I actually lost the first bottle and immediately had to go out and buy another. I love white nails. And since it's a "trend" now I'm gonna wear it till I get bored of it. This color is literally on my nails every other manicure. It's opaque. It's creamy. It's not as dry as other white nail polishes I've tried. I can see why this wouldn't be the best for doing French nails though. But since I like my nails rather on the short side this is not an issue for me.
i have tried every white polish out there from cheap to very expensive. they are all either too sheer and need many coats or they are too thick and streaky. this one is a little bit streaky on the first coat but the second coat makes it the most perfect white out there. even the OPI white was only good for tips not all over color. anyway for a few dollars i love this white. finally i found one.
This is a stark white creme polish that dries to a medium gloss. Being streaky, 3 coats are needed to even out the color. Two coats are adequate if you're topping with glitter or a SH Fuzzy Coat. Be sure to let this dry well in between coats or it will be gummy; it takes a long time to dry. This is my first white polish so I have nothing to compare it to. I put 2 coats of SH Wool Knot (Fuzzy Coat) on top. It's the turquoise & white bar glitter, which looks great over this white. So far so good.
I brought this after running out of revlon's white on white polish.
I've nearly emptied this bottle and have had to thin it out a lot of times in only a few months. The Polish is super white but one coat doesn't do it! It's ugly and streaky and takes forever to dry if I'm not *really* careful to apply it thinly. On the positive, it is "xtreme wear" because I can be down mucking out stables and riding horses without gloves and not have to re apply before going out!
I'm surprised by the bad reviews on this site. This nail polish is absolutely amazing! Two coats and it's completely opaque on my nails. Paired with OPI's drip dry, I have a finished manicure in 15 minutes. Its staying power is incredible, I've worn this colour for a week straight before with no chipping. It makes your hands look really clean and polished. Highly recommend!
I bought this on recommendation, and its is very thick and white, but it's bit too thick. You still need more than one coat. I can thin it out, and it is cheap, but it's not the best. It's ok.
It's white all right. It's tricky though.
My first time using this polish I was pretty cranky with it. It was too thick and as a result of that it applied too heavy and then took forever to dry.
So next time I used it, not wanting to give up on a potentially good white polish, I was very careful to swipe the brush on both sides and apply a very thin layer. It dried faster, yes, but it was a bit streaky. So a second thin layer went on and it smoothed out and wound up looking lovely.
Honestly though, I rarely use it on it's own so it being perfectly even is not as much of an issues for me. I use it as a base when water marbling and sometimes as a base for crackles and glitters.
Still if you apply it carefuly and take a good long time between coats it'll be worth the wait. It's a beautiful white.
I like this little polish. I am on my second bottle already. It isn't perfect but the end result is what is important and the price is right. I put this up against OPI's Alpine Snow recently and painted some nails with this and some with the OPI. As far as wear time and color and the end result, I can't tell any difference. The differences are in the packaging and the formula. The brush is average size and fans out well for applying polish. The polish is a little thicker than others and it takes a little work to apply it as it doesn't self level. It dried in about the same time as the OPI. Two coats was enough to get good coverage, but 3 looked even better. It went on fairly smoothly although it did tend to take a little work in evening out. It takes 2 coats to get a nice look. It could cover in one but it applies unevenly so you have to add the second coat to even it all. I use this one a lot for nail art too as well as undies for neons or colors that benefit from it. You can't beat the price especially considering this is less than half the cost of OPI I can deal with some minor polish application issues. This is a good little product for the savings.
I bought this because I was looking for a nice opaque white for my nails. I swatched it in the store and thought it would work. WRONG! I got home and painted my nails and it was a disaster. I took that set off and repainted them and it was even worse. It's sooo thick and takes forever to dry. Two of my fingers dried with bubbles. I love the color, but it's just too much of a hassle. When I tried to apply it thinly, it was so uneven, I had to do it "thicker" and it just looks crazy. I will keep looking for my perfect white.
This polish looks great, and lasts about a week, with a base and top coat, with very minor chipping.
The formula could use some improving though. It takes quite some time to dry and goes on pretty thick. I'd buy this product again because it's a beautiful clean white, but I'm not crazy about the hassle it can be to apply. Next time I'll probably splurge on a more expensive white.
