I bought this online so I was unable to test the texture of the product. I intended to use this for my face as a daily sunscreen under my makeup but this is clearly not for that purpose. It is far to greasy and I simply cannot spread it enough so that it does not look patchy.
It is also difficult to get a consistent texture when squeezing out of the tube, because it comes out as an oil + paste somehow.

I'm so excited to have found this product. I recently moved from California to Australia. Although sun exposure is high in both locations, the low humidity in south east Oz and state-of-the-ozone-layer down here has increased my need and frequency of use of sunscreens. I've been using EcoLani sunscreen for years. It has a lovely smell, is natural and moisturizing, and doesn't irritate or clog my hyper-sensitive, acne-prone skin. However, it is made in northern California, and is only readily available there or online in the US. So, I started the search for a natural sunscreen replacement, readily available in Oz. I was very hopeful and excited about Live-Live's Natural Sunscreen, but that ended when I developed a nasty red rash. So sad. Enter Soléo All Natural Sunscreen SPF30+.

Soléo is:
- fragrance neutral, so it doesn't compete if you like to wear perfumes
- almost clear and very thin in application, meaning it doesn't give an ashy effect and only a light shine.
- water-resistant
- made from organic and all natural ingredients according to naturopathic principles
- rated the highest for low toxicity on Skin Deep/Cosmetics Database
- titanium dioxide free (zinc oxide has lower toxicity)
- free of synthetic preservatives, colours, and fragrances
- coral-reef safe
- developed in Australia, and made here as well (although main base and manufacturing is in California).
- selected as best sunscreen by Elle magazine

I’m SO happy, because I don’t have to ship my old natural sunscreen from the US (bad for the environment and expensive) and this is a definite step up in all-around quality and performance. Soléo is awesome! I encourage you to try it!
