I find this a great scrub, scent is very pleasant. Moisturizes without feeling to greasy. My only complaint...I feel it's over priced. I feel I'll only ask for it as a gift, but I couldn't see myself paying this much if I have a comparable DS or DIY scrub.
I would re-purchase this for the scent alone, it smells Delicious!! The sugar particles in it are big and dissolve as you work it into your skin, the consistency is lovely and thick and you can really work it in and get a good scrub, fab on knees and elbows. Skin feels super soft afterwards and did I mention the scent lol!!! I find I don't need to moisturise afterwards but I usually do out of habit.
I LOVE this body scrub! It smells absolutely amazing (just like a sweet shop!) and makes your skin feel really soft and smooth. The only problem for me is that I fake tan a lot and as this contains oils, leaves a residue on the skin which I find can cause my fake tan to streak (hence the 4 stars). However I still love this product and recommend it, but I still prefer my HG St Ives scrub during the tanning months. If you're pale skinned and proud though (unlike me) this will be perfect for you.
Brill body scrub. I'd been using it once a fortnight on my elbows and upper arms for over six months and I've only now had to replace it. You could make something similar yourself, but why bother if you can get it on special offer at Boots?
Love it! Smells great, leaves my skin feeling refreshed and smooth. The packaging is great as well which is another bonus. I'd prefer it if it was on offer more but I would still buy it if it wasn't. Another win for S&G!
I thought they had discontinued this, then I cried, and cried, and cried.
So glad when i went into Boots and saw it sitting there cheekily. In a whole new packaging.
Scrubs deserve to be used religiously. This one has an amazing smell!
Even if you do not like the scrub, just buy it for the smell ok?
This product is great and i ABSOLUTELY love it!!
This is a great intensive scrub that does a brilliant job of de-scaling my arms and legs and smells fabulous to boot. You only need a small amount, and it exfoliates effectively without being scratchy or uncomfortable. The oils leave a nice layer of comfort on the skin when rinsed, without being overly slick or goopy. I use it once a week to thoroughly exfoliate, and it does the job perfectly.
And did I mention the smell? It's GLORIOUS!
Smells amazing, scrubs off dead skin without scratching the skin and youonky need a llittle bit! Excellent product
The Sugar Crush Scrub and the Breakfast Scrub are by far my two all time favourite, best ever HG scrubs for my skin. The reason why I love this one is due to the fact it doesn't irritate my overly dry, sensitive skin, and its so gritty and grainy that you can feel it really working. I only exfoliate once a week because any more than that and my skin becomes very dry and irritated, but it literally leaves my skin in superb condition. Super soft and absolutely no dry patches. I also love the smell, it is very fragrant with lime, which is one of my favourite scents for bathroom products. Would definitely recommend this and buy again.
I was never attracted to the Soap & Glory range. I found the packaging a bit tacky, but my brother & his girlfriend bought me a huge Soap & Glory gift set for Christmas - & I'm so glad they did, even if just for this product!
I have a love/hate relationship when it comes to scrubs. I love the exfoliation but I also have a phobia of any beauty products that have too much oil... & I've encountered too many in the past that left me wanting to then soap off the excess oil off my body.
I'm normally more for sweet-scented products (vanilla, coconut etc) & im generally not keen on lime anything (unless it's with Tequila)... but when I opened the lid I found the scent to be amaaaaaazing! A perfect balance of fresh & sweet that I'm convinced smells so good that it would win over anyone. A bonus is that the smell of the product lingers in the bathroom, and not in an overpowering way!
The product itself I personally didn't find too oily (& I hate hate hate having grease on my hands) and it washed off pretty easily without leaving me drenched in oil. You don't even have to moisturise after because the subtle amount of oil left on your skin locks in the moisture of the water. In addition, I don't want to moisturise because I simply don't want any other product to take the yummy smell off my skin.
All in all, one of the best beauty products I've used in a long time. The only annoying thing is that since the product comes in a tub and assuming you're already in the bath/ shower, you have to dry your hand before every time you want to take any scrub out because the scrub is sugar-based, you don't want water in there to dissolve the sugar and it also turns a bit milky when mixed with water. Saying that, it's not a big enough complaint to knock a lippy off the rating!
At £8 it can be considered expensive for what it is, but I find it justifiable because of just how much I love the product and a little goes a long way so it'll last quite a while!
