It's a lightweight lavender scented cream, that is suited for normal skin during winter time. IMO, for any other types of skin it simply is too heavy or not moisturizing enough.
I have combination skin: dry to very dry cheeks and oily t-zone and this cream does nothing for any zone. It does not moisturize enough the dry patches on my cheeks and my t-zone is oily within hours. I've also applied it to my dry elbows and it did nothing.
So I'm not sure what the deal is... What it is supposed to be for. I find it very expensive for its properties. Just because it's 'natural' does not justify the price as you could very easily smear some coconut or shea butter and have the same effect for a third of the price.
Moreover, it has a 6-mo validity after opening the tin and because it comes in a larger quantity than usual (75 grams), it takes forever to finish. I'm currently working on it since February and I still have a lot to go!
I do like this moisturizer in general, but probably wouldn't repurchase. I got this in a SampleBar box and thought I'd give it a go! It comes in a gorgeous tin, but I prefer pumps for face creams. It has a nice lavender smell to it that doesn't linger on the skin. It takes a while to soak in properly, and at random times can make my face look quite greasy, but other times it doesn't? It hasn't made my face break out though. I can't find anywhere that it says it has SPF so I'm guessing it doesn't, but that sits well with me, I prefer my moisturizers not to. A bit expensive though, I think I'll go back to my Olay Total Effects after I've finished the tin.
I started using this a week ago as a replacement for my too expensive Lancome night cream. It works like a dream! I had a really bad cold, with the accompanying red sore nose from all the nose-blowing. Normally I just rub 8 hour cream on at night to let it heal, but I accidentally rubbed this all over my face instead of leaving out my nose. It did NOT sting! Normally everything stings like h*ll on my sore nose! It didn't sting one little bit. It just sank in, and although it was not as moisturizing as the 8 hour cream, it did help! Scent is lovely lavender. Highly recommended!

This is my 3rd pot of this multi-purpose cream. It's lightweight, yet nourishes skin pretty well and if you add a drop of body oil (almond, jojoba, whatever you have at home) it really makes skin glow. But I'm sad to see parabens in it and triethanolamine, which are suspect ingredients, when the rest of the ingredients are great. I'll finish this pot and then I'll try find something without the parabens and triethanolamine. Also, if you use this as a body moisturiser you'll finish this pot very quickly.

I think I have finally found my favourite moisturizer with this one.
It states that it is suitable for all skin types and I have to agree with that. I use it for my combo skin, which is oily during summer and drier during winter and it works alright.
I love how it smells, it is lavender smell, but nothing too strong - I would say mild to moderate. Another lovable thing is the packaging, they have various containers to choose from, so you can have packaging according to your art taste.
It contains 100% natural ingredients except glycerine, stearic acid, triethanolamine, cetyl stearyl alcohol, coumarin, geraniol, citronellol, limonene, linalool, methylparaben & propylparaben. (see their website http://steamcream.co.uk/Ingredients for explanation). It would be certainly better if they haven't used parabens, but as a scientist myself I can understand the usage for them.
Overall, I'm extremely pleased with this product and I will definitely repurchase it again.
Yes, for 18USD this is expensive, but I love this! The packaging is so very cute. I have the strawberry tin and I just recently purchased the Big Ben tin for my mother.
The cream itself is very light and glossy. It takes a while to absorb into the skin so I like to use it at night. The smell is a light and crisp lavender. This is why mom adores it.
I haven't had problems with the product leaking in my purse. I make sure to screw the lid on tight. I am half way through with my tin and I plan on purchasing another, hopefully one of the other designs that came out for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.
Great product!!
I was really intrigued by the company's ethos of using natural, vegan, and sustainable ingredients but the clincher for me was the cute packaging! During the colder months, I use it on my face both during the day under my makeup and at night before bed. I don't find it to be too greasy and it works wonderfully under my makeup. That being said, during the warmer months, I only use it at night and not under my makeup as it does tend to be a little too rich for me when it is hot out.
The only problem that I have with this product is the fact that it does come in a pot-style container. Although it is very cute it is not the most hygienic to be dipping your fingers into the cream - so of course, be sure to wash your hands thoroughly and to not double dip.
For reference: I have normal-combination skin. In the winters my skin is fairly normal and I don't really have any issues with oiliness but my cheeks to get quite dry and in the summers I do struggle with some oiliness through my t-zone.

Well, I must admit, I bought this mainly due to the super-cute packaging and was a bit shocked at the price (£13) but my skin has been a bit red and blotchy recently so I gave it a go as it it full of nice essential oils etc.
Anyway, I used it overnight and did look like an oil slick, but in the morning, my face looked so much calmer and generally better. Not a regular thing for us oilies, certainly not during the day, but a great treat for the skin.
Also feels amazingly soft and light to the touch.

The cream just sits on my skin for a long time before getting absorbed. Compared to First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream. the Steamcream is thicker, oilier but less effective. The tins are cute, but thats about it for me. After several tries (trying it cold, warming it first in my hands, small quantities, medium quantities, on my legs, on my hands etc.) I gave up. I just tossed 2 cans out.
I love this moituriser! I used to use the Sweet Asa steam cream from B never to Busy to be Beatiful, Lush's sister company that closed down a few years ago and this moisturiser is made by the same people. Although it has changed slightly,(Sweet Asa contained honey so it wasn't suitable for vegans), it works just as well. I am prone to spots and my skin is quite sensitive so it can be quite hard to find a good moisturiser that doesn't aggravate my skin. For some it may feel slightly too oily as when first applied it doesn't sink in instantly and leaves you with quite glossy looking skin, but it soon disappears and leaves your skin very soft. I have used it morning and night for almost 2 weeks now and it has definitely improved the texture and appearance of my skin and I have to say I feel my pores appear smaller!
Packaging is lovely but make sure you screw the lid on, the moisturiser itself is quite fluid and could result in some spills on carpets.
Will definitely repurchase this once the one I have is empty, although a little goes a long way so it won't be for a while!
