buy the Instyler because it was pricey for an extra tool when I already have a high end straightener.
I started to have a little carpal tunnel feeling from flat ironing my hair and it occurred to me that the Instyler might not take as many passes to do the job. My best friend, sent me the link to the Paris Hilton Celebrity Styler and I went immediately to Sally Beauty and bought it.
The Celebrity styler has a digital reading for heat settings up to 450 degrees and it says it can be used on damp hair.
You simply take a strip of hair and the rotation of the barrel starts when you close it down on the hair. You don't have to squeeze hard. It takes me only 1-2 passes to get a straight section. It's much easier on my hand than the Chi.
The barrel polishes the hair and makes it shiny. I still use a heat guard spray but I got great results from this product.
The bonus feature that the Instyler does not have is.. you can turn the rotating barrel off so it can be used as a large curling iron for flips, curls and waves. Woot.
I found it very easy to use and even on the stubborn course section at the back of my crown it did well but only if I went slowly. You can't speed through course hair. Take your time so it can do it's thing.
The Celeb styler is really pretty. It's black and hot pink. It says Paris Hilton on it and it has a matching 'Ultimate Brush' (see separate review).
I paid 59.99 for this at Sally Beauty which is well worth it. If you buy this item in January 2010 from Sally you will get the Ultimate brush free.
You can also purchase at http://www.getcelebritystyler.com for an easy pay price.
This is a very good product and reasonable. It works well. I love it.
I was able to straighten in much less time with great results. The double bonus was that I had dried my hair using the Ultimate Brush so it was somewhat straight. Good combination!
This company is also coming out with more hair products in 2010 and I'm very excited to try them.
